Location next to the central park (2min),
Hair in the bed, dirty restroom, shared restroom okay but about 15-20 people for one room with a toilet and a shower and a sink is to less. Staff went in the shower, we had to wait about 25min to check in. Never again.
The location is great and the free wi-fi was very reliable.
We stayed at the Royal Park Hotel & Hostel twice. During the first stay our rooms were very small with insufficient space for our luggage. The power outlets didn't make good contact with our power adapters. During our second stay we had a luxury room which was great.
Located close to subway, comfortable room but needed more toilets in corridor.
WiFi was unacceptable slow.
This hotel was in a good location close to the subway but a fair distance from midtown. Room was clean and comfortable but very dark as it faced into an alley way. If all you want is a comfortable place to lay your head for a fair price then the Royal Park is a good option.
Wifi in rooms is poor and you have to renter password every time you connect.
Price and location.
Bed was small. Room was slanted with a funky smell. That kind of old carpet mixed with petrol.
Relatively reasonable price for Manhattan, helpful staff and good location on the Upper West Side.
More of a hostel than a hotel, lobby and corridors could do with a bit of TLC. Rattling pipes in my room were a problem. Shared bathrooms v small but okay.
Location was great and the area was safe and I felt safe. The bed was comfortable and wifi was great.
I felt it didn't live up to what the pictures showed on the Internet for the room I paid for. However in saying that it was the accommodation I could afford and it was comfortable.
Staff very helpful good location
some of the bed linen / towels need disposing of - very badly stained
Clean well appointed room. Clean and modern barhroomsnd shower
No temperature control in room other than old fashioned radiator. Extremely noisy hallway
Good price Good location Nice Staff Free Wifi
Hotel was outdated
The location to the subway was a major plus point , especially in the cold freezing temperature
The heater in the room was not working . We had to fix the portable heaters . There was also no telephone in the room so it was very inconvenient . Otherwise the amenities were basic for a few night's stay
Very good location close to subway line 1; Stable and fast WiFi connection; Simple but clean shared bathroom
Very small room with stacked beds in cheapest category of double bed room; Bad heating cooling devices in room; Leaky windows
The Internet worked fine, the staff was helpful and nice and the location is very good, really close to Central Park and a subway station. You can reach lower Manhattan in 30-40 minutes.
The double room I got was very small. It was hard to move around as the bed occupied a big part of the room. Also, it was very cold in the room, but the staff was helpful enough to provide us with an extra heater. Although the room and the bathroom seemed clean, I saw a cockroach in the room..
Our money was refunded
We turned up to the hotel with 3 people (which we booked for). We booked a room with 2 double beds and a bathroom. When we got there, we were put into a room with one double bed and we had to share a bathroom. We then complained, saying this is not what we booked. We were then put into a different room, where we had our own bathroom, but again one double bed and we were told they would give a a fold out bed for free. We then showed them the reservation photo and description which clearly stated we would have 2 double beds and our own bathroom. We were told that room was taken for tonight, but we could have it on our second night. We said that was not acceptable and we would like a refund, which the staff member did then without hesitation.Very disappointing!
room is very old, shabby, basic like in Hostel but they do not think it is a Hostel
The location is not bad, is far from everything but is a nice neighborhood, close to Central Park and metro. WiFi included in room rate.
We booked a double room with 2 double beds and a private bathroom, at our arrival they asked us if we want to upgrade our room for 25$ to one with a private bathroom, I've told them that we already have one and they star speaking in Spanish between them, very rude, and agree that it was a misunderstanding. The room was nothing like the pictures, old furniture, small, bathroom needs serious upgrade, not comfortable.
Nothing at all
I couldn't control the heat it was very very uncomfortable at night. When the cleaning or house keeping staff it is very noisy. The window do not open I so how understand no air conditioner!!!!!
Value for money, location.
A little bit messy, very old interior
Room temperature was too hot Bathroom towels were dirty When the check out there was nobody at the counter we wait almost 20 minutes
Reality is different from the photos on website. Small rooms and dimly lit.
location. confort. prive
Location-very close to subway station, bus station Friendly and helpful staff
No bedbugs, simple but clean. Just a bed and some walls. Nearby metrostation. Perfect for some students!
If you want more than this you should sleep at a more expensive hotel.
Location is perfect. Close to subway and bus station
Stuff was slow. Bugs in the rooms. One restroom for all flor
At least the only thing that works was the Wi-Fi.
We are 4 friends, and are studying so we thought to take a cheaper Hotel. But this accomodation was awful. We are just staying for about an hour to book another Hotel. To stay at this Hotel was impossible we felt so unsafe in there. The shared bathroom on our unit was disgusting. I would never ever go back to this hotel!!
