room is very old, shabby, basic like in Hostel but they do not think it is a Hostel
Nothing at all
I couldn't control the heat it was very very uncomfortable at night. When the cleaning or house keeping staff it is very noisy. The window do not open I so how understand no air conditioner!!!!!
Value for money, location.
A little bit messy, very old interior
Room temperature was too hot Bathroom towels were dirty When the check out there was nobody at the counter we wait almost 20 minutes
Reality is different from the photos on website. Small rooms and dimly lit.
location. confort. prive
Location-very close to subway station, bus station Friendly and helpful staff
No bedbugs, simple but clean. Just a bed and some walls. Nearby metrostation. Perfect for some students!
If you want more than this you should sleep at a more expensive hotel.
Location is perfect. Close to subway and bus station
Stuff was slow. Bugs in the rooms. One restroom for all flor
At least the only thing that works was the Wi-Fi.
We are 4 friends, and are studying so we thought to take a cheaper Hotel. But this accomodation was awful. We are just staying for about an hour to book another Hotel. To stay at this Hotel was impossible we felt so unsafe in there. The shared bathroom on our unit was disgusting. I would never ever go back to this hotel!!
Thankfully it's New York so. you can spend all your time away from the room.
If you are a fan of cockroaches, faecal towel stains, other people's hair in your bed, cold showers and the knowledge that you are paying more than many other nearby hotels than this is the place for you! I have never stayed anywhere which represented such terrible value for money or what appeared so different to the photos on the website. This is trade misdescription act in my book and I was gutted to be locked into a no refund cancellation policy by the surly staff on the front desk. We moved rooms after finding cockroaches and were put for 1 night in a "hotel" room on level 3. This is no better. The carpet was dirty, rough and didnt even reach the walls. The TV remote was dead and had mainly Hispanic channels, the bed was just as stained as the last (thankfully no cockroaches though) and the towels felt like you were drying yourself on grubby sandpaper. We were relocated back to a hostel room the next day. 50% of the towels were poo stained, the beds were liberally decorated in "bodily hair" and the bathroom next door had another of our mates, the cockroaches. May our pain be your gain, avoid like the plague (which we probably have now).
conveniently located to transportation.
the hotel and accommodations were rough. missing towels, mission soap, under par cleanliness, staff assistance were all lower than expected.
Good location and rooms are fairly good
Bathrooms are badly maintained and unpleasant.
location Very helpful staff Close to Walgreens Really close to subways Bathroom in "private room" was excellent
NOISE in the lobby were all the private rooms are was soooooo loud. The do not disturb sign apparently means nothing Hard hard beds and really huge firm pillows (sore neck) No and I mean NO facilities (ice, wifi, vending machines, conditioner, kitchen etc etc) Doors lock was dodgy
Great location, nice staff, free wifi
The staff was friendly and accommodating, the location in the Upper West Side is outstanding - a block and a half from the 96th St. station.
Lack of a sink in the room meant simple brushing of teeth, washing of face, or drinking of water was complicated.
Okay location was good but wifi wasn't working at all for 2 days. Answer to the problem : try again! Pathetic. one room one week 1500$ without bathroom ( one for 4 rooms)and what is worst, bugs everywhere. neither in Cambodia ( 5 $ per night ) had those qualities.
Location, nice staff
Old building, very small room
Location near subway was great.
Shared bathroom for the whole floor. No heat in the room.
nothing at all
Very poorly attended, at night screaming, shouting and slamming doors that make it impossible to sleep. after my protests someone started knocking heavily on my door, feared for my safety I thought about calling the police. the day after requested room change but the situation did not getted better. given the very low level of service the price has been unacceptably high. very bad experience in new York, heavily unsuggested!!! PS baggage deposit by charge the last day as final present...
- excellent location, close to subway station, many possibilities to eat and drink - room was clean, towels changed everyday - staff was friendly and willing to solve any technical problem
- room too small, no space to put things, hardly to move around the bed - shower was ok, but other amenities were poor (no chair, no table, no mirror in bathroom) - intensive noise from the courtyard probably caused by concentration of hundreds of airconditioners, airconditioner in our room made an unbearable noise so we did not use it at all, no possibility to close fully the window
The front room. So great
It all depends on what you want or need, staff is friendly and is a block away from line 1 sub.
Not as clean, wifi falls a lot and no private bathrooms
clesnliness. Oversharing of toilets. Large groups next door to single travelers. Old worn out interior spaces. More "security" than a "reception"
The wifi reception was ok and it is located close to the subway
Everything The rooms are filthy The staff are awful Do not ever stay here
