Room was small but nice and clean. King size bed was comfortable. Plenty of towels. Large closet if you're traveling and have luggage and a wardrobe. Flooring is nice. Our stay was quiet and nice. Getting ice from the courtesy desk is ok, just need to give a bigger container. Low water pressure.

Packets of soap of good quality. Fluffy towels. Language problem with staff who could not communicate in English very well. After staying one night, the clerk wouldn't let me book a second night at the booking.com discounted rate. A drunk was wandering around lobby hour after hours. No security guard on duty.

The location Is right in the centre of Chinatown with some great restaurants (mainly Chinese obviously) it's about 7 dollars in a can to downtown la. Great little Mexican market by the entrance of china town too. It provided us with a good base to explore la. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking can be a slight prob. We drove out for the day and lost our space and when we arrived there wasn't another space but the receptionist let us park in front of his car and called us when he was leaving so we could park in his spot do it was hardly a negative but felt I should put it.

Appears to be a family motel. Young counter person was very friendly and courteous; person who may have been father was rude; and person who was grand father was somewhat courteous. Have an iron, but no ironing board. Regular buses to downtown. Location in china town were anything you need was avaiable. No sink plug; no ironing board; person that worked at night was rude and wanted $10 to use iron. Water pressure was weak.

It was clean, had free WIFI, and was quiet. There was a fridge, and coffee was available in the lobby in the morning. The price was good. I would have liked carpet or at least rugs on the wood floor.

check in, parking, & check-out were all super easy. rooms were clean.. took our own clorox wipes to wipe down stuff. room had a mini fridge, toiletries, extra toilet paper, tissue paper, a phone, & good lighting. hardwood floors were a plus. there was a pull out bed in the closet. if you need an iron u just have to ask the front desk for it no huge complaints at all. the hallways were kind of narrow... thats about it.

We loved the size of the room and bathroom. The room next to us and abovs us had guests who were fighting with weapons and yelled all night until we had to call the cops. Management refused to help in relocating us and get the guest out of the hotel. Didn't offer us another night or seem concerned for anyones safety. Will not stay there again or suggest the place to anyone we know.

The convenience of the location. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff that was working in the late afternoon was very friendly and helpful. I checked in early and the older gentelman working was very unfriendly could not get my amx card to work. If traveling and expect to use amx don't count useing it here. This is the only place my card would not work.

This place is awesome!!!!! Affordable, clean, and cozy. First of all it is located in Chinatown Los Angeles, cali, which is filled with lovely architecture, shops, food, and one of central, Pasadena and downtown la's main train (the gold line). Not all of the employees speak fluent english but they do know the meaning of customer service. The people at this place mind their own business and give you all the privacy that you pay for. They leave you alone if you want them to and mind their own business. They're all smiles all the time and always keep the rooms clean. Home away from home! Will definitely go back.

Bamboo floors are wonderful for my lungs. As an asthmatic I always choose the hotel that offers a carpet free room. Royal Pagoda is also in the heart of China Town so dining out id a dream! The older gentleman who works the desk is argumentative and should be retired.

It was fairly cheap and centrally located The wifi didn't work!!! It was supposed to have wifi but it kept going out and wouldn't work inside the rooms. I was given a new room only after I threatened to leave and the grumpy front desk person only did it because I didn't use the room yet. Then in the morning in my new room the wifi stopped working again. Bogus. This place sucks and the management sucks too. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Convenient location, near downtown L.A., in Chinatown, small motel, parking right out front, front desk folks very friendly and helpful, good restaurants within walking distance. It was a little noisy, but not too bad.

Some staff have access to my room by opening and closing entry like on the floor so that there is no force entry. I took some video footage in my phone but they were erased. There should be security cañeras There were no renters on top of my room but there were people running back and forth. They opened and screwed it back so that its not obviously they entered.

I am disabled, asked for a first floor room when I booked and they did not provide it plus they had no elevator. The bathroom door was too narrow for me to enter with a walker.
