    Location, helpful staff.

Price, this should only be 2 star at the most with 2 star price. Reception is dark. Rooms need revamped. Breakfast is a waste of money which consists of variety packs of cereal and pastries. The breakfast area is the reception sofa.

The breakfast area was too narrow and there wasn't many options.

the old historic surroundings of the hotel especially the fountain and patio area staff was courteous and very informative very quiet clean

question would arise on some occasion if parking is secure from night life revelers or undesirables

I enjoyed how quiet the hotel was. Our room was on the second floor right off the court yard. It's a short 2 block walk to Bourbon and a short 3-4 block walk to Cafe du Monde and everything exciting. The shower was huge for the petite room and the bathrooms were amazingly clean for a nola hotel. I have seen some not so clean in the past. Oh and the staff was amazingly helpful.

The web advertises pictures on the wall, our room was bare. Would have been nice to see some of the pictures the rest of the hotel has. You could tell there were a few spots on the wall that had water damage- but we didn't mind that had been repaired, but with nola it's so humid so I don't know why other people's reviews complain about this. The city is old and historic, get over it.

Apart from the location being a perfect distance away from Bourbon street (close enough to walk yet far enough away not to be disturbed by the music) plus perfect distance walk to the French market and main square, and apart from the clean comfy rooms, great balconies, I can honestly say the staff are the best asset of this hotel. Everyone from the baggage handlers to the reception staff, all awesome. Eric gets a special mention very helpful young man but everyone makes this hotel awesome.

The breakfast consists of coffee, oj, a few pieces of bread and some cereal but you shouldn't be having breakfast inside the hotel when 30 secs walk away in any direction you have a million and one choices for food! Go out enjoy what N.o has to offer!

Service. The bell hop, Eric is wonderful and a real cool guy. The room with the balcony is amazing. Beds ultra comfy. Location. 2 minute walk from all the action in Bourbon Street while maintaining a nice quite feel.

Nothing except the wifi was maybe a little hit and miss if using it on the balcony but that's just nit-picking.

Clean rooms, extremely pleasant staff, beautifully maintained building, awesome rain shower marble bathrooms, excellent location.

Room was a bit small with no dresser for clothes but it hardly bothered us.

The rooms were small and they dont have parking, and parking on the street isnt great. I should have booked a room a little closer to town or with parking.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Way too noisy. People arriving in the middle of the night, street sounds right outside our room.

Eric at the front desk was extremely helpful with advise and directions. Hotel is located close to all our needs. Quiet hotel, with a lot of history.

House keeping did not replenish our shampoo and conditioner relatively minor.

We were in our honeymoon and stepped in New Orleans for three days. The staff couldn't have been nicer! They helped us book our tours, recommended great restaurants and venues, we loved them. The location is perfect! You're in the french quarter, at walking distance from everything and yet the noice and confusion doesn't bother you. Great hotel, excellent staff, great location, great value for your money. No more to say!

Very cute courtyard in the quiet part of Royal St. Helpful staff. Comfortable room.

Croissants and vanilla yogurt for breakfast left a little to be desired. Courtyard could be loud, esp drunken people returning at night (our doors were pulled on two occasions).

Awesome staff!! Eric was sooo helpful...such a friendly guy the hotel itself was beautiful...and the location was great..quiet but still close to the action!!

Room was sort of small for the price but it was still very nice...going up and down the stairs was a bit of a struggle after long days of walking!

The staff was amazing and extremely helpful! The beds were supper comfy and the whole hotel had an awesome feel to it.

The parking situation needs to be a little better. Glad there was at least a small place to pay to park though.

The location is excellent, right in the center of the French Quarter. You can walk to everything in 10 minutes. I also liked that it is a preserved old townhome. We arrived somewhat late at night and one of the staff members was great about hauling our heavy luggage up the stairs for us.

I have stayed in the French Quarter several times and I felt that this hotel was somewhat overpriced for what we got. They advertise that the hotel is totally renovated, marble baths, etc but our room was really disappointing. Slapping a coat of cheap white paint on everything is not a renovation. We certainly did not have any marble bathroom. The floor was just old tile that had been painted and was all scuffed up. Fixtures were not new and there was a big hole in the wall underneath the bathroom sink. Overall I felt like the small amenities that you would expect based on how the hotel website describes their accommodations were missing. Our room was tiny and I suspect we were put in a room that was smaller than what we paid for. The courtyard fountain was inoperable for our entire stay and was just sitting in pieces. This could be a really fantastic property but the updates were done on the cheap and it shows.

    Location

Too many steps, up and down. Step down to enter room, almost fell twice, step up to enter bathroom, wife almost fell twice. Not enough furniture, we had to open our bags and leave them laying open on the floor, nowhere to put anything. The picture on the TV was not clear, one remote for both TVs and it changed both TVs at the same time. We were not happy with the room, for the price.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was ultra friendly and helpful. We had no idea which restaurant to eat at for dinner and one of the staff who helped us with our bags recommended an amazing hole in the wall place.
