The room was large, comfortable and attractive, very nice to have a refrigerator and microwave. Everything was clean and worked perfectly. The staff was friendly and helpful. We did have to ask for the wifi password as it wasn't until we unpacked that we realized we still needed it. Free wifi worked well. We got a good recommendation for where to get a quick burger. Breakfast has a lot of good choices. The pool looked nice but we didn't swim. Overall, an excellent stay.
Main street is all torn up, it's hard to find the hotel and when you do, it's hard to find the driveway. The staff seems to live there and was cooking a lot. The hallways all look alike and need signage to indicate which way to the lobby. They have good wifi coverage but the access points all have different names so you have to connect in the room and again at the pool and again the lobby breakfast room.
Loved that it was clean, comfortable, has a great pool area and even provided 'room service' through a separate company that delivers... although we didn't use it, it was a great bonus. Plan to bring the kids next time for a mini vacation to utilize their other amenities.
The hallways smelled a little stale (like the older hotels smell - maybe it used to be a smoking hotel?), the balcony overlooked a trailer park - not a deal breaker, but definitely did NOT use the balcony, the staff was not rude, but not overly concerned with customer service, and the street construction was a pain for travel, but did not effect the quality of the stay.
The room was updated and comfortable. The staff was helpful. Breakfast was great.
Road construction, but they can't control that!
Huge room. Quiet..
Window AC was not big enough for the room They did not inform me about breakfast and at 8:50 the guy said we are closing at 9, you better have it outside.
Facilities were very clean and near.
Could have air conditioner running in our room since it was 110° outside - hallways were cool but room was not.
Good basic accommodations
Major construction going on in the vicinity of hotel during our stay made access to hotel difficult.
Friendly staff doing the breakfast help
Great deal. Nice rooms.
Rough location. Cold reception.
Check in female staff was great and very friendly.
Check out male staff didn't say a word, kept his earphones the whole time. No hello, no goodbye, no thank you for staying. Just tossed my receipt toward me and walked away.
I used three rooms while we were in town. Nice clean rooms. Nice clean pool and hot tub. Good enough breakfast to take care of 4 teenagers.
Thin walls. Heard a couple across the hall thoroughly "enjoying" their stay...no need for TV.
The staff was rude. I have two boys we came out for a track meet we book a room with a king bed and they wouldnt let me check in. I had to put my other son in a different room with another parent. I want be back next year. Neither will my team mates
The hotel is attractive from the outside with many rooms overlooking a very pleasant pool area. Ask for a first floor room with a view of the pool and then you'll get a little balcony to sit out on (: The breakfast buffet was good offering a nice variety: cereal, yoghurt, fruit, pastries, boiled eggs, waffles etc. The wifi worked well and was free.
This hotel was not in the same league as the Comfort and Quality Inns and Suites we stayed at. The staff were polite but not very helpful and friendly. We needed a late checkout as we only needed to leave for the airport at 6 pm to fly at 11pm. At Comfort Inn we could have paid for half a day but late checkout at Clarion was a non-negotiable 'til noon only' otherwise we had to pay for another full day, even though it was a Sunday. They didn't even offer us the option of leaving our luggage at Reception til later in the day. In Greece and Thailand we found hotels very understanding and accommodating in this regard. We regretted changing hotels but we did so as Clarion was cheaper than Comfort Suites and the Quality Inn was fully booked.
The beds were comfortable, and overall the room was fairly clean. Even with two beds in the room, we were not crowded. Microwave and refrigerator were nice additions. I would stay here again.
The entire street in front of the hotel was under construction, and it was sometimes difficult to get out of the parking lot. Although the front desk staff spoke English, the housekeeping staff seemed to know only a few words of English. Also, the refrigerator should be defrosted. The breakfast was not great. I had hoped for more substantial items. The only eggs I saw were hard boiled, and the bagels could have been ironed, they were so thin.
Obviously recently updated with tile and granite. Bathroom very clean and efficient. Comfortable beds and good A/C. Breakfast was top notch and everything was fresh. We enjoyed our stay and would return when we come to Mesa or surrounding area.
Access was a challenge with the main street torn up which required having to go several blocks East before being able to turn to go in any other direction. No restaurant nearby within walking distance.
Pool was too cold... The whole second floor smelled like curry...
The free breakfast was very good and there were two computers for guests to use.
There was a lot of construction on Main St.
Room was nice, clean
Wi-fi did not work
The room was spacious, clean, and had good chair for relaxation and a good place to work at the desk. Bed was comfortable. Good shower head. Nice breakfast with plenty of seating. Friendly staff.
Noise from adjacent rooms, but the people quieted down after 9:30. There is major construction going on to build a light rail on Main Street. It was noisy one night, but quiet the second night. Construction means you can only access the hotel from one direction and exit in one direction. Was not really a problem for me.
I didn't like that the front desk person , I believe the manager was very rude! He didn't smile, made me not want to stay there, and not very friendly! He was unprofessional!
I didn't like that the front desk person , I believe the manager was very rude! He didn't smile, made me not want to stay there, and not very friendly! He was unprofessional! I asked if I could have a later check our! He said just one hour! And I still got a call from someone telling me it was check out At 11 and room service knocking on the door! I would not stay there again or recommend anyone to stay there!
Location Pool and exercise facilities Beds - very comfortable
Laundry facilities - only one washer and dryer Restaurants next door were closed although there are plenty of places near by Cooking smells of curry although not in room
Not much other than it was a place to sleep and hang my clothes.
My reservation said I could check in at 1 PM. When I arrived at 1 PM, I was told that I could not check in until 2 PM. There was massive street construction at the entrance and it made it difficult to come in and out of the facility. The pool was closed even thought the temperature was 84 F. My iron did not work and I never got an iron that did work. I had to had my clothes in the bathroom and attempt to use to shower steam to get the wrinkles out. Needless to say I had wrinkled instead of freshly pressed clothes. The TV was some outdated model that I did not know was in existance anymore. (real dinosaur) The staff was rude. I will never stay at that Clarion again. I have had good experiences in the past with Clarion. This was an unbelievably bad experience.
Clean and comfortable. Quiet and professionally managed.
The location is in a rougher neighborhood, but the are some good restaurants nearby and it is centrally located in the East valley.
Room was good size. Breakfast had a very good selection. Pool area looked nice although we didn't use it.
Construction on the road in front was going on and made getting around a little difficult, but this was not the fault of the hotel. We didn't notice any noise from the construction.
Stayed for only a few nights and was impressed by the generally pleasant situation. The free use of the Internet PC in the lobby was welcome and the breakfast was a rather pleasant affair, too.
Very clean. Friendly staff. Nice and quiet for relaxing around the pool.
