There is a construction site next door. On the first night we were on the 15th floor in one of the rooms facing the construction site on two sides. The noise in the morning was unbearable after 7am due to jack hammering of concrete for the demolition of the adjacent building on 31st street. To the hotel's credit, we asked to change rooms and were moved to a room on the Madison Avenue side with single front to the ave on the 11th floor. Noise problem solved, very quiet actually. Rooms are a bit small, but this is fairly typical of NYC. Mini bar prices were high, so if you plan on using the mini bar, be prepared to shell out some coin.
Location was great, close to everything, metro a couple of blocks away. Service was very good, staff very friendly and accommodating. Would stay again and recommend to others. Breakfast is quite good.
