staff are very friendly and helpful. Hope the breakfast hours can be more flexible in case customers have an early flight.
cleanliness of the restroom
The bed was very comfy with all white, clean covers. They let me check in early. Free coffee and bagels for breakfast. Across the street from CBS.
The lights in the room were all fluorescent. There was a lot of noise from some machines outside. Don't know if a permanent thing.
Great location nice room great outside eating area...
Great location for exploring Fairfax district. Silent while in a cozy neighborhood. You don't have to park on the street.
Location is the value of this hotel
Very old hotel, part of equipment in the room didn't work at ariving. They fix it after i asked.
It was close to everything we wanted. Hollywood, downtown etc. The lady at reception in the mornings was wonderful & friendly. Whenever we needed directions she wrote down how to get there and what bus to catch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would definately stay there again!
I loved everything there. Staff was very friendly. The room was compact and clean. New towels every day. Breakfast was very good. Silence everywhere.
The silence in the rooms
sauberkeit to cerpets in the corridors
Depending on your booking, mine included brekky, don't expect to have a great selection, but if you want to go around and explore the city and are not fussed about brekky, then you will like it. it's more of a grab and go kind of brekky, toast, juice, cereal, prepacked pastries, coffee, tea and yogurth. Nice little courtyard to have your speedy brekky. Quiet location and very close to most things, CBS and the Grove are a short walk away, Beverly Centre is only about 5mins drive, straight through Beverly Blvd. Staff are friendly and willing to help. Value for money, is nothing flashy, but a clean bed and bathroom, winning!
The entrance to the undercover parking is a bit tight, however not imposible with a bit of patience.
The room was nice and modern.
The lights and plumbing made a lot of noise. The halway looked more like an indoor storage facility than a hotel. There was noindoor place to eat the limited breakfast. Normaly not a problem in L.A. but it was raining when we were there.
Really nice place for 1-2 days stay. Close to Hollywood and Observatory, and over places of interest in the north part of the city. Friendly stuff, surprisingly eatable breakfast. Wifi,;car parking
We stayed in winter, so the condition wasn't really necessary, but I found the condition device made really loud noise
I liked that you actually had my room ready to go, a few times in the past I have "lost" a reservation at this location. The parking is the number one reason to stay in this location and it was perfect.
The coffee machine in my room did not work. WHen I wake up I need my coffee and I don't want to go downstairs to get it, sorry if I sound spoiled but I paid for that feature specifically and your machine did not work in my room. I requested a new machine and all they did was come in and move the machine to the desk area where another working outlet allowed it to work. What I wanted was a new and properly working machine. Your staff did the bare minimum to attempt a solution. Next time, bring me a damn coffee machine and do it right away. Coffee is a moment, not just some ritual performed. It matters to me that I can sit up, press a button and start reading the news. Secondly, the cable service in your room did not work, we actually had to change rooms to find out that the cable didn't work in that room either. For a hundred bucks a night you need to make sure I can watch as much cable TV as I want to. I was in town for a funeral and could have used the distraction. THis might very well be the WORST stay I ever had in the 20 or so times I've stayed at the old Holywood Guesthouse Inn(the old name of this hotel) Please offer me a rebate on my room fees, I would like to be able to come back and give you another chance but you really need to discount my room.
Position near Hollywood Blv. Quite clean.
Room was very narrow while the bathroom was ok. Carpet in common space are quite old and it seems they are not so clean. The breakfast was very poor and THERE WAS NO PLACE to sit down for eating. The food was served in the lobby and there were two tables to sit down only in an internal patio. In the winter, in the morning, the patio is very cold and it is not possible to eat relaxed.
The location was great...easy walking to The Grove and Farmer's Market, and a delightful residential neighborhood to walk in behind the motel. My room was clean, with comfortable bed. Nice TV. Parking and wifi available. Friendly and responsive staff. Breakfast bar was well stocked.A water cooler in the office saved daily purchases of bottled water. Will definitely stay again.
Nothing that would be a deal-breaker. When I book again will ask for a room with a closet. Operating the TV was confusing...I had to ask. The wifi was spotty. Parking in the garage was definitely for medium sized and smaller cars. I was lucky to have another driver show me, early on, how to more easily exit. Nothing that would prevent me from booking again.
The room was clean, a small breakfast was included, quite easy to access.
"Free parking" but there is only about 10 parking spaces for the whole hotel. So, first come, first served! Fortunately, there are some space in the street without parking limitations.
Breakfast was VERY basic.
Staff were friendly and helpful, location worked well, especially being close to the Farmers Market and The Grove.
Hotel is quited dated and worn, and breakfast was pretty basic, but I guess you expect that from a budget hotel.
Very decent breakfast for the money (toasts, muffins, self-made waffles, cereal etc.), good location if you are willing to take the Metro bus (and if you do I would recommend that you get the TAP week pass). Confortable room with mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Best budge-friendly hotel that I've ever stayed!
You need to take the food at the front desk and have breakfast inside your room. The side door was permanetly open and anyone from the street can access the room aisle. There is video surveillance though.
