I was greeted as though I was a family member. I was offered water at check-in. She asked me if I was having breakfast and what time I would was coming for breakfast and she would make me a waffle or cinnamon toast. She gave me an opportunity to get settled in my room and called me to see if the room was fine. The bed was very comfortable. It was not a five star hotel but the comfort of the main room was very close to that of a five star. You had a choice of pillows from firm to soft. Wide screen TV, cable, WiFi. The bathroom was small and somewhat old but the shower was nice. Towels were better than of a lot of hotel towels, not the thin hard towels. For the price you can not get a better place to stay for the comfort and especially the HOSPITALITY. I would definitely stay at this motel again.
None. The only problem if you can call it that was the vanity faucet was hard to pull on. But it worked and there was both hot and cold water.
The motel has family rooms, so everyone got to have their beds. Staff was very friendly! Overall great experience!
My only complaint was it was right across from the railroad tracks. Trains went by a lot.
Owners very accommodating and pleasant.
When we woke up the next morning there was no hot water on our wing of rooms. Several people went to office to report the problem and have breakfast and no one there.
We are coming from Colorado Springs that night we reserved our room & we are running late. I called the front desk to informed them that we will not get there until 2a.m. He was very accommodating & when we got there he was so pleasant to us, let us have a late check out at noon & offered to extend the breakfast until 11 am. The room was very clean & it is warm enough to make us feel comfortable after a very long cold trip. Breakfast was good and the lady who spoke to us was very nice & will definitely return to this place if we are passing by New Mexico again and will recommend it to my friends.......
Everything else is good, except for two thing in the bathroom, the shower knob is very hard to manipulate & it is leaking, so with the sink, water is running from the faucet when you open it... besides that everything is very good!
size of room, quiet.
Leaking toilet, run down, moldy, no working fan for white noise. Husband got sick from mold.
the extra care and all the wonderful special things their family did for me.
The room was huge-it had two arm chairs, lamp table, recliner, TV console, and more. Nice decor inside, adequate breakfast was included. Staff was friendly and helpful. Sonic next door for quick meal.
Location is on Old Route 66 with railroad tracks across the street-The trains were noticeable, both whistles and engines. The parking lot is literally falling apart.
Not as noisy as expected in such a location
The hotel was clean and comfortable, good value with friendly and helpful staff. The free breakfast was adequate and the wifi good and fast.
The only downsides are firstly the location. Given most people will stay here for one night as a stopover, this isn't a big deal. It is in a bit of a dead area and there really isn't any food options within walking distance other than a terrible sonic drive-in and a McDondals. It was a shame as after a day of driving I just felt like walking to a restaurant, and there are plenty of other motels in town in more lively areas. Secondly the pillows on the bed. They are soft and thick, but about the size of couch cushions rather than normal bed pillows. This was problematic on a king sized bed where you couldn't really roll over without rolling off the pillow. Not a big deal but puzzling. I would still stay here again.
I arrived in the evening on my motorcycle, quite drenched after four hours of rain; unusual for Arizona/NM. Before I could even ask, the staff insisted that I park the bike under the main archway so it could dry out. And they were very pleasant in the morning. Breakfast was a bit sparse, but I was anxious to get on my way, so it was all good.
big room nice bathroom good bed table relaxchair flatscreen tv fridge and micowave guestlaundry for 10$ coffeemaker+coffee
We were treated like personal guests at the proprietor's home.
Very friendly reception from the owner. Room was large and well furnished with fridge, microwave and ironing equipment as well as the usual. Spotlessly clean. The breakfast was a very pleasant surprise: not only coffee, juice, toast, cereals, but I was asked if I wanted a fresh waffle! It was large and crisp and absolutely delicious. This was an overnight stay for me after a long drive and I loved the fact that there was a rail line which paralleled the road and I enjoyed the mournful whistle of the trains throughout the night. I was offered cold water on arrival and when I left.
Fiddly taps for sink and bath/shower. Noisy air conditioner. I could not make one of the bedside lamps work.
Cleanliness of room, bathroom, comfortable bed, spaciousness. Building is an older one but the rooms are well cared for. Staff was terrific. I had a nice, quiet sleep. Good restaurant right down the road. I would stay here again for sure.
Had a nice stay, no complaints
Wonderful Wi-Fi, and very friendly staff!
Railroad is close by and train passes every 30 minutes!
From the outside it didn't look that great but once inside the room it was a good place to stay, nice and clean with comfy beds and working wifi and we had waffles for breakfast freshly made
Felt horrible for calling them right after they woke up probably to see if I had left my debit card in the room ( we got a super early start on the day!)
Great place for price paid!
Big room with queen bed. Air conditioning NOT nearby the bed-wonderful! Excellent wifi....
The trains in the night. ... taps needed!
The proprieters recommended a great restaurant nearby for dinner, Badlands Grill. Appreciated having kitchen facilities like frig and microwave. Inner door and inside hallway outside room made it quieter and more secure.
Breakfast very minimal continental style. I skipped it.
XL, clean and comfortable room, XL bed, fully equipped room complete with ironing facilities, coffee set and good TV); friendly, dedicated, good-humoured owners.
The usual horrific budget motel/inn smell.
Friendly staff, good continental breakfast, coffee, fridge and microwave, free premium TV
Facilities look old from outside
room was clean and bed was comfortable, staff was courteous
location although interesting being on historical route 66 was a couple of miles from the interstate but easily accessible
The hotel was slightly out of the main downtown area but the room was very well appointed and the reception was efficient and welcoming. The hotel rate was very competitive.
The hotel is opposite the railroad tracks which are busy with freight trains and a crossing nearby meant that the constant flow of trains blew their whistles four times every time they passed. We were very tired so it was not a source of disturbance.
The Room was clean..
The only issue about the room was the sink, but it was taking care of right away.
