New place. Good neighborhood. Walked around even late night. Parking free but limited.
Was close to where I needed to be. Room was clean and comfortable.
Staff was very accommodating and helpful! Very knowledgeable about the surrounding area! Room was cozy and clean, very comfortable stay! The breakfast served was not your average one you get at most hotels in addition to the usual items (toast, bagels, muffins, pastries, cereal, fruit) they had eggs, bacon and sausage to choose from as well! Very excellent experience would recommend to any one wanting to stay near the city but not spend alot of cash to do it! With the extreme accessibility of the subway station within walking distance being just a few blocks up from this hotel it couldn't have been easier to travel to and from the city and other places we were wishing to travel too! We did not have to worry at all about making sure to catch the last shuttle to the hotel so there was not near as much stress on this trip! As well as free parking at the hotel for the entire stay! Felt safe in the hotel as well as to and from the subway station - - even let our teenage daughter walk to the car and vending machine area at the hotel without worrying about her being safe that's how safe we felt here! A+++++++
Parking lot needs to be a lot bigger! Also need to have YES network within the tv channels as well as a channel guide in the rooms! Sounds petty for a complaint but the hotel was so good and it was a GREAT experience that these are the only things I have to complain about!
Location, location, location
Friendly helpful staff. Close to subway. Felt safe in the Bronx.
Parking could be a challenge. 8 spots total available for whole hotel.
Everything was great, I was really surprised, given that from the outside looked so small.
They need a bigger parking lot.
Left car keys at the reception in case car needs to be moved as insisted by receptionist which is understandable. Came down next morning to find the windows of the car left open. No tangible reason was given for that. Luckily all valuables were intact.
It was a fair value. The breakfast items were good.
Room's were very small and the facility smelled like smoke through out.
the room was clean
the room was a little small
We chose this place for its proximity to the NY Botanical Gardens. They were fantastic! We appreciated the staff taking care of our car in the front parking lot. Space was limited but they had the keys to move it when necessary.
It was further from a subway station that we realized. Maybe 8-10 blocks which was hard for me since I can't easily walk long distances any more.
close to zoo
no guaranteed on site parking
We were able to park on site.
Very noisy between rooms.
I loved everything. It was my 21st birthday weekend, we got there and they let us check in early, our room wasn't ready so they gave us a room that was so we weren't waiting around. Room was a great size for us and the bathroom was very clean. The staff were super nice and very helpful with getting around the city.. we woke up too late for breakfast but there's always next time! we plan on staying there again next year for the weekend ! Would recommend this place to anyone!
All amenities available in the room. Good breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Convenient location ,close to shops, subway D train to Manhattan and the outstanding Bronx and Botanical Gardens. Area safe. Community colorful and vibrant.
Cable tv channels limited, with poor reception. Rooms need a higher standard of cleanliness. Decor could be improved. Room rates could be more competitive .
Nice rooms. Very cozy
Staff could be friendlier
Staff were very nice...good to have ecess to the ice, microwave etc 24hrs
Double rooms not spacious enough for families.. I guess its NY... Coming from Europe l guess l always got a better room than that and sometimes could smell cigeratte in the none smokers room... could keep the landing a bit cleaner
Didn't have regular television channels as 2 and 4 major network channels
The lobby was attractive and welcoming. I appreciated the parking availability. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was small but efficiently set up and the bed was comfortable.
I reserved a non smoking room but it had an odor of smoke to it. There was no sign in the room or on the door that it was a non-smoking room, so maybe they allow smoking for other guests who request smoking. Also the hallway reeked of smoke. So all of my clothes smelled of smoke when I got home. The sink, shower and mirror in the bathroom were not quite clean. Bagels at the continental breakfast were NOT real NYC bagels!
the comfortable beds
We were super satisfied with our stay. Extremely nice rooms that are beautifully decorated and furnished, everything neat and clean. Service really good and breakfast also very fulfilling. I can highly recommend.
The doors are very loud when opening and closing so some ear plugs for sleeping were for me necessary.
Rooms clean little tight quarters but overall layout works well. Bed and pillows comfortable, shower awesome
No bedspread, takes totally away from the decor. Automatic lobby door not only broken but no sign to indicate that it was broken NOT ACCEPTIBLE... Went to check in and thought no one was in the loby to tegister. When I returned I learned about ur poor excuse for parking. U should disclose this issue. I paid 40$ to park..not cool. Work out a deal with Botanical Gardens Parking lot on Bedford Park. I would recommend place if these issues are resolved. I day in the area at least 15 niyes a yr and at times book 3 rooms.
The room was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable.
The "complimentary parking" was extremely limited (it fit maybe 5 or 6 cars) and was on a first-come, first-served basis. I always had to park on a street, and since the Rodeway Inn is not located in the best neighborhood, parking was stressful.
