Easy to walk to everything. Royal street is most interesting shopping.
Always a great place to stay!!
Our room was not available at check in time. I will still come back!!!!
Everyone was nice and pleasant
The Staff, especially Justin. Everyone bent over backwards to ensure that we were happy.
Your advertisement of the property did not mention the fact that there was no elevator. If I missed it, shame on me! If you didn't mention it, shame on you! We are senior citizens and do fair well with stairs.
The location was perfect! The building was gorgeous. The staff was very outgoing!
The delux bedroom was super small! There was no room to move. You literally opened the door and the bed was there. The bathroom was horrible! I've never showered in such a small tub before. The website said it was going to be a marble tub and it def was not!
The staff at this hotel was absolutely amazing. I have worked in many hotels across the nation, and front check-in to check-out, every staff member was friendly, helpful and courteous. The location of The Hotel Royal was also perfect! Off Bourbon enough to be quiet in the evenings, but close enough to the best parts of the Quarter-day and night. Being able walk to Frenchmen St was a highlight, since that is where I spend most of my New Olreans evenings. I will certainly stay at the Hotel royal again and again!
The brick wall in the room made the wifi signal a little weak, but I wasn't traveling on business so it was ok for me.
Balcony, view, location
Had an exceptional Hotel Clerk. Every request was met with a smile and prompt compliance! His name was Justin. The entire Hotel was quaint and had an Old World look.
Would have liked an elevator (just for the luggage).
Location. Comfy beds
Smoking allowed in the courtyard was pretty unpleasant, especially as this was the only place to sit and eat breakfast.
The location and staff were excellent. The staff was very friendly and catered to every need.
I would have given it the best rating all around if there hadn't been a problem with the room the first night. We weren't able to get our patio room the first night. There was some kind of problem. They did put us in another room but it wasn't as spacious or comfortable. The second night when we got to check into the original patio room i reserved, everything was wonderful. I'll definitely stay here again. Only in a patio suite though.
Charm of the hotel,great location
Petite rooms were small, no elevator
One block from Boubon Street, two blocks from Jackson Square. Coffee ready and waiting for a 4:15 AM pick-up for a ride to the airport. Room with a balcony overlooking Royal St.
Very busy location with a school across the street. Busses and cars picking up and dropping off kids in the morning and afternoon.
Hats off to Eric, Olivia, Wyatt, and Adrien--such congenial, knowledgeable, and helpful staff! Beautiful accommodations with the historic flair I was looking for in a place to stay in NOLA. The bed was sumptuously comfortable, and mostly everything else in this boutique hotel was a perfect fit for me. WHEN I come back to NOLA, THIS is where I'll stay again.
Continental breakfast and wifi could have been better.
Hotel Staff was great! We showed up early and they booked us the best room in the hotel. (you had to walk up 4 flights of stairs) but the view was great and a fabulous room. Could have made an attractive studio apartment. This was our first time in New Orleans and the Hotel put us right in the middle of the action. Every staff member we encountered was very polite and helpful when it came to recommendations of restaurants and haunted tours. I would definitely book again with this hotel for a return trip! Oh, and the courtyard is beautiful! The experience at this hotel enhanced our trip ten fold!
My girlfriends iphone was able to connect to the free wifi, but my windows phone was not. I never asked the front desk for help so this simply could have been my own mistake. The room had a noticeable slope to the floor, but in my mind this is to be expected on the 4th floor of a nearly 200 year old building.
Loved that it was a Creole farmhouse, the history of the building is fantastic. Very comfortable room, super clean.
This hotel is ideally placed on Royal Street in the heart of the French Quarter. The standard room is small but great. The staff are very helpful and an extra thanks to Eric :) I would use and recommend this hotel.
Great location. Great staff.
Be prepared to walk up what could be several flights of stairs depending on the location of your room.
Perfect location! Balcony room!
To many steps to get to some of the rooms!
great staff, very clean room, and comfortable beds. parking available
Overall hotel was great very nice and clean great air conditioning.
Rooms are small and almost no parking all of wich is the standard for the French Quarter.
The staff was excellent very friendly and helpful. Location was great close to everything. I will definitely stay there again.
Room was rather small but had a great view of the courtyard. A little noisy but after all it was the French Quarter.
Great staff, great location
Old building, thin walls
Just close enough to Bourban Street to walk and feel safe in the evening as well as get to the market in the morning. Royal is perfectly placed for art lovers.
Petite room is up four flights of stairs...still a lovely room and bellboy to help us carry up,
Staff was very friendly and willing to help how ever very understaff and not able to handle volume of people. Good location.
When we got in our room it had very add smell almost like a fry food , they were water marks from leaking water on the walls , we did not received anyone to come clean our room till we had to call back to reception and completely run out of toilet paper , just a bad experience
No parking or elevator
