There breakfast was good. The staffing was friendly. The room was spacious.
Very few places to eat that were open in Shady Cove.
Very few places to eat that were open in Shady Cove. The best likely place to eat in Shady Cove is only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Mac's Diner adjoins the motel. Was looking forward to eating there but it was not available during my stay. This should be noted on the Restaurant's website and the Motel could also mention this fact on their website since the restaurant is adjacent to the motel.

We were visiting to bury my grandmother in our family cemetery with my grandfather. It is such a beautiful place we just love being so close to the river and love watching the wildlife near by. Our family usually visits yearly.

It's a little far off the beaten path, but the hotel is clean, it had hardwood floors, the bedding was clean, the room had a refrigerator and closet. The bathroom was decorated with like this shabby chic genre.

Maple leaf motel was just average.
Maple leaf motel was just average. Miguel’s Mexican restaurant though was among the best I’ve ever found. First rate in all ways. The town is a nice place to finish your day after seeing crater lake. Good variety of food and lodging for such a small town. Lively but still rustic.

Shady Cove is a charming small town right on the banks of the beautiful Rogue River. It is driving distance to Diamond Lake, Crater Lake, Union Creek Resort ( a very old CCC camp built USForest Service Resort) very charming and on the Rogue River Gorge and Union Creek. There is a Lodge, cabins, Beckies Café, store and gift shop with an ice cream shop across the road. There is world class salmon fishing on the Rogue River as well as other fish also. It is a short drive into Medford and easy driving to Ashland and the Shakesperian Theater. It is also an easy drive to the old town of Jacksonville. So Shady Cove is a nice relaxing spot to base your stay and visit the beautiful areas all around it.
Although this was a motel, and we usually do not stay at this type of hotel, we found it to be exceptional. The owner made sure that we were taken care of,in any way that he was able to assist. There is a nice outdoor gazebo with the table and chairs. Everything was clean and everything worked as it should.
The hotel was perfect. It had a gas station next door. Laundry facilities on property. A beautiful river that ran out back. You could watch the people rafting down the river. A great restaurant down the street called Mac’s Diner!
The front desk manager was very helpful, professional, and friendly. Rooms are large and clean. It was great having an on-site laundry. The hotel was close to shopping and gas and about an hour from Crater Lake.
Hotel was located adjacent to the Rogue River. If you get a riverfront room you can watch the rafters go by. Also, close to a good restaurant, gas station, rafting and ice cream store.
