Rodeway Inn - Berkeley  

There were several tings to like at the Roadway Inn-Berkeley. The staff was very friendly and checking in and out was very easy, the rooms were very clean, comfortable and (for a single female traveling) appeared very safe. There were several resturants within walking distance. Was able to walk to both Berkeley and the North Berkeley Bart, so I saved on not having to rent a car. A contenental breakfest was also provided that had several options to chose from. The cost was very reasonable. I enjoyed my stay and would definately go back.

Because cars park in the enterence to rooms, it could be noisey, but even that was occassional when people locked their cars.

I liked it because it is very clean, good price, breakfast is free access, the rooms are comfortable, the bathroom clean and give you shampoo, soap, towels changed every day, the atmosphere is friendly, staff very good, and very close to downtown Berkeley and the University of California. Very good hotel.

I was satisfied with the hotel, met with what I expected.

It was large and had everything I needed for a weeks stay!

Quiet and comfortable

A charming, well run, well located motel. Friendly, helpful and polite staff and a charming setting. The landscaping and flowers make you forget you are a hundred feet from a city center street. All in all a delightful place I would recommend to anybody needing a central place to stay in Berkeley.

Continental breakfast was nice to have. The room was clean, although very dated.

The room was dated, which surprised me since it advertised a remodel in 2007. The bathroom was remodeled, but not the rest of the room. The walls are very thin and we could hear our neighbors until midnight every night. Booked a king and received two doubles.

The location was good. Enough restaurant around and close to the Bart station.

The staff seemed annoyed with any request. The breakfast could have been better and the tables to eat could use some cleaning once in a while.

The room was stuffy and smelled bad. There was only one window to open, at ground level, which left me exposed to passers-by and reduced my physical security. There was no comfortable chair in the room for reading. Men who must have had the same problem were lying on their beds with the door open, which was creepy.

it was very well maintained but not fancy. The price seemed high for what you got.
