Fixtures need upgrade and maintenance. Beds should be replaced.
Location and view
Having to go home
The view and location were great
Building is too old. It's not even retro / vintage. When I phoned the front desk for earplugs due to the bar band next door I was told not available. I requested a room change and was given a room with 1 queen bed and I had to request a "roll a way"
The Location The Value Ocean Front Room Size of room
Have to drive to an actual sand beach
Loved the location, the pool area and the view of the ocean. The price is great! I would definitely stay here again!
Oceanside bar, ambience of main building, location in Kona, appetizers
Cheap mattress, dated decor in room and tower
I liked how the staff throughout the hotel were helpful and friendly. I liked how the staff were prepared to take the time to listen and assist and they also showed a genuine interest in us and where we came from.
I used a cashpassport prepaid credit card and when using this in the restaurants/facilities in the Resort, even though all costs were paid in full upon departure, 2 weeks after my return home these costs are still pending on my credit card meaning I do not have access to this money.
This resort hotel is conveniently located to stores, restaurants, tour facilities, plus it has an extraordinary seaside vista
Maintenance is slipping. Exterior paint is overdue in some areas, and all-weather carpeting is due for cleaning unexposed areas. A spruce-up would get this facility into a top rating. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Central location. Bed was comfortable.
Rooms are old bedding outdated parking slim great party bar on beach close to everything
Excellent Customer Service Great Bar
Chargeable WiFi Free WiFi (Hot Spot) in bar; which never worked in 3 days Expensive On the Beach but no facility to enjoy swimming/recreation
Old sliding glass door's
Helpful front desk, managed to check us in early so we could make the most of our short 2 day stay. Clean, spacious room. Drinks & nibbles at the bar were lovely, helped by the lovely views. Easy to park, costs $10 a day. If you need to check in for your flight, there is a computer linked to airlines at the front reception.
Lift #6 or #7 needs some cosmetic work. Wifi charges. You have to book through the tv in the room, and it's $10 a day (also rates for longer stays).

I took my extended family of 12 in 3 rooms overnight for a get away. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. My family enjoyed the pool and ocean tide pool. The surrounding activities in kona, bowling the movies, shopping for school was a plus. Enjoyed the brief stay. Mahalo
Only that they could not accommodate the rooms requested with two double beds but they brought in rollaway that were great for the children.
I wish there was a jacuzzi
I really like the location and staff:)
resort is dated.
Had to pay for internet. Breakfast buffet was too expensive. Hotel was old , had a leak overhead in our bathroom. Only hot spot for internet was in the bar. I imagine that the hotel thought it would get guest to drink, but I didn't see anyone drinking.
Good location Quiet & relaxing
Wifi was only free in the lobby
Bugs in room
The bar and common areas were beautiful. We woke up early and enjoy the fabulous view of the water from the bar and the ability to walk into town for breakfast.
Rooms had not been updated and were not up to the same standards as the downstairs although it was clean.
Had a great stay the staff was excellent the view was perfect. Would stay again!
My first night my bathroom had a lot of hair all over. I reported it the next morning and no problems after that.
Needs upgrading in and out.
Nice surroundings, cute little lagoon, big room. I like that it is not in the middle of the town but still just a few minutes walking distance. Some staff at the breakfast are very good, some a little less. The girl at the Expedia agency in the hotel was very good at recommending different companies for different activities based in what I was looking for.
I stayed in the lagoon tower. The building is not very clean in the hallway and around elevetors, the carpet needs a good refresher. I then moves to the main building to join a tour and it is much cleaner, like a normal hotel.
beautiful location (ocean, pond/fish on site), decor, view of the ocean from our room...
