Pleasant staff member
Noisy air conditioner, stale room smell, no coffee before 7.30AM....... hard to find in the dark.
Price, location, and staff
Everything was run down. Restaurant was closed.
Getting run down - old carpeting, room seemed dingy.
wifi poor to useless picked because of onsite restaurant but was closed 9 months ago
Location was convenient.
Price was too high for quality of room. Continental breakfast was disappointing and limited in selection and variety.
The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. The hotel is tucked away off the main road which made for a surprisingly quiet, good night's sleep. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. The rooms appear to be all non-smoking with no odors of past smokers. If you're passing through for a night, it's a relatively cheap and quiet place to stay. Don't expect anything fancy.
The rooms have definitely seen better days, and the cleaning staff obviously doesn't do a very careful job (i.e. there was an abandoned sock under the tv stand). The water smells of sulfur.
Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, cracked tiles on floor, caulking needs to be replaced, room had a moldy smell to it, bed was hard. The garbage wasn't emptied as we stayed 2 nights and they never gave us new plastic cup that we had used. I think they made the bed and that was it. Also in bathroom they put up a curved shower curtain and you could hardly get in, a heavy person would have a hard time getting in or out. Never used the breakfast.
The quiet, the ground floor, the surroundings
the kinda skimpy breakfast, lack of newspapers
The water from the faucets and shower smelled funky and the hotel room had the scent of too much Carpet Fresh. That always makes one suspicious.
location, unreachable staff, meager comp. breakfast, locks that were taped so as not to function, lack of feeling secure.
Overpriced for what it offers. Rooms are minmally acceptable. Breakfast selections are terrible.
Office closed at midnight-- I didn't know and nearly missed checking in. Room itself was among the worst I have ever stayed in. It is cheap but should be cheaper in view of what you get.
The price was decent and we were close to downtown Kingston.
The room had kind of a funk smell and the bathroom was a bit in disrepair (only the remnants of a towel rack, busted tile). It was loud throughout the night, but that might have been more about the other guests than the hotel. The breakfast was sad; fresh fruit would help.
The people behind the desk were nice and allowed us to store some perishables in their refrigerator since the one in our room didn't work.
Holes in blanket, both refrigerator and hair dryer didn't work. Sparce. Breakfast was included but what was offered was only soft white bread, two cereals and sweets. Nothing one would remotely consider healthy like fruit or even just a banana. We went someplace to eat. Their used to be a popular restaurant attached to this motel but this has closed so the whole place looked sad.
Close to town.
No real breakfast. No service at all. Wi-Fi that works about 10% of the time.
misrepresented amenity of pool
Large room with plenty of space. Very clean. Pretty mountainside location. Staff was very nice.
Though very clean, the tub could have used a facelift or replacing.
Pool was closed down by Health Department….Steakhouse Restaurant also closed down and deserted….hotel definitely not "kept up", the grounds needed tending, the rooms had a musty smell and looked very beat up and worn. Very disappointed with the stay there.
staff were courteous and accomodating
room a/c blows and the fan in bathroom kills it. Should be separated from the light switch (bathroom) beds are uncomfortable and tub again was filthy, bathroom not cleaned properly.
I liked that it was set back off the highway and it was a very country setting. We were looking forward to the pool.
I didn't like that the pool was closed and the reasons it was closed....... and I thought for the money the rooms were very shabby. I would NOT book a room again there.
Staff was very courteous. Held a forgotten item until we could return.
Property in serious need of renovations. Cannot compete with other budget chains.
