Great location, amenities, staff, and room
Thin walls - could hear my neighbors TV
We always enjoy the stay at The Roger. Service is great, great bed and room space is amazing. They have a great bar to end you evening at and it is the perfect location.
Great ambiance and WONDERFUL complimentary breakfast.
Only one bathrobe for 2 guests. Cable TV died after viewing for one hour. it was too late to call for service.
Hospitality ++++ All amenities were excellent!
Whether you have a smaller room or a larger room, they are all very comfortable. The corner rooms are the best, but all are super clean and well appointed. I love the bathrooms. We always like the bar in the lobby.
Fantastic deal for NYC. Excellent service and good location. Casual sophistication. Great overall experience!
Just wish it had more for the kids like a pool.
Bed and bedding were very comfortable. Very nice staff and very clean. Good location.
Bit of confusion at the front desk when checking in, but everything was resolved in a timely manner.
The comfortable bed and clean room
warm gray decor, boutique feel, very clean & comfortable
The location is very good. The hotel was in very good conditions, rooms clean and spacious. The mezzanine restaurant is pleasant.
The rooms are too dark. Some extra lights would be welcome. Very limited help to open the entrance door which is very heavy or to bring luggage in. The breakfast is way too expensive for what is being offered. But the breakfast staff is very courteous and pleasant.
The first impression of the roger is the location, which is very central. Then the staff, who were very attentive and friendly. The decor is lovely. The rooms are nice and spacious for manhatten. I would definitely stay again.
Breakfast is quite expensive
The location, the decor, the cleanliness.
The WiFi was inexcusably slow for a hotel that largely caters to people in the international and business communities.
Very good hotel, clean and good looking. The staff is professional, friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi is included in the rooms, which are well furnished, silent and with comfortable matresses. Bathroom is quite big and offers all possible goods for a nice stay. Overall i am very satisfied.
It's not super convenient, but quality has its price.
Nice hotel, excellent location, superb decoration and refurbished entry / reception area, big rooms nicely decorated.
The lack of follow-up when we unexpectedly had to stay 2 more nights due to canceled flight (snowstorm announced in Manhattan). They simply doubled the price of the room, although it was promised to keep the same conditions. After 6 weeks of negociating (and having to "beg" for a reply to the different e-mails), not even a minor refund was offered.
I liked their breakfast, but I did not like how expensive it was. I liked their beds.
Staff was relatively average, somewhat rude. WIFI was terrible. I called the IT people 4 times and they never fixed it.
Overall charming place. We were only there for a very short stay so we could bare with the issues. (See "what didn't you like" comments)
Missing in-room coffee machine. We could here people speaking in next room. No bathroom fan, room gets pretty hot after showers.
The hotel charged my visa upon reservation and asked for payment again during my stay, charging my Amex. This is unacceptable and shows bad management. Also there were no adaptors at the reception and the staff was not very much willing to assist recharging my mobile, which should have been something simple to sort out. I found the room very small too, there was little space for my luggage.
Location! We are @ 200 lex and you're very close.
ELEVators!!! The staff tie up 1 of 2 and waits can be uncomfortable if in Hurry.
Terrace Location Cleanliness
The staff was great. Very amiable and helpful. And the midtown location was very convenient. Would definitely stay again.
The size of the room wasn't quite what I thought it would be considering the ritzy look of the hotel. However it was still a comfortae amount of space.
I liked the size, location and decor.
Our room was extremely small and the bathroom barely fit one person. We had a half of a sink and not enough towels for 4 people. Bed frame was poorly designed.
We booked 2 Deluxe Rooms with extra large beds for 1 night. We got only one king size room and the other was a queen size bed. When we checked out, I was asked my credit card before seeing the detailed bill, but the amount seemed much more than expected. They explained the difference was the tax but looking closer at the bill, they charged per default 26$ administration fee / room (for WIFI for example we didn't use)! Fortunately they refunded the administration fee.
Room is spacious
Guest service wasn't helpful, I asked for a kettle to make tea and she said it was too late and if she finds one she will bring it but never contacted me.
- Rooms were clean - Bathrooms are nice - CO Bigelow products - Doormen are friendly - Lounge area is welcoming and comfortable - Wine hour on weekdays from 5 - 6PM
loved the view, the staff our room!!
the charges added when we ordered room service that were not listed in the booklets!
