WiFi wouldn't connect (at 1 am). TV control inoperable.
Smelly rooms Filthy walls and carpet Comforter smelled
We like the breakfast
People knocked on our door at 2 am. It was a bit scary. Maybe they and improve on securing their hotel so stranger won't be bothering their guest
Firmness of bed.
Cleanliness of exterior grounds and upper walkways.
Staff was friendly, hot tub access at neighboring hotel
Everything else: moth ball like smell, hard bed, terrible internet connection, rusty metal on ceiling from water leak, broken toilet seat, dangling bathroom light, unpredictable shower temp, poor water pressure in sink, broken tiles on bathroom wall, abrasive towels. The vacuum tube TV was small with many redundant channels. Also, couple next door fought and made noise all night, which was easy to hear due to large gaps between door and frame separating rooms.
Comforters havent been washed in years and smell. Week nights were OK, all hell broke loose on the weekend.
Ok, ok...I know you get what you pay for, but DAMN! This was the most rundown, dirty, shadiest place I've ever stayed in. A couple buddies and I booked a room just to cover our first night in SLC after getting in around 3am. I don't know what the worst part was...the disintegrating mattress with apparent critters living in them; the walls stained with God-knows-what; the bed covers that haven't been updated/cleaned since the 1980's; or the surrounding "residents" (aka meth heads) hanging out outside all night.
Staff were so friendly, I was able to check my bags in early. The bus to snowbird, alta was across the road. The bus to park city and canyons was an 15min easy flat walk. Free shuttle bus to the airport which was fantastic. I would definatly stay here again.
Staff very nice
One of the worst hotels I have ever been to. Friendly staff but, the facilities were disgusting. The buildings were falling apart, T.V. didn't work, wifi was slow, just the worst trip I have ever had. A police visit interuppted our evening together and scared my wife and caused her not to sleep at all. Don't waste your money and let this terrible hotel get bulldosed.
The location is good but there are so many other and nicer options.
Room smelled of booze and cigarettes, the heat was cranked to 90 and blowing through a vent that hadn't been cleaned in my lifetime. Walls were very thin and the shower alternated between scalding and freezing with no warning.
Inexpensive for the purpose of staying.
Outdated furnishing. Police cars seen in the parking lot several times, even though hotel was in a neighborhood of higher rated hotels.
The staff was friendly
The room didn't have very many plugs and the toilet had trouble flushing.
Lots of nasty looking stains on bed, furniture, mirror, blow dryer. Mold growing on the ceiling in the bathroom in more than one place. Shower bar was pulled out of the wall and was barely hanging on by a couple threads. The whole room and the hall leading to it smelled mildewy.
The location was good. Near the interstate (I15) and downtown area. Breakfast was not bad. We were able to park directly in front of our room.
The shower was very touchy--almost burned my feet! Also, one of the lamps was missing a bulb and the fixture was completely broken. The TV was an old CRT that got very poor reception on the 10 channels it was able to pick up. The blankets had burn marks on them from someone's cigarette ashes.
In-room phone didn't work. Ice machine on both floors weren't working. Never again will I stay there.
Curtain not hanging good and bad smell
The ice machines where out of service in my building. The room was extremely out dated. The water took long time to warm up and was never really hot. Plus was over charged was quoted $123 and they took $164 still trying to figure out why?
Only thing good was the young lady working Saturday morning
The room was horrible the service was horrible
Convenience to Trax lightrail. Airport shuttle.
Unfortunately, a few party animals decided to be loud and shine their headlights into our room at all-hours of the night. That kept us awake and on-edge. Requested a wake-up call to catch my flight on time, but the front desk staff didn't follow-through. A bit "could care less" -- but the other staff was pleasant and helpful. Need more variety than the biscuits and gravy everyday. Eggs would be a welcomed change.
the outside appearance
Value for the price paid
Wear and tear evident throughout
Good location It was quiet
The room we had needed maintenance the walls specially in the bathroom area showed a lot of humidity, the shower courtain had black spots at the bottom. The coffe maker had no lid, and my husband couldn't sleep cause the bed was too soft.
well situated downtown
warm water only & the wifi didnt work after the second day they offered us a new room but we didnt like to move.
the reception person was nice.
room is in a desperate need for a renovation. chairs had rips, tub faucet was broken
