Decent look for the money Nice coffe + coffemachine in the room Clean Welcoming reception staf - we've been checked in rooms we asked for (1st floor, no neighbours)
No Wi-Fi Cold comes from non-germetic entrance door in contrast with hot air from airconditioner Poor breakfast No fridge Poor staf and room service coordination - even so i asked in advance to provide me with a vacum cleaner none was given (so i couldn't pack my stuff properly)
We would recommend to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, relaxed downtown location. Rooms have direct access to outside so you can park in front of room and that also makes it's perfect for guests with pets. Friendly hotel staff.
Location is great. Minutes from many downtown locations and easy access to the freeway.
First room I checked in to the thermostat did not work and the heater would not shut off. The second room I checked in to after notifying the front desk of the problem with the heater had a heater that sounded very similar to a John Deere tractor. The room had a very funny smell. The faucet did not turn off and the water ran all night. This hotel was a very good hotel at one time but it has been run into the ground by current management. Sad.
Closet doors .
The carpet seemed dirty. It didn't smell fresh and clean.
Location, was in a renovated room so it was nicer than somebody the others. Some sketchy people in the parking area. Other than that it was a nice stay fur the money.
Got the room for free because it was in such poor shape
Bed broken. Walls, floor, tub, and ceiling dirty. Sheets stained with blood and yellow. Hair dyer fell out of wall. Mold on ceiling. Rust on metal ceiling parts. Tiles falling off in bathroom. Walls/ ceiling water stained. Door had broken security chain. Walls/ windows paper thin.
The proximity to the city centre.
The location could not be better for proximity to downtown Sale Lake. It is on primary off ramp for commuting to the downtown area and thereby well suited to counter flow commuting too.
The facility is not bad just TIRED. It would not take much to give is a face lift. Most of the problems could be addressed with some MAJOR maintenance. Rooms were clean everything worked, it is like they for got to maintain things for a week and then never caught up.
For location, this is in an excellent spot. You definitely get what you pay for in terms of the room, however. The facility did look like it was working on upgrading the quality of their rooms, but ours was still somewhere in the late 80's. The room was clean though, and we had no problems with noise or anything.
It would have been nice to have at least a microwave in the room, there were plenty of carpet and furniture stains(none on the beds, thank goodness), but when I think of how much I paid, it was right in with the price range. The only thing I had a real problem with is, upon returning to the room the second night, my room key didn't work, and I had to rush to the front desk for fear that they had checked us out or something. The gentleman at the front desk wasted no time fixing my issue, however, and everything in our room was still there and untouched.
When I first arrived I was skeptical because of previous reviews but the hotel and staff were actually nice. The room I had was clean, I was close to downtown and the trax. I'm not sure why people were complaining of the breakfast because I enjoyed it. Over all, this was not a bad choice.
Upon checking in I was informed of an additional $200 fee added to my room. Half of that was for security deposit and the other half was for a $20 a day charge.
The room and wifi were great
Really bad neighborhood. tv channels sucked big time.
Welcoming Fireplace lobby with 24 hour complementary hot drinks. Enjoyable stay after attending the jazz game.
location was good.
Very old and dated. Peeling wallpaper, very dirty behind dressers and bed.
It was close to places we wanted to go to. The front desk man was very nice.
The first room smelt like an ash tray and had lots if shady looking characters going in and out of rooms. We asked to switch rooms...we got to hear all about someones court date as we climbed the smelly stairs past the overflowing garbage cans and a smoker. In our room we found broken furniture and the sounds of people arguing...then we left!
liked hving sink separate from the toilet area...The gentleman on duty at check in was very nice and handled the problems very professionally... can't remember his name but it was something like Giwon..
when we went to our we found the garbage can full, used soap on the bathroom counters and the beds were not made... the room had not been serviced from the previous guests and the bath tube water would not turn completely off. We were given a new room.... it reeked!!! very bad oder. Went back to the front desk we were given a third room... this one was all good, after the frustration, we got a good nights rest... except for the both tub water leaked very bad,, would not shut off. Also, the breakfast time could be extended till 10AM.. we were tired and slept in and missed it.
Clean room, clean sheets, hot water, and hot free breakfast. Close to downtown, within walking distance, and offered free shuttle to and from airport.
Obviously hasnt been renovated in quite some time. Very thin walls so if you are a light sleeper, go somewhere else. Outdoor room entrance so high traffic noises and carpet outside was understandibly dirty. Also cable was poor with only about 20ish channels and some showed same show on multiple channels. Overall good hotel for time spent there (3days).
Wonderful people, despite late check-in. Very Good location Nice & quiet Decent buffet breakfast
Wear & tear: colored ceiling tiles, missing electrical cover, poorly repaired or loose bathroom tiles, broken toilet paper roll. The $20 refundable deposit not mentioned in advertising. It could have been a burden.
great downtown location
rooms were not clean...not smoke free
The location was convenient
The breakfast had zero protein choices - not even peanut butter for toast! And the breakfast room did not feel clean. Wi Fi was nonfunctional even in the lobby but they did have a desktop in the lobby which worked fine. Room was older but beds were clean. Stains on wall in bathroom.
the room was spacious and was appropriately furnished. Everything was as advertised, including the breakfast.
The location was good since it was in downtown and surrounded by restaurants.
Breakfast buffet was ridiculous and was the same during my whole stay for 5 days. The room was too dark since only one lampshade was working and almost going to fall down due to age I guess. Hair dryer and iron doesn't work. The heater/airconditioner is malfunctioning.
They were downtown which I needed, free shuttle to the airport also necessity.
The Howell room wasn't attached to the lobby, no elevator to rooms. Homeless people in parking lot wondering around.
- Noisy - Wifi was bad - Room was below average - TV had fewer channels
The quietness. Free WiFi and breakfast.
The television picture was rainbow colored. The channels were very few. Water pouring down from bathroom ceiling.
The trip was extremely smooth. The airport shuttle set out within five minutes after requested. Breakfast was and staff are friendly. Great location, room, and internet connection. Everything is super good! P.S. I requested a renovated room, and the room turns out to be a brand new one!
