Location was great, hotel staff helpful, rooms extremely comfortable and well appointed. The exercise facility was good. A welcoming place.
Welcoming atmosphere, helpful friendly staff, very comfortable beds with nice linens, super hot shower, attractive room with windows that open. Nice quiet neighborhood easy enough walk from Grand Central, and Penn Station.
wished there was complimentary coffee.
View was amazing from penthouse room 5. Staff always helpful and friendly
- renovated rooms - quirky front-desk staff. they are polite in their own weird way - location. Nomad, No Doubt. - modern
- thin walls (you can hear your neighbors talking) - two (very small) elevators are frustrating. one had mechanical problems during our stay - quirky front-desk staff. they are polite in their own weird way - showers don't have door/curtain so the bathroom floor becomes a mess
Rooms are too dark and service is slow due to small elevators
Location - STAFF - NYC Friendly willing to share ideas about their city Accomodation ample ! We will always stay here !
Nice appontments in room. Very helpful staff. Near Morgan Library and Museum.
My husband thought the bathroom was a little too small. I thought it was fine.
Elevators are slow
Helpful staff Design Spacious rooms Lobby area
We could hear the TV from the room next to us but nothing too major
- my booking.com booking didn't exist in their system and I was only lucky they had availability that afternoon otherwise I would been in trouble finding an alternative place. - I booked a premium large room with 2x double beds and the room was so tiny that we barely walked inside it..that was disappointing given the price paid for it!
Good location, easy to catch a cab
Bathroom is extremely small but that was minor in relation to the service. The air did not work very well the entire weekend. The resolution was to provide 2 fans. I was told they held another room but gave it away when we didn't return to the hotel at a certain time. No one attempted to inform me of this other room and the need for us to return to the hotel by a certain time.
Very pretty Midtown hotel, nicely designed, young and cosy lobby with nice music and afternoon drinks. Well situated; one block away from metro (green line) and Empire State Bldg, many breakfast /lunch places around, free internet in room. Staff very well trained and helpful. Advisable for short stays and couples especially. We loved the hotel and would stayed there again if the price is acceptable.
Sink was too small. 25 $/day hotel charge beside the room price. Room was a bit small for 2 adults + 1 child (There were 2 beds 140 cm wide)
Excellent staff, excellent location
AC in room was quite loud
The bed was comfortable, the staff was friendly and the happy hour a lovely surprise.
A bit longer walk to the subway N. R lines than I expected - but not a big issue
spacious rooms lots of outlets wifi
air conditioner was not functioning properly. did not get cool enough to sleep well.
Attentive staff Free wine happy hour Amazing comfortable bed Excellent breakfast
I stay at The Roger a few times a year and it never disappoints. The staff members are exceptional and the rooms are beautiful.
Loved the lobby and lounge! Great location, easy to get cabs or walk to Penn Station.
Got a great deal on the room, but it was a bit small, and not as nice as pics posted on website. Should not complain, I have paid 3 times as much for other hotels in NYC!
Location Good wine Friendly
The decoration and friendliness of staff
I should have known that the room booked was interior
Some of the staff are very helpful at the reception - sadly not all of them. The cleanning staff were very nice & helpful. A young man was extremely nice and helpful at serving breakfast when it was so difficult to find a table for a guest as Roger hotel has a very small area for breakfast. The door men are particularly nice & helpful.
The Roger hotel bill is very strange. There are about 5 differnet extra charges apart from my room charge. There is even an admistration fee ($24.00) everyday, which I have never had with any other hotels in Manhattan. The lift is very slow (only 2 small lifts). It takes ages to go up or down.
To be fair - the Roger was not a horrible hotel- just ok. The doorman and staff were nice and somewhat helpful. It was a little run down.
The room was small and bed quite small for two people. Seemed smaller than standard full size bed. The bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen. The sink was extremely small. There was about an inch gap at the top of our door to the hallway - which made it quite noisey when someone was in the hallway. Just didn't seem like what you would consider a boutique hotel.
It was a great location. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was good but a bit pricey so go hungry. It was clean and had nice decor. We will stay again the next time we visit NYC.
The lighting in the room was poor.
People are nice
Elevator is slow 2 reach
Location , style, size, design, not a huge overrun hotel
Perfume smell in rooms was a little overbearing on arrival
