Location, comfort, nice place
The facility needs updating and there was no hot tub, as advertised.
Loved being able to park and check in early. Full time lifeguard at the pool was awesome. Breakfast was convenient but mediocre for $10/pp.
The staff was very upbeat and seem to enjoy working there. We had a problem with the air conditioner not cooling and it was taken care of immediately. The location to the Metro was excellent. Also, a Rite Aid was in the next block for anything that was needed.
We were not able to go into the workout room - it was locked. The hotel itself needed vacuuming - the floors in the halls, elevator and other areas were visibly dirty, although our room was clean. The rooms are in need of updating. One of our lamps had no light bulb in it, and you had to unplug something to be able to charge your cell phone.
My Daughter and I were on a college visit and it was close to the metro station - GW was one metro ride away which was convenient. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Wifi was free and easy to use, and the staff really was excellent. Price was reasonable for the area.
The location of the hotel was perfect for what we needed. We walked to Arlington Cemetery one day and Georgetown another. To get to DC it's just a few stops on the Metro, or a very short car/cab ride. The rooms were nice and the balcony is a great feature.
Wifi too slow
The location is a fantastic one. A five minute walk to the metro station, making it easy to travel into DC city centre. 10 minute walk from George Town, a must see location with great restaurants.
Wifi never seemed to work for long.
Love staying in this area. The hotel is a short walk to the Metro where you can hop on the orange line and be in DC or out to Fairfax in minutes.
Sorry, can't think of any.
Location to metro rail. View
Needed a microwave. Had problems with the elevators which slowed us down and was hard on us as we both had physical problems with climbing so many stairs. We were told that the elevators were being serviced. DId not give us the breakfast coupons at check-in so there was some confusion on getting the first breakfast.
Had a swimming pool that I used and a refrigerator. Close to the Metro and also a relative that we visited was two blocks away. Breakfast two mornings at a great time and was convenient. Staff was professional.
Don't have any negatives.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They know the area well and offer great advice.
Nice and clean ! Friendly staff. Awesome location : it is attached to the Rosslyn metro station and just 10 min. walk to Georgetown. Awesome
Breakfast was horrible.
Could hear airplanes landing (a lot).
Easy to get to, convenient to metro station, free parking, excellent view for excellent breakfast.
The wait at check in, there wasn't anyone at the desk and rushed through . Had to go back to get info but the next gentleman was very helpful
The convenience of the metro and walking distance to restaurants
Staff had a very "couldn't be bothered" kind of attitude. Very dismissive and off putting. Asked for menu at breakfast and was shrugged off and told, "the buffet is better." And then told to help myself. Am I supposed to leave gratuity for that? Didn't even check on us once. Horrible and typical of someone who has been there too long and could care less. On our first night the room was getting stuffy and so I clicked on the fan, which made it even worse. Became unbearably hot and had to open the balcony door to cool down the entire room. Complained the next morning to staff and requested to change room. Was told AC was turned off and that only hot air would circulate because of the cold weather. That would've been good info when we first got our room key vs waiting until we complained the next day. Such a simple mention would've resolved this issue easier. The last day during checkout another customer complained of the exact same thing and the pony tailed guy was unreceptive to helping the guy out. Unbelievable. I don't normally fill out reviews, but felt compelled enough to do so. I travel quite a bit and this stay has to be one of the worst. Staff needs to be retrained in Customer Service from the front of the house to the wait staff. If Holiday Inn wants to promote a better image for their brand they need to start with their management teams to get to the core of problems. The hotel was painfully out-of-date. Anyone involved in brand awareness knows...Presentation is EVERYTHING.
Location to National Mall / Landmarks
The WIFI was terrible and the business center had only one computer working
The location is outstanding and the view from the room was great!!!
The breakfast buffet in the restaurant wasn't very impressive. I was happier with the breakfast items served in the hotel cafe.
Easy access to metro with 3 lines to choose from to get to Smithsonian. Staff called to see if everything was okay about 30 minutes after arriving. I thought there was suppose to be a refrigerator and asked about it. They said it was standard for King-size rooms, but they found us one and didn't charge for it.
A microwave in roms would be beneficial. Had to request fridge be brought to room even though website says all rooms are equipped. Also had to request maid service.
Location was excellent. Lobby staff and restaurant staff very polite and helpful. Comfortable room.
Food in both restaurants is poor.
Good location, comfortable bed and excellent value.
Location and price
wifi was marginal at best
Room was great and close to metro
Close to metro.
Noise from the restaurant above.
The Location is very good. Close to the metro and walking distance from Georgetown. Great staff.
