Ok where it is,us
The location was what we were after, near the max line going downtown. In this respect it was perfect. The staff was very pleasant and helpful/
It was a bit dated, could use better beds. We weren't really complaining though.
I reserved a king non smoking and when I arrived I was told by a very rude woman that they only had a queen smoking available! There were 5 cars in the parking lot all night and the hotel was dead so I really don't know what the issue was but the room and facility was terrible
$15 pet fee filthy room toilet clogged and when I went down to tell them they handed me a plunger with a look of disgust and no offer to actually come
heating and cooling unit was very difficult to find a comfortable setting
It's a cheap place. Simply satisfying the purpose it serves. A bed and shower away from home with a few amenities. Don't mean those amenities work or will work, but they are there. For example, TV remote control may not work. Fridges with broken or missing thermostat knobs, flaky slow and confusing internet. Foreign born management so different culture but communication is not a problem.
Poor internet access, some electrical sockets are nothing buy holes in the wall...they don't work. Age old equipment are fire hazards eg Fridges in the rooms are from the 1960s and early 70s most don't have temperature control knobs. Facilities and furniture that is broken is left unfixed. Electrical fixtures that don't work or are falling apart are hazards waiting to happen. These remain unfixed. Light bulbs that are burned out and left unattended are an indication of the ignorance or lack of interest thereof towards maintenance.
Everything was great besides the things i didnt like
You guys should give more towels, more pillows and atleast have shampoo and conditioner.
This facility is a 5-minute walk from a major mass transportation hub, which was perfect for me, a non-driver! Couldn't have been better.
Place was nice and quiet.
Older place...very dated. Hard cheap mattress and mismatched linens. Ripped bath towels in bathroom. Chipped tub and very low spout for shower....would have been ok if I was 5 foot tall.
Easy on off to Hwy 26 & 217
Did not anticipate a Rodeway being located in the same parking lot as the local gentlemen's club. I suppose if this is what you enjoy for entertainment, all would be great. Noisy, not able to park near my unit - opposite side of the motel from parking lot (for obvious reasons). No other restaurant facilities nearby.
The location was an easy 12-15 minute drive into downtown Portland. The wifi worked wonderfully and the towels and linens were clean. I felt secure in this building as well.
I selected this hotel after searching for a property that accepts dogs. I was quoted, emailed and confirmed a total price including tax. Upon arrival at check-in, I was told to pay an extra $15 pet fee (even though this was never previously stated). I understand the purpose of the fee but was aggravated that I was not informed ahead of time (I had even emailed the hotel separately to notify about my small dog). That additional fee brought this budget hotel up a price category and, therefore the price was not worth the quality of the stay. Lastly, the shower water never turned hot only warm.
not wheelchair accessible at all. They could not accommodate anything with a different layout.
It's dingy. Lots of deferred maintenance, tired furnishings, peeling paint, old TVs smelled of cigarette smoke, worn out carpets, beds & linens. The place needs a complete overhaul and upgrade - especially given the rates being charged. Tub had residual hair, shower surround was cracked and counter seals would probably have looked better if they were applied by a child. The "breakfast" was pathetic.
The staff was quite gracious upon arrival, as well as when returning key to exit our stay the next day. The room was tastefully decorated and clean. It was within about a 5-10 min drive from Downtown Portland, where we were planning to go.
The smell of cigarettes from the smoking rooms, while entering through the hall to our room:/
Initia!lly didn't look all that promising. But we were pleasantly surprised. We were traveling with friends. We all agreed that was the best night sleep on our 7 day trip! The room was clean, quiet and mattress was Great!
The exterior was not that appealing. Could use some updated curb appeal.
the staff was friendly and helpful! The room was clean and the bed looks comfortable
breakfast very very limited
The front desk woman, I am sorry I don't remember her name - but very, very helpful. She was an employee not one of the other people who were there.
Immediate area is kind of sketchy.
Room was a good size, bathroom was clean, quiet neighborhood
Sheets had hair on one of the beds, desk was unattended a couple of times, remote didn't work for tv
The bed was comfortable.
You hear the highway, so it is loud. And the faucet of the shower was broken. Also there was hair in the bath tub.
Good value.good bed.
Shower head is way to low, seems made for someone of 5 feet in height as is washing basin. Windows stick and do not close in room 137.
Very large beds and free WiFi was very nice. Mini fridge and microwave were a good touch but did not work.
It smelled really bad of smoke. Bed was really hard and the shower was so low you had to crouch to use it. Continental breakfast was a joke. Some toast and beverages was all it was. You get what you pay for.
Short stays ok. The building is in need of a much needed renovation. It's ok for simply fulfilling the purpose of giving you the traveler, a place to unwind and rest.
If you want extended stay this is not the place for you.
It was really close to everything I planned for the weekend. Nothing was that far away.
More lighting in the hallways.
everything, this place was so run down & dirty we left a day early, I feel really ripped off, I would like a credit, I have stayed in Roadway Inns before & they were nice, I will never choose one again. This place should either be updated or closed!
It was very clean, and it is very conveniently located if you are traveling along Hwy. 26! Although it wasn't early enough in the morning for our needs, there is free coffee. Pleasant receptionist.
No vending machine if you need a snack or bottled water. (You can cross the street to a convenience store, if you must.) For early risers who need to get on the road, the coffee didn't start until 6:30...
1/4 mile or so from blue-line tram. Quite fast to downtown without traffic and parking hassles. Nothing much in the neighbourhood but a local tavern, strip bar and mart. Friendly maintenance man, others ... well just ok. Recommend if you just want to sleep in a reasonable cheaper room.
We had two non-smoking rooms. One was good, other room was likely used for smokers when they needed the room $. Shower heads were really low and hot/cold varied somewhat. Sheets were not changed for 3 nights. One room had "no" housekeeping service for two days. Manager said he didn't know and did not offer compensation until I pushed the matter and received a 10% charge back. Continental Breakfast included? Don't bother. That is what you get for the cost.
