Great atmosphere, stylish and comfortable. Big room and very friendly staff - especially the doorman and reception desk. We'll be back.
Tacking on a "admin charge" felt a bit like hidden price hike. Even if it was listed on booking.com next to taxes, it doesn't fit with the overall professional atmosphere of the Roger. Just raise the price if you want to - don't nickel and dime the customer!
The rooms were beautiful! We stayed in a penthouse suite and the room was plenty big enough and had a terrace!!! Great food, amazing staff and i have my new favorite place to stay!
Location is good and room is modern and clean.
Heating was not working and no hot water due to boiler problem. Also fire alarm bell was ringing at 5am for about 20mins by mistake but no apology....
staff were excellent, clean room, big bed.
other guests were partying. .
Staff was excellent, friendly and courteous
The room was NYC small
The service. The front desk folks were so polite and pleasant. The doorman stood in the rain to get us a cab. The rooms are itty bitty but comfy.
Water is $6 a bottle - really? Bruised shins from bumping into the bed corners. Seriously though, it's a cool little place and the ambiance was very nice.
It was a too short and busy stay that we had no time to find out their facility and the lounge/bar looked very nice. it was too bad - we wanted to have some drinks and relax..however, the staffs were very friendly and helpful. They are available. The decor was chic modern.
This hotel is in the perfect location easily accessible to all bouroughs. It's in a very nice neighborhood near Chelsea and within walking distance to the Empire State Building. The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable and they have a little bar in the lobby that opens in the evening and a small restaurant (that I didn't eat at) on the mezzanine.
Nothing. I would stay here again.
friendly staff helpful and hospitable
Location good but now having visited would prefer to stay elsewhere
what are the resort fees for? I cannot understand what you get for this extra money. Small room. Miniscule bathroom Why only one robe? No slippers. No turn down service and no maid attended room after the morning visit Room not catered for two!!!!! Only one side cabinet. The other has to put glass on floor. Even the reception staff agreed it was poor design. totally unacceptable. No coffee/tea facilities. Ridiculous amount of money for water. Why is this not complimentary in such a so called high class restaurant? Air conditioning loud loud loud and controlled centrally after 7! Boiling hot! Staff very misguided in information giving. Sprang into action however when leaving. ?????makes you wonder whether there is a motive. No one had been so enthusiastic during our entire stay. When reported to reception staff to discuss disappointment about room I was simply told that they recognised the design of the rooms are bad. - Not really the quality of hotel that I am used to. Way way over priced for what you get for your money!!!!
Food, I order Cesar Salad with Grilled shrimps,,
Location - near everything, but not in the middle of everything. Perfect! Staff - couldn't have been more helpful. Happy hour - free wine after work! Bed - like sleeping on a cloud. Room service - delicious, quick and not crazy expensive.
Overall, there is nothing NOT to like. But, if I had to split hairs: - TV channel selection isn't vast. - Room 7 on each floor has a TINY bathroom.
Penthouses are great for the view but a little small. Space in NYC is at a premium in general but for a penthouse I did expect some more floor space inside. Terraces on corners are bigger. Great views of ESB. Service was good and staff were friendly for the most part. Would stay again. Terrace a must!
Small pokey bathrooms. Bad use of space. Sink way too small and toilet placement awkward. Tops of wardrobes extremely dusty as was the TV. Pillows are extremely poor and there weren't enough of them. Bar extremely small too
Air not great in room
Great staff, very good location, very clean...
No negative points found in two days.
The location was good, the rooms were very nicely decorated, the atmosphere of the hotel
We could hear everything the neighbors were saying. I can tell you exactly what the conversation was.
Staff were excellent. Happy Hour was very pleasant.
Breakfast was very expensive and not very good
The Roger is a nice enough tourist class hotel but falls short of being a cool New York boutique hotel. The small lobby is noisy and bustling with tourists at all hours. The room was nice, with a balcony and a good bed.
- Slowest elevators in the world. - Toilet was bolted down properly. - three failed attempts to get water hot enough for a bath.
Super clean room, nice quiet location.
Beautifully Appointed. Lots of excellent detail. Flawless Customer Service.
The corners of the bed frame are hard to see with subdued lighting. Watch your "shins".
Upgraded room with balcony and view of Empire State Building
Lack of coffee maker in room
The room is too small, also the bathroom hardly to stand two people
Staff was very helpful and kind; location was very close to public transportation so you can move around fast. Great location and value for money! Definately stay there on my next trip :)
Room was very hot. Thermostat did not work.
