The price was decent and we were close to downtown Kingston.
The room had kind of a funk smell and the bathroom was a bit in disrepair (only the remnants of a towel rack, busted tile). It was loud throughout the night, but that might have been more about the other guests than the hotel. The breakfast was sad; fresh fruit would help.
Close to town.
No real breakfast. No service at all. Wi-Fi that works about 10% of the time.
misrepresented amenity of pool
Large room with plenty of space. Very clean. Pretty mountainside location. Staff was very nice.
Though very clean, the tub could have used a facelift or replacing.
Pool was closed down by Health Department….Steakhouse Restaurant also closed down and deserted….hotel definitely not "kept up", the grounds needed tending, the rooms had a musty smell and looked very beat up and worn. Very disappointed with the stay there.
staff were courteous and accomodating
room a/c blows and the fan in bathroom kills it. Should be separated from the light switch (bathroom) beds are uncomfortable and tub again was filthy, bathroom not cleaned properly.
I liked that it was set back off the highway and it was a very country setting. We were looking forward to the pool.
I didn't like that the pool was closed and the reasons it was closed....... and I thought for the money the rooms were very shabby. I would NOT book a room again there.
Staff was very courteous. Held a forgotten item until we could return.
Property in serious need of renovations. Cannot compete with other budget chains.
Staff At Front Desk Polite & Friendly
Whole Inn Needed Updating Bathroom Was Moldy Bed & Bedding Old & Worn - Pillows Were Flat Breakfast Was Fair - Only Dry Cereal & Muffins
Unpleasant beginning made it difficult to think anything positive about this .
At check in there was woman in tears wanting to change rooms because of filthy bathroom I said I did not want her old room and the fun began. After saying they were sold out (they weren't) I got a clean room. Pool was filled and looked inviting, but was closed the whole time. Restaurant on premises had been closed for a long time. hair dryer was broken and other minor things,.breakfast had watered orange juice and an unopened loaf of wonderbread (that was rather funny since we did not plan on eating there. Had to really be assertive to get a receipt. Man said my charge card had the record.
Impressed with the comfort of the bed, the scenery, and the facilities.
Carpet was stained
it was nice and quiet.
the room smelled old and stale.
The space was nice and comfortable enough. I expected it to be much less so. The pool area looked really nice but we didn't get to use it.
The bedspreads were old-fashioned and scratchy.
Air worked great , room was very comfortable
Wifi didn't work in our first room but staff moved us closer this fixed the problem
Location and price
Loud AC Fan Leaking toilet Water has a strange Fragrence!
Quiet. Pleasant grounds and staff. Responsive to requests.
Ants. Smoke. Tub.
room was fairly clean check-in was pleasant
next door restaurant was closed door didn't fully close or lock outlet melted my phone charger noisy with people coming and going late
The shower worked. The car is able to pull right up to the room.
Everything! I have never been to a worse place for over night accommodations and I travel a lot. The beds were bad, pillows bad. Bugs, electric cord sockets that didn't hold cords properly. The floor was crooked and rug dirty. There was hair on the bathroom floor and tub. The toliet seat didn't stay up for the guy in my party. Yuk! The place needed a paint job and a complete renovation of the room. The smell was not good. You get the idea. I couldn't wait to leave. I would never stay at another Rodeway inn again. They don't apparently have standards. It also cost close to $100. For 2 people with AAA. What a ripe. I kept telling myself it was better than camping outside!
Great location- away from the highway but not so far that it is tough to find. The front desk staff were very friendly, efficient, and helpful. The wi-fi was convenient as was the in-room mini fridge and microwave. Having a table for food and another for work in such a small room was also a bonus.
The cleanliness of the room was not that great. By the standards of a cheap hotel in Bombay, I'm sure it was spotless; by the standards of an American motel I am paying $75 for, it was kind of nasty. Other people's hair on the shower stall wall; organic residues on the toilet seat; layer of grime on the shelf above the coat hangers; nasty hand smudges on the door handle areas, the phone, and the television. Let's just say I kept my slippers on the whole time I was there.
Liked the helpful and courtious staff, location, and the accommodations for the price is just great. Complimentary breakfast was skimpy, but we weren't interested in much more than the orange juice anyway. wish they had healthier stuff rather than sugary pastries.
True, the place is a little run down and clearly they're working on remodels, but the noise was a little bothersome one out of the four nights we were there. Otherwise, we thought it was convenient, clean, and comfortable, and an excellent value.
The location was good it was quiet. I was thee in the cold weather but I'm sure it is a beautiful spot in the summer.
The TV was like going back to the 50-60's when there was more snow than picture.
-the t.v. didnt work -the room was filthy -the breakfast wasn't anything but rolls and muffins. -horrible customer service -deff would not go again.
Location near main road nice setting
Could not regulate heat and very noicey heatting window unit. Breakfast could have been better.
Stayed two nights, left to go out for second day and room wasn't cleaned. Blow dryer didn't work notified desk and they didn't even change rm or give us another blow dryer. So being very cold my wife had wet hair to leave with and got a cold. Very unprofessional. Bathroom was filthy. Vent in ceiling bathroom was broke made a loud humming noise very irritating. Again, staff should have changed the rm for us as we were staying two nights. After telling the desk clerk all he said was oh ok well I make mention to mgr. Never took time to help make the second day, night a more pleasant experience.
