Spacious room (for NY) with large comfy bed. Great location, found it very easy to walk around midtown for the main sights. Friendly staff who offered good advice when asked.
Breakfast (not included in our room rate) was incredibly expensive so would advise to get inclusive room rate or go to Starbucks up the road! Please provide 2 of each size towel when 2 people are in a room. Please provide better hotel information such as what time check out is, what time breakfast finishes etc (in room or at check in), shouldn't need to ask for this!
Really lovely hotel and very friendly staff
I needed a kettle and one was not provided, I was told of the kettles in the hotel, all were being usedby other guests, I find that unacceptable. I also felt there was very little cupboard space and no shelf or counter space in the bathroom.
Great nhotel and location gives easy access to lotsmofn sareas and attractions. We love the wine hour, have done this in other hotels and it was just one of the reasons we booked. Staff co9uldn't have been nicer and so helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay again.
We would have liked a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities - these should have been basics but weren't there, come on the Roger - you did so much else right!
The concierge was great!
That everything in the room had a price tag on it.
The room was great and perfect for New york but most of all the bed was so comfortable. The location was great for moving easily between uptown and downtown Manhattan
That we had to leave
Interior is simple and clean.
The heating system. The hotel limited the temperature at 72F which was not warm enough. The heating unit has a fan with the choice of either "auto" or "on." The fan goes on with strong and noisy blow which was too drying without warming. Also, the hotel's "administration fee" of $28 per night should be included in the room rate quote. Booking.com should not help them making the rates appear lower on the website than actually are.
The bed was really comfortable and the location is really good.
The room was really cold and they just told us that it is was because of the location of the room.... The towel was dirty, really dirty and the response of the girl in charge of changing the towels was that she hasnt time to check every towel in the hotel. They have charged me a deposit that I didnt authorized, be careful and ask them before you go!!
The Roger is a very comfortable and clean hotel with helpful and friendly staff. It beds were amazing and one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in, great after a day of walking! It's in a great location close to lots of tourist sights and also eateries. To top it off, WiFi was fast and free!
Noise insulation between rooms could be improved.
Joe, the doorman was overly helpful and the children loved him.
Charged extra for the wifi and wine.
The Roger is cosy abd nicely located. However walls are thin and noise insulation is very poor. You wish you have quite neighbors, otherwise it can be tough to sleep. Rooms are buggerr than usual double rooms in NYC. Matresses are somewhat comfy but not great comfy.
Great value for the money! Great location and my room was really quiet. Loved the lobby and complementary ice tea there!
my room was a bit too small but i think that particular room was small. Stayed at 03 line.
A bit noisy either from street noise, or from room to room.
You are charged a 'gym' fee for I reason. Non-negotiable
Friendly staff who were always able and willing to help out with my questions about travelling around the city. I stayed at a large business hotel a few days earlier, but the room at The Roger was better equipped. Very impressed.
Location! Food! Friendliness of staff! Room size and comfortable bed. The bathroom looks fresh and clean with nice tiled walls, Toto toilet and fluffy towels. Very quiet too.
The drab carpet in the bedroom and even worse the horribly ugly filthy carpet in the hallways! If they want to be a boutique hotel at the level of places like the Marlton or The Bowery they need to replace this stuff asap!
I loved the location of the hotel, it's in a beautiful understated forgotten NYC neighborhood. Close to everything within walking distance and easy access to everything else by metro.
the lighting was very dim all throughout the day.
Location, price value.
Breakfast expensive and just until 10 am
We were upgraded upon check in.
Elevators were a little delayed.
Due to problems with my visa was unable to leave lima airport I was unable to get to the Roger that day. United airlines were very helpful, roger not but tuck my money. Thanks!!
the staff, the location, the breakfast, the complimentary cocktail hour the bed - highly recommended!!
that i paud an admin fee for the wifi' the room is far too dark they ran out of croissants at 9am!!
Good location, nice people, great breakfast.
Need to open widow to keep the temperature down.
The hotel was very nice and clean looking and the bed was extremely comfortable. For personal reasons I had to leave one day earlier and the staff was very helpful and let me know how to take this forward. I ended up not having to pay extra.
Small bathroom and no view
Location was great... Staff friendly & helpful... Hotel was really clean & comfortable... Loved our stay
I had a lovely stay...
… there was an unexpected extra fee of $25 for all the things that are usually included, and that was very irritating; it should have been added to the price instead of 'hidden' as an additional charge. Apparently it was noted by Booking.com in the terms, but I didn't catch it.
