The location was nice. Walking distans to the shops and restaurants! We were staying in a hostel downtown the first night. It was a lot of homeless people There and we Didnt feel safe walking around There. So this was mutch better.
We liked everything!
Easy access and parking services
Public areas look, feel and are dirty. Bathroom and bed were clean. Rugs and curtains were horrible.
Cleanliness. Friendly staff. Excellent location.
Noise from the street, especially between 4-6 AM, when they are cleaning the streets...
Central location in Chinatown
Clean. Well supplied with towels, soaps, towels, etc.
Remote on TV did not work. I didn't bother to report it and used the controls on the set itself. We spent little time using the television set. Room size is adequate, but it would be nice if it were larger
The only thing that is a possible positive about this hotel, is the onsite parking. This hotel is a dump with an onsite parking lot.
This hotel is a dump with an onsite parking lot. The rooms and common areas are filthy! Wore my flip flops to take a shower. Hair on my pillow upon check in. Shower so icky that we wore our flip flops to shower. Not worth the price. Please stay away!
The location to the property was good - close to loads of eateries (heart of Chinatown and a street away from little Italy). Fairly close to the City, by Cab was about $10 and about 15-20 min walking to Fisherman's Wharf. There was free wifi which was accessible even in the rooms and overall the Staff were friendly. Rooms were of a good size, we had 3 people in a room and there was enough room for 3 big luggage and walking around.
It is to be noted that there are no AC facilities, and they only way to ventilate your room would be to open the door - A fan was provided Not quite safe if you think about it. The room is fairly tired though adequate. There is no safe box in the room, which was a major downside, we had to keep our passports and valuables in the safe at the reception.
The hotel was clean and in a great location to get everywhere.
free parking, nice places very close (city lights bookstore, café trieste)
old, ugly building, in a bad state
Location excellent, clean, spacious rooms, free wifi and parking
No microwave or fridge( available at additional cost), no breakfast, no AC,a bit noisy if you are facing the main road, rooms need a bit of renovating
Modern furbishing. Room big enough, bright enough thanks to wide windows, clean, with all the lights and devices functioning and loading plugs for phones and other stuff where needed. Lot of towels provided. Perfect shower temperature and pressure.. Outstanding quality of bed and pillows. Kindness and availability of the woman at the reception. In that trip in San Francisco and california we went to other more expensive hotels that didn't offer these basic things. The location is great, in the middle of lively Chinese district. Breakfast can be found either at Mama's or in North Beach district or even in Financial district.
Jut a bit noisy of course due to the fact that room was on main street, but you don't spend time in the room during the day, and at night, well... we slept like babies on the very comfortable bed.
Free parking, free wifi, excellent location, clean rooms
Located on the edge of Chinatown. Very hospitable, helpful and friendly staff. Room clean and adequate. Free Wifi.
Very tired looking from the outside If you are looking for four star accommodation, this is not for you.
Cheap and clean central budget hotel. Good location right on Broadway in Chinatown, seconds from North Beach Italian sections and a few minute drive to most anywhere. There are some demerits as noted here but the good outweighs the bad b/c of the price, which was low for SF.
Not enough parking next to hotel but plenty of room in garage downstairs with an entrance from hotel elevator. The immediate area is a little seedy with strip clubs (some may like that though). Terrible wireless. No breakfast to speak of (some pre-wrapped unappetizing looking cake - that's it).
Desk staff was very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. The room included all basic needs, was clean and amply spacious.
Several lights of the billboard were out, giving the hotel an outwardly 'seedy' appearance.
Very helpful staff and good location
Close to restaurants and shopping.
Would have preferred a room away from the traffic - had a room at the front.
Size of rooms and beds. Service and staff were lovely
Quite a noisey location, coffee was that filter stuff I would have preferred just to have a kettle
The room was very clean and had a comfy bed. There was also free valet parking which was very nice. Great for tourists; on the edge of Chinatown and within walking distance of the Wharf.
Area was a little sketchy but manageable. There was also a noisy vent in the bathroom.
- Central location -Friendly staff
-No cleanliness water in closet or bidet in bathroom. -Coffee machine is dirty.
Free parking lot plus extra garage, pretty clean room, lamps with outlet good for phone charger, extra fan in room for cool air.
The king size bed was hard as a rock. Pillows were really super thin. Couldn't sleep due to how uncomfortable I was. My back and neck hurt the next morning. No ac, just a fan for cool air. Staff spoke poor English, but they were really nice.
We walked to the wharf - about a 20 minute walk! And free parking was a big savings!
The exterior is a mess but the rooms are in much better shape. No air conditioning and rooms are small but who wants to spend time in a room when you are in San Francisco!
Hair dryer didn't work Hall carpet was ratty
