Friendly enough, 24 hr concierge.
Overall decoration and appearance of the whole hotel. Needs a refit in my view.
We had never had to share a bathroom before but, once we got used to it, everything was fine. The staff are nice (but the guy in the morning at the front desk), the heating is wonderful, the Wi-Fi works (although you need to log-in many times), and it is a clean place.
Location, felt like a New Yorker. Gave us a chance to see and use local shops. Preferred it over a top rating hotel we stayed at in Times Square! Homey.
Only issue was the weird jet of water coming from the shower hose and shower drainage.
The place is well located. Close to the subway. Clean and cozy.
the location is near to subway Line1,2 & 3 7eleven is open 24/7 reception staff is friendly. called a week earlier to request for twin bed instead of bunk bed and they allocated us next to the bathroom, which is an advantage as we get to know when is the bathroom available.
only one bathroom (including toilet) per floor. we need to go to the floor below us to get spare bathroom. heater is very noisy, couldn't sleep well during the first night, but get used to the noise after 2nd night
I stayed at the Royal Park for 4 nights in a single room with shared bathroom. After reading the reviews I was apprehensive, however the room was clean and decent. It is very small, but who cares, its New York! The bathroom was fine, I only had to wait once for it. Considering the price I paid, it is good value.
The bathroom ran out of toilet paper, it wasn't replaced until the next day. Don't expect ANY help with your bags. I don't expect the staff to carry them for me, however they merely stood by and watched as I battled to get my bags through the door. Common courtesy would be to hold the door open.
good location soft bed
wierd smell. it was terrible
There was always someone at the front desk and they were always really friendly and helpful. They listened to my requests when I was sick.
It was a little rough around the edges, but not much more than you would come to expect from a hotel/hostel. Some of the guests and cleaning crew were loudly yelling during sleeping hours and the closed door between us didn't muffle it much, so just be aware of that if you like your beauty rest.
Got in only to realise we had to share the loos. Needed to upgrade. Staff not very helpful. Not making eye contact. Elevator dirty. Room very hot. Def not vfm!!!
Location near to train station, market very close, excellent service
Room floor feels like not leveled
The location is the only thing this hotel has going for it. It's close to Central Park and the nearest subway station is a block away. The staff is all right. On our first night, the 2-person bedroom with shared bathroom we had booked wasn't available yet, so they upgraded us to a nicer room (but even there the bathroom housed some cockroach friends) .
It's just not very clean. One of the beds in our room had orange colored stains on it and we saw cockroaches in the bathrooms on multiple occasions (not in the bedroom fortunately). There are only two bathrooms on each floor that have a shower and toilet. Each floor has about 16 rooms that could potentially hold 4 people per room. Do the math while you're waiting to have a shower. The double beds were small and not very comfortable, although roomservice did give us some extra pillows. Honestly, you'll do yourself a favor if you spend a bit more on a nicer place.
Close to subway and excellent value.
Loved the hotel we did a private room not the shared bathrooms, it was definitely a great value for the money and I would absolutely stay there again in New York.
When we checked into the room it was very cold and we had to call the desk to get the heat turned on because it is all connected it's not adjustable in every room
Location is good, staff are approachable, bed are comfy and decoration is modern.
Heater take a long time to turn on so be prepared to wait for 5-10mins with icy cold shower, bedsheet have some stain not being removed, need to do maintenance for some of the furniture and probably vacuum all the carpeted floor as we saw a couple of debris at the corners and main walkway
Location is nice
Hotel is run down. But cheap if you want to visit New York
Employ is pretty nice
Wifi connection is bad and the room compare with price is not so good
Please guys this hotel is not worth of $100 night no facilities nothing is good about don't west your money
Good location, pleasant staff, relatively cheap too. Cant complain. Everything was clean and fresh
I git swapped rooms after a day so i was disapointed i lost two double beds for a bunk bed but thats all.
Location Availability Privacy
Really old building not enough maintenance.
Charged us wrong for a big bus tour - but recieved a refund :)
- one guy from staff is cool -
- cockroaches everywhere - Dust everywhere - Expensive - 2 bathroom per floor - cold in the winter
The royal park hotel and hostel has a good location. It takes about 5 min to the time square if you take the subway which is 2 min away from the hotel. Our expectations were very low since the price per night was very low. Overall the hotel was clean and the stuff nice.
The room was cold and I asked them to fix the heater, they din't care at all for 3 days. The only good guy was the one of housekeeping who finally came to fix it
Wifi worked fine and localization one block from a metro but dont expect not even a ghost on the streets past 10pm.
I stayed for 7 nights. The first 4 i had to face a so small room, so much hair on the pillows, a room with no heating but a small mobile and weak one, a small couple bed and a so weak shower that was almost impossible to wash a men´s hair. After complaining too much they changed me to a better room. So if they send you to a horrible room like this, COMPLAIN! They sure have something better. Talking about the hotel itself, is smelly, old and a thilthy carpet everywhere. Not like the photos at all.
Location next to the central park (2min),
Hair in the bed, dirty restroom, shared restroom okay but about 15-20 people for one room with a toilet and a shower and a sink is to less. Staff went in the shower, we had to wait about 25min to check in. Never again.
