spacious rooms clean new bathrooms freshly painted nice flat screen tv cable price close to restaurant free coffee microwave & frig in room It appears that it is in transition from a Knights Inn to a Rodeway.
stained carpet broken furniture no cable guide no coffee pot in room
Location was fantastic! 10minutes to Mystic,10minutes to Groton Long Point, 5 minutes to New London. Decent restaraunts in the area. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
Some kind of ashtrays out side the building would be nice. Even if you're a non-smoker, looking at those is better than looking at cig butts all over the ground. Also, the walls are quite thin. Other than those small things this place was great!
Nice, courteous staff. Overall clean room.
There was a chair in the room that either needed to be professionally cleaned or reappolstered. It was very dingy and dirty looking.
Near to eating places friendly staff. Clean
Great place to stay for the money. The room was very clean and comfortable. I would stay again if in area
Clean and comfortable room. Good location.
Very clean and comfortable, helpful staff, great value, overall well above our expectation!
* I liked that the desk was open when I arrived around 2:45. He was very accommodating. * My stay was extended for a late check out, and I was appreciative that the desk clerk accommodated my request without a hassle. * beds are clean, but could use updating
* front desk clerk had to check that the room I had reserved was clean before I could check in - like that he insisted on checking on the room, but why was that necessary at 2:45 in the morning, after I confirmed my late arrival earlier via the phone. * bathroom accessories / accommodations need improvement * beds could be updated
Clean convenient, Flat screen tv. Hot shower. Quiet. What can I say the pictures don't do it justice.....
The general manager, Terrence was very nice and extremely knowledgeable in regards to the area. The room was spacious and modern. Plenty of outlets to plug gadgets in. Location to casinos and to mystic attractions is very convenient.
Room was NOT clean. Luckily I travel with Bleach wipes. The toilet had a residue of "stuff" all over it that I believe to be vomit judging by the smell. Found dip in the extremely loud fridge and an empty condom wrapper just slightly under the bed (not ours). The shampoo provided was almost empty and was clearly left over from a previous guest. There is no daily maid service and they have the gall to leave a tip envelope (for what service) and we had to go and request clean towels of which you only get 2 small bath towels. Bathroom door stuck and was noisy. Paper thin walls and we had the 2 minute man and his girlfriend/wife banging the bed off the wall next door. The train passes right by, frequently. Not worth the price! Will stay somewhere else next time.
the best thing is that i close to downtown where you canfind almost everything to eat.
they have not breakfast facilitys only cooffe, and a veder machine
As stated in survey...good value for money and excellent location. early check in request honored...very helpful staff...adequate accommodations.
Asked for a No Smoking room...received a smoking room that was cleaned and given to us as no smoking. after airing out room and spraying with disinfectant I thought it would be acceptable. It was not cigarette butts under mattress and a horrible stale smoke smell any time we left room and came back. This in my mind makes the trip on accommodation end a complete fail. The smell got in our clothes, on the fresh towels, everything. In todays world no smoking means No Smoking ever in the room. This was not acceptable and should never be tolerated at any facility. I think great care should be taken to fix this problem. I think some sort of future compensation should be directed our way. After arriving home all clothes whether dirty or not had to be washed to rid smell. Please attend to this matter.
The room was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. everything was great. I liked the price
the stairs upstairs were a little steep
I like the quiet area
The room w/ a queen size bed was large enough and uncluttered. The room was very clean and the staff was very accomodating. Jake, at the front desk, brought us an extra pillow when we called him, and then sent the maid in when we needed her ( who was also very nice - sorry I did not get her name to mention).Jake then followed up to make sure everything was OK. At checkout the next day, I was also met by a sweet, pleasant girl at the and the desk, and another maid said a friendly Good Morning as we were leaving. We appreciated the kindness of the entire staff !
The A/C was the kind that kept turning on & off when the temp was reached, and , unfortunately, someone above or next to us kept their TV on all night, so when the A/C went off, we heard their TV and it woke us up.
Location to mystic and casinos is wonderful. But mostly, the value. It is clean and comfortable. If you are satisfied with a standard motel feel, this place is perfect. We are repeat guests and you won't find a price better than this in area, for value. Staff is always incredibly friendly as well. New renovations, very new motel.
Location was excellent
Vending station too far. Break area too small. Bedspread looked worn. Towels too small, not enough.
I booked a "smoking" room on the sale price, but wanted non smoking. Well, no problem. I like quiet and this was quiet. On this busy weekend, someone did play a TV but the walls seem thick and so I had to try hard to know that. The bathroom looked new. The ceiling looked new. The rug looked new. I asked not to be disturbed on my second morning and I wasn't. There was Turner Classic MOvies on the television. I wish other places would get the idea that this is worth staying at the hotel. I could go down and not to Mohegan Sun to play poker and just stay in the hotel and watch the old movies with NO commercials. The best access to plugs I have ever seen anywhere. I needed no extension cord for my sleep apnea or my computer. Almost every light had built in plugs. Very convenient. Shower had a nice curtain on a bowed curtain rod. Lots of room. Plenty of hot water. Easy adjustments. Easy drive 9.3 miles down Kings highway to the Mohegan Sun. Plenty of delightful bird sounds in the morning. Delightful staff who were always there and listened to my few suggestions for improvements.
A coffee maker would be nice. The refrigerator made an annoying banging noise. It had lots of space but I unplugged it if I wanted to sleep or watch TV. The microwave seemed to lack the glass plate. The entrance is a bit weird and not clearly marked. Facing the motel you enter on the extreme left. Another road looks like an entrance but dead ends. There is no road where the Rodeway sign sits. The door hinges need lubricant and made noises when I went in and out.
My fiancé is in the navy and we stayed for Fourth of July weekend. We had previously stayed across the street at the quality inn, and we liked it there even though it wasn't the greatest it was a bang for our buck. We figured this would be the same. VERY WRONG. We waited at the front desk for 10 mins before someone noticed we were there and came out to greet us. No big deal though. They gave us our room key and we specifically asked for a NON smoking room. We walk in and the stench is overwhelming of cigarettes and mildew. It was absolutely horrible. I immediately closed the door and retreated to the front desk and asked for a new room. They were nice about it and found us a SEMI better one. This one was still reaking of mildew or something, I don't know what the stench was but in this room at least it wasn't cigarettes. The room was large, and and the bathroom was mostly clean. But the room otherwise was horrible. There wasn't any decorations so it felt like a jail cell in there. No pictures, just this bland paint. It was eary how empty it felt. The bed was extremely uncomfortable an it smelled like the sheets hadn't been washed. The walls of this place were so paper thin and the people above us were extremely loud slamming doors and walking around at 3am. We got through the stay fine, but overall it was terrible and I'd never stay again. Go across the street to the quality inn. Much better.
Desk clerk Zak and another two guys were very helpful.
Being locked out in the middle of the night by Tasha who was the night desk clerk because they made a mistake when I checked in.
For the cost, very clean and comfortable. I've stayed at numerous inexpensive places in Groton. This bar far was the cleanest for the $50 range.
The roon was clean.
Cigarette burns in the blanket (rm 114). The refrigerator was plugged into the microwave(?) and wasn't cold at all.
