Bed is terrible, room is dirty, I would never come back
Location on the Blue Line trolley. Easy access ride to the Riverwalk.
Place is staring to fall apart. Open gaps and holes in the shower/toilet room and facets about to fall apart.
Front desk attendant, Alex, was extremely helpful with suggestions as to what to see and do. He's very friendly and accommodating..
The rooms need cosmetic upkeep and the matresses had a sunken in look and feel.
Night shift guys were very helpful. Very convenient from the hospital and highway.
The ants in the bathroom.
Our reservation was after 3, we had change of plans so we were there around 9 am and needed a room asap. The ladies all worked together as a team to get us a clean room ready. The room was good and clean.
We arrived around 10:00pm for our reservation that we had made a month prior. We unloaded all our suitcases & bags and proceeded to the second floor (no elevator). Unlocked the room, and it had not been cleaned (mind you this was at 10:00 PM and this room looked like they had thrown a wild party.) We then given a second room where our key did not work . Marched to the office once again, only to be told we had to pull UP on the handle not down..would have been nice to been advised that at first. The beds were hard, squeaky matress sitting on top of a box spring with one flat pillow. My friends bed did have 2 flat pillows but one smelled like man's body odor. The next morning, we realized all we had were 2 bath towels period. No washcloths, no hand towels. The bathtub had black mold around the caulking and the tub was so stained. Was unable to wash my hair due to the hair dryer not working either. We went to iron our clothes and the iron was missing. We tried to call the front desk but the phone did not work. Now, we are running late to our meeting with dirty hair and wrinkled clothes - great impression!!We assumed the maid would fix the missing towels, iron, etc. Wrong!! We paid a staff member to raid the maids closet to help us. I then tried to get on the Wi-Fi put to no avail. It would connect but would not pull anything up. I had been in the office earlier and the desk clerk had advised another person with the same complaint that they were having trouble with AT & T connection. So needless to say, I was unable to get any work done!! Now, not only am I unhappy but so is my employer. When speaking to other guests in the rooms, they stated their rooms were like ours so I knew that if I moved yet to a third room I would probably have the same problems. We did inquire about other rooms at other hotels only be told they were full due to the conventions in town. We did visit a friend at another hotel and wash and dry our hair.
The king sized bed
This hotel was very conveniently located to a trolley-bus stop which took me where I needed to go downtown. The room had basic amenities that you would expect from a budget hotel. It's located directly adjacent to a good old-school diner.
I found a roach on the bed after I had set down a plate of food on it. Yuck! The building I was in was next to a building where vagrants congregated. You walk out of your room and the first thing you see is vagrants staring at you. Sleep was difficult because people were slamming doors and setting car alarms until around 4:00 in the morning.
I like the front desk help he was terrific the price I Liked.
I didnt like the weak wifi. I didn't like how dirty the rooms were the carpet and beds drapes the mildew smell the motel needs renovation today
Location near to downtown without being in the middle. Near Luby's. Price great.
I could not get on WiFi in my room. Breakfast was a misnomer. Bars and rolls are not a breakfast. When I checked in there were two cleaning carts in front of my door and trash all over under the stairs. It was not picked up so I did it myself. Although I marked out the cost of the safe, I was charged for it and had to go back in to get a refund after I had checked out.
I loved the location and the proximity to LuLu's Restaurant. Great price. It is an economy inn at an economy price.
I would have given it Good reviews across the board if not for the pillows. They were so dinky and overused that I could not get comfortable all night. If you like a decent towel bring that along as well. These work fine but have definitely undergone a thousand or more washes.
The staff were helpful and it was a good size room. A quick bus from downtown or short walk. Lubys cafe opposite was delicious and cheap. Lulus next door also great.
The bed was extremely creeky and loud and Everytime I'd move in either bed it would make a noise and it was very unpleasant trying to sleep. I tried moving the mattress and the same thing happened.
Wifi is broken.
We paid 40 bucks for one night.... the bed was clean and comfortable....for the price not too shabby
The bathtub wouldn't drain properly and the bathroom needed some updating
no service phone
We like it position in downtown and cheap prize..
Everything was good but maybe breakfast can be better :)
Sheets an towels are dirty Very slow WiFi Breakfast is just wholesale purchased snacks Everything except location and price
Price Clean Friendly Beside 24 hour dinner
Rooms in need of renovation
The location is good & very close to everything.
Price was low and location was not too far from Riverwalk.
Bathroom was the worst I've ever used. Toilet seat was broken, Shower head was very low and rusty, and the water alternated between very hot or very cold, but was never consistent. My son got slightly burned while in the shower. Tub needed to be refinished.
No suprises. We got what we paid for.
There were a couple of young guys, that appeared to not be guests, with one of the cleaning girls inside one of the rooms smoking and acting like a couple of immature high school kids.Than another young girl, covered with tattoos, drove in and joined them. Oh, the two guys were on foot.
The room was clean and perfect. Fridge was working but the microwave was dirty. The tv was working. The wifi doesnt have the strongest signal to watch youtube videos. And the bathroom was clean but ehh, its just the bathtub was alil run down.
I didn't like when some people can't read "Do not disturb sign" and talk loud enough that I couldn't get any sleep. Last month of my stay, Sometimes the house keepers would knock on our door way earlier like 30 minutes before the check out time and would continue knocking like every 10 minutes from there and I got super annoyed that I have to yell through the door that it wasnt even time yet. Thank god that didn't happend again or I would never come back to this place again.
Close to downtown
Room smelled musty. Both beds were dipped towards the center and were so uncomfortable. Shower stall walls were peeling, carpent was so filthy. There were so many homeless people around the hotel. The people staying upstairs were physically fighting and was pretty scary. WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!
the location was great and the trolley site was on site which was also great.
The keys constantly malfunctioned, the "free internet" signal was so weak we could not connect. Half the bed had a huge indention and the coverlet was so old it was scratchy. Maids left dirty towels behind and did not empty all the trash, the room had a musty smell. The cable TV constantly would blink in and out. The continental breakfast was a joke, it looked more like a candy selection than a breakfast. The pool was filthy.
We just needed a place to sleep and shower so we could sight see. We didn't want to spend our money on extravagant hotels. We wanted to tour San Antonio and eat good food.
