The place was dirty and the bed was very uncomfortable. The motel seemed run down
We stayed in the L motel for one night during our visit to the Grand Canyon. Staff was great, very friendly, even upgraded us to a larger room without having to pay extra. Continental breakfast was good, coffee, orange juice, apple juice, bagels, muffins, two kinds of bread and chocolate donuts. Overall enough room for two, great staff, good for one or two nights stay, nothing to complain about!
All good, price quality was perfect!
The location and staff were excellent. The bed was comfortable and I liked that the room had a microwave and refrigerator.
The room needed some TLC. Paint peeling off the wall, some plaster needed to be redone in the bathroom and some of the electrical outlets looked a bit scary.
-walking distance to downtown -Fine place to rest your head for one night -Cheap
-No free breakfast was available, after inquiring we managed to get a little bit of coffee but no more. Not like I expect breakfast in this price range but then don't advertise it! -Extremely noisy neighbours and lots of people coming to their room to visit, TV was blaring, noone did anything about this -Right on the road; noisy -Staff could be friendlier, & there was noone there at checkout which felt a bit odd
We just wanted a cheap place to sleep. The price was great. Located next to downtown and next door to natural foods market. Fridge a microwave came in handy. A step up from motel six and a step down in price.
the free breakfast most American's would like yet it was devoid of nutrients and would probably survive until the next ice age if left unconsumed and the shower didn't drain but the tile work was a step in the right direction.
Price. Nice, big wall mounted television. They have obviously been doing some remodeling which is good. Free bagels or donuts for breakfast. Free wi-fi worked well. All rooms non-smoking. Chairs and ashtrays provided outside for smokers.
Absolutely no parking for large vehicles, RVs or trailers. Shower still needs some work. Shower head is new and pressure is good. No place to sit and work on computer. No coffee.
Very friendly staff. Fairly fast WiFi. Coffee maker and fridge in the room.
Looks old. Not clean enough. Bad smell in the room.
The location was great, the room was great considering the price, the water was hot and the bed was comfortable!
The heater was on the weak side and the television didn't work with the play station, but those are both minor things.
Excellent Place to stay in town
I booked this based on the other reviews, however there is no way this should be rated a 7 out of 10. Small room and extremely tiny bathroom were very inconvenient. other issues included outdated furnishings and heating, peeling paint and mildew in tub.
Uncomfortable mattress. I awoke with a BAD backache.
Nice staff, comfortable bed, very clean room, good location (although by the main room, the noise is minimum, walking distance from downtown and far from the rail track)
Breakfast is not great (but not bad either), heating system is old (works well, but little bit noisy)
The manager was really friendly and helpful. Hotel is walking distance to town and many of its breweries. Great value for money.
It was cold on the night we arrived, not much of heating in the room, but extra blanket fixed the problem
Location was good. Staff very helpful. Very good to sleep one night. Parking was good.
Motel is old, renovated, but not so good looking.
- very friendly helpfull owner/staff - good shower and bed - big flatscreen TV - small breakfast included
- room is in need of some work, but we didn't mind because of the price of the room
The room was a huge surprise when seeing for first time. The outside of motel is very deceiving. My first impression was great now I have to stay in a dive motel. Outside isn't bad just original, old building. My experience is place like that is going to be far less than "its ok" more like a dump. The room was perfect. Custom paint, decorated very well. Flat screen tv, microwave etc. bed had very nice comforter, small loveseat. Everything was really great. Staff very pleasant. Help full. Filled with nice guests. Way better than motel 6, super 8, travel lodge, budget suites, etc. it really felt homely and relaxing. Stay there again? Yes definitely.
The only thing that I found I didn't like was the free continental breakfast. I know can't expect a 3 course meal. What I didn't expect was packages of little doughnuts, honey buns, toast, a bottle of fake orange juice, and coffee with powdered creamer. To me breakfast is mandatory for a good day to begin. Lame breakfast. Rooms not expensive, yet place completely filled with guests, so providing a somewhat better breakfast wouldn't break the bank. Very disappointing.
No locks on the windows...they easily slide open from outside and back window faces sketchy neighborhood. Trashy furniture and shower.
an amazing reception area, very good location easy to walk right downtown. He's really trying to fix the place upbut, he's got a lot of work to do yet though. I would recommend it for an overnight stay!!
I walked in the door and almost fell about six inches before my feet hit the floor. The door didn't lock very well and there's a few other issues with the hotel, but I could see he is really working at getting it fixed up.
Fully equipped room, very friendly staff, great value for the money. Located right on the legendary Route 66.
Little used up and elderly, but more than OK for the money.
very nice staff simple breakfast
no phone had bites the next day (not sure what from)
We booked here so we could do the Grand Canyon. The motel is easy to find and there was free parking. The room was clean, spacious and had a fantastic heater which was good as it got down to almost freezing overnight. The bed was comfortable and there was a flat screen TV in the room. A good choice if you are on a budget.
WiFi signal was weak in our room so had to sit outside to use the internet. Room curtains were a bit thin so let a fair bit of light into the room.
Kumar was the sweetest man. I was homeless at the time of my stay, and I suffer from severe anxiety/panic attack disorder with agorophoia and he made sure I felt safe while I was there. He truly was a sweet, good man.
The construction workers (who I have good reason to believe were somehow connected to a Mexican cartel/selling drugs) who were staying near me.
The manager was nice
Window screen broken, bathroom door broken, bathtub shower in need of repair, ceiling fans covered in dust over beds, TV remote on/off button missing, old bed mattress, no breakfast, was supposed to be a Roadeway Inn with 2nd floor only one floor, pictures on website completely touched up or from another hotel, very few towels, building should be torn down and rebuilt, owners are surely not putting any money into motel, was afraid to sleep in bed, will drive by any of these L Motels. Save your money go anywhere else
Super friendly staff, breakfast was good (for US standards: pastries, bagels, jam and cream cheese, juices, coffee). Perfectly fine for a night or two, price has been unbeatable during our road trip through the US, Parking available in front of everyone's personal door
It wasn't super clean, but alright.
clean comfortable bed shower worked well
wi-fi was a bad joke - so slow I gave up waiting for pages to open paper-thin walls brought the immediate neighbors and all the traffic noise into the room no channel guide for the tv freezer door (in fridge) was broken
