+ Comfortable Mattress + Double Bed Room Available + Clean linen (daily) + Bath and Shower + 24hr reception + Nice location + Near Central Park + 96th Street express subway stop
Although there was nothing in particular I disapproved of, it is worth knowing the following. - The hotel definately has a hostel feel and the decor is a little tired in places. - The bathroom is shared between several rooms, and the bath doesn't have a plug. Bring / buy your own plug if you wish to use the bath. - The shower was very weak, so I preferred using the bath
Great location, close to subway. Nice reception staff.
Cockroaches in the bathroom. One bathroom and one toilet to share with the entire floor. The plastic packaging material on the mattress! Slow wi-fi.
We had a private room with shared bathroom Shared bathrooms clean and always available Bed sheets clean and changed daily Friendly staff Starbucks within 2 mins Good wifi connection V close to Subway which was about 15 mins to Times Sq Safe neighbourhood. Very local, not so touristy Good fast subway line into town 24/7
Rooms are v v basic, just a bed and temporary wardrobe Our room was freshly painted but some had v old and tired decors As long as you don't expert any luxuries at all and are purely looking for a cheapish bed in NYC to literally just sleep in it's a good choice
staff were always extremely helpful, and next to a subway station.
1 bathroom between 8 rooms, for the amount it cost per night we struggled to fit our suitcases in the room. Showers were also cold.
Staff was very cheerful and nice. I did like all about this hotel.
Location near Central Park
The size of the room compared to the price for it (ok it's New York but...). They couldn't make a bathroom tiniest! You have to pay for your luggages when you want the front desk to keep them (the day you leave)
Location was perfect
Everything feeling dirty
not clean, very noisy environment as lots of young travelers came for party
Staff was kind and approachable at all times to talk too.Wi-Fi system work well. Clean and comfort beds every night with great service from the housekeepers. Location was good as it was very close to a City bus, Subway station and a 7Eleven corner store.
Did not like the fact and idea of shared bathrooms. Wish they had a free phone at the desk to call back home instead of having to buy a phone card and using a payphone in order to make long-distance calls. Wish i had 1 room the whole stay and not have to switch and pay extra for another room.
The location was great for the price
When we came to do check in on the first day, they send us to another hotel saying that they had some kind of electrical problem, and we had to move back to this hotel next day. It was a bit of inconvenience.
Staff booked our transport to the airport which was helpful. It was fairly cheap. Clean bedroom.
The bathrooms were dirty. The room was so small we could barely fit our cases in the room. Poor location: The location was okay but I wouldn't stay that far away from the main NYC sights again. It was fairly cheap but too expensive for what it was. When the airport shuttle didn't turn up, we couldn't get in contact with the staff because he had left reception. I would not recommend this place.
The location is really good. A nice hostel to stay with a couple of friends for 4-5 days
A few rooms are looking bigger on the pictures than it actually is.
The hotel was very clean and quiet.
They could use more than one bathroom per floor. Maybe an extra toilet room. The toilet and shower are in the same room. Maybe they could be seperate.
We dont like anything. It was the poor quality and the worst experience for our family, we think that we lost the money because the hotel was disgusting for us. We are not backpacker, we look for the best quality and comfortable stay, so we want our money back because we are disappointed. We refuse any other solution, we request our money back because we feel robbed.

For the price we pay to stay in NYC of course is good.
Waiting for hot water.
The staff was very nice and helpful for everything, from upgrading us from a tiny closet room with bunk beds to a full-size room with bathroom (thanks!...), to giving various information, to booking our airport shuttle. Room and bathroom always well cleaned daily. Very convenient location near subway station on the main line 1, Wallgreens, cafes and restaurants.
Even knowing we were getting a small room with bunk beds, that room was really too small and the hot and humid weather made it really uncomfortable. Sharing a bathroom was not an issue because it was cleaned every morning. We were very happy to move to a more comfortable room at no extra cost.
Perfect location. Clean, big room and bathroom.
The location is very convenient
Its too expensive for the quality of facilities they have
- location is moreless ok
- do not believe in photos, the real situation and conditions are really worse! - really dirty - no conditioner - no bath in room - bugs at the restroom - value vs money - we asked to call a taxi to nearby town where we ordered a car at Avis - it was late by 40 minutes and it was not an official taxi, but some their folk plus the price was more than usual (75 usd, while it should be not more than 50)
room photos shown are good, but the room given to us was not the same as the photo I saw
2 min walk from 96th station (subway 1,2,3) 10 min away in subway from times square 10 min walk from Central Park Clean room, really nice staff
Close to subway and museums. Can save money by parking on the street if you decipher the street signs.
10 Cockroaches in one day, bedding unchanged, toilet dirty and usually shared no matter what they offer at reservation site, no towels, no light in a room, no working sockets, bugs in bed and roaches on walls in blankets, 10 year uncleaned windows, I can keep going forewer. Extra charge 10$ per bag for leaving your stuff during a day at the day check out When you check in the smell of dirt coming from oustside the hotel you just do not want to get , but if you finally come you find they said your reserevation did not go through and you have to pay extra if you want to go ahead. But all these fraudulent tricks look really colorless on the background of the collapsing room quality. I can just say stay away. I can only say , I would not let even my dog stay in such waste bin which even is good word for this hole
Close to metro stop. Easy to get to anything on the west side.
Shared bathroom was ok not the greatest not the worst. Charge for leaving bags with them in the morning.
