Need some work on the landscaping, also a little more lighting in our room.
Location,quiet,close to ocean
poor room lighting, lumpy feather pillows, old living room chair and couch, breakfast nice but no brewed decaf and no one to on staff to clean off tables or dump garbage during breakfast. Garbage would pile up. Also, no holder for toilet paper.
location, updated bathroom and kitchenette, fireplace
The bed was comfortable and the fireplace was nice to have. Roomy living room area.
We love the quiet, serene atmosphere with deer walking around the property
Rooms need good clean. Behind bathroom door and carpet edges.
Location is very close to Asilomar
It just seems strange that the beds had really thin blankets. It was cold. We turned up the heat but would much rather have saved them the heating expense. We were awakened one morning by the garbage truck at 7am and the next morning by the recycling truck at 5am. The breakfast hours need to be earlier. Sofa bed was not comfortable.
The bed was comfortable, the decor was pretty. There was a jacuzzi tub and the beach was an easy walk away. Nice central location to many things to do. The kids liked the free wifi. There was a nice big TV. Quieter single story room.
I didn't care for our finicky 4 cup coffee pot.It took some coaxing and holding the machine to get it to brew the 4 cups.Another issue was the fridge. It isn't cold-it's cool.I would not let the kids eat the leftovers of seafood and chicken because I was worried about temperature issues and the food not being stored properly due to it.Bummer, threw out our seafood stew. Also since there is a pull out sofa that the kids slept on it would have been nice to have extra blankets and more than 1 extra pillow in the room.
I love the family friendly rooms and the fact the King Suite has a door seperating the bedroom from living room where the kids stay.My absolute favorite is the tub,the kids also.I also enjoy the quiet of this place.Although some rooms face driveway/parking and others are not as courteous of that fact.
Tub was dirty, holes in comforter, carpet old, dirty, and falling apart. Old dirty couch and chair, room smelled old and musty. Can hear noise in room next door.
Location was good and room was large
Pull out couch not very comfortable and problem with heating . However a portable heater was supplied.
There is little to complain of. I did miss having a towel rack for my bath towel and I wished breakfast were served a bit earlier since I had to leave for a tournament before 8:00 am. My wife enjoyed it though.
Although this room had little to recommend it in the way of a view, it was blissfully quiet and peaceful and in a fantastic location just steps away from the beautiful Asilomar Conference grounds and Asilomar State Park. The room was smartly decorated and there was a nice continental breakfast every morning featuring freshly cooked waffles and an assortment of fresh fruit and breads. The jet spa bath was relaxing and we also enjoyed dining at the nearby Fish Wife restaurant. Great place to stay!
They need to improve on their vending amenities. A small ice machine and only one broken down soda machine was all that was available.
Location is just enough out of the way to be away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to see all the sights and enjoy the beaches. Rooms clean and comfortable, very pleasant staff.
The pull out bed for our daughter was substandard. If we need it we will bring a blow up bed.
Will stay here next time we visit Monterey. Great location and very quiet.
The rooms were newly renovated with a wonderful brand new bed. It was amazingly comfortable. The new finishes were very nice. The continental breakfast was very nice... had waffles and hard boiled eggs.
We loved the room, very clean, staff was wonderful, it was quiet and cozy. Location was great, short walk to beach, can walk to downtown Pacific Grove and lots of great resturaunts. We had a lovely time.
The breakfast room was not as nice as on a previous visit - small selection if foods and the tables needed cleaning
Ideal location - comfortable room - nicely furnished
Absolutely NO water pressure in shower.
...lack of maintenance... couch in suite "sat out"...scorch marks and peeling paper above wall heater...bathroom accessories dirty... doors dirty and dinged, handles sticky... shower leaks, spraying upward on peeling wallpaper...dirty broom and cleaning equipment lean against ice machine...trash in entrance area to rooms ignored...suite's patio chairs, table covered with leafblower debris from parking lot...upholstered furniture and tables in breakfast room covered with stains plus dirty wadded tissue used as leveler under table leg...supermarket fruit platter on b'fast buffet spoiled...overflowing dumpster in guest parking area...trash on ground around dumpster... enclosure gates won't close (latch broken) so trash not only visible but blowing around guest cars and/or being picked over by ravens...we could go on...have stayed in budget motels and luxury resorts...never seen anything like this
Location near Asilomar Conference Center quiet and convenient. Attractive exterior...rooms and spacious suites originally well-designed and nicely furnished but not kept up...
Not every "cabin" has a patio or backyard area. Size of room was very small. the "breakfast" that is suppose to be awesome, is not. It is just the same as any Days Inn. For $280 per night, I could have stayed down the road with a beach front view. Worth $90-$100 per night, but in P.G., you expect a little higher class that they advertise. It looks like it's out in the groves, but it is just an old fashion motel. nothing special.
That it had a fireplace on a timer
Large rooms, very comfortable beds, excellent bathroom with bath and separate shower. Parking in front of rooms. Location close to the beach and easy distance to Carmel.
no butter at breakfast.
location and staff.
Apart from one restaurant, the Inn is not easy walking distance for any shops, bars and restaurants in Pacific Grove
Proximity to lovely beach, free breakfast, jacuzzi bath, comfortable bed
Breakfast was just so-so, but if bagels, waffles and hard boiled eggs do it for you, then maybe it's just me.
Loved the full menu of cable channels for watching movies at night. Loved being close to the beach, however, I will say the walk is about a 1/4 mile to give you an idea of what close means.
