눉We made a couple of suggestions that we know were relayed to the general mamnager.
The only curtains were heavy duty for ensuring no light penetrated. That meant that when we were in the room during daylight hours: the only way of obtaining any privicy from the offices right across the road from us was to draw the curtains and turn the lights on. This was a shame when the weather was so good.
There was not one single drawer in the room. Being there for over a week; we had lots of bits and pieces with us. Leaving ANYTHING on any of the surfaces meant that the cleaner missed them out.
We also found that if we did not tip the cleaner daily; the coffee was not properly replenished.
There were not any public spaces beyond the small lift/reception area. We had intended to entertsin friends at the hotel, but that was not really possible.
The seats in the reception area were there for style, certainly not for comfort. They were so deep that if you sat back in them; your legs would be straiught out in front of you.
In the middle of a refurbishment; it seems to me that a number of my niggles are caused by a designer who is thinking of the look of the place above the comfort or convenience of the customers.
눇The room was large and newly decorated, the bathroom excellent and there was always lots of hot water.
The hotel was in the middle of things and the double glazing kept the room quite quiet. The aircon was excellent and the bed was comfortable.
We had very little interaction with the staff, but they helped when we asked questions.
They have a good arrangement to book a fixed price taxi to the airport. Useful, as due to traffic problems, our journey took much longer than usual.
There are things I did not like, but they were inconveniences rather than outright problems. But I had the impression that the hotel would have a bit of wow factor....no, it did not.
