It is located on the upper west side. Just a few blocks from Central Park and an easy walk to the subway and buses. Also a lot of options for affordable dining. The room was clean, the water was hot and the bed was comfortable.
Staff did not have much information about attractions or things to do.
The staff was great, except for towel coverage, the place was run down but for the price it was good. We ended up having to stay another night and the staff was very accommodating.
Seen a couple of small roaches, but the staff took care of it right away.
bedding poor but clean room smelly restroom shared with other room occupants
Frank is very helpful and kind we found him a pleasure to deal with.
The carpets were being replaced on the floor directly above ours. We were tired from travelling and could not sleep during the day as the banging and noise were extremely bad. This was very frustrating. The room was smaller than expected but very clean.
noise, shared bathroom (just 2 for 10 rooms)
I like the bathroom decor.
There's two bed in the room where you could just have one bed and have plenty of space.
only 2bed...nothing else.so its not a hotel.just a hostel.stuff is kinda nice.very near from station.
It was close to public transport, restaurants , shops etc.
Location is great, just 3 stops on the express line 2 to times square and the subway is a 2min walk from the hotel. Very nice beds and clean rooms.
Could do with a bigger and uldated bathroom.
The room was so small. The elevator was so old and slow. The key of the room was unsafe. The room's door even does not have a handle. The sheets were dirty. There was no shampoo in the bathroom.
We paid for one night [for a room with bath] at the time of booking. On arrival at the hotel, we were told that our room was under repair, that we could have a room without bath for the night, and be assigned one with bath for the following night. Reluctantly, we accepted, and agreed to take it and be refunded the difference in price. The following day we went sightseeing and returned around 5 pm to a new room. The bed was like a marshmallow [very soft and sagging mattress]. We asked for another room, and was told that one was not available. So we asked for another mattress, and were told that one would be provided while we went out for dinner. After dinner, on our return, we were told that another mattress had been placed on the bed. On inspection, this was not true; nothing had been changed. We asked that it be done soon so we could go to bed. After an hour, nothing had been done, so we packed up and walked out. We reported this to Booking.com, who have tried to obtain our refund from the first night. However, we have not yet received the refund. In addition, the public spaces [halls, lobby, entrance] were filthy. DO NOT STAY HERE!
small and uncomfortable bed,bad wifi, first day we came they put us in bunk bed room, even we made a reservation and paid for king size bed, room is about 2x3m,not enough space for couple and 2 luggage...wouldn't recomend...
They had a problem with some rooms, including our reservation, and we were moved to another hotel which name is Marrakech Hotel. We enjoyed our stay, was excellent, clean and comfortable.
Updated room, new bathroom, ceiling fan, air conditioner, friendly and helpful front desk staff, location. Great that it had wifi for free. We would stay there again.
Needs new carpet, expect an older building with a slow, small elevator. Don't expect lots of amenities...it is pretty much a decent place to sleep and bathe. You have to ask for towels at the front desk.
It was nothing like any traditional hotel Ive ever been to but it was ok. I like how close it was to the 96th street station, Broadway & food spots.
The room was way too small, the TV was tiny, I can honestly go on and on. It's not really a hotel more like a weird apartment building situation that operates like a hotel.
Only one block from subway, short walk to Broadway and Central Park, staff pretty good
Our room was the size of a shoebox which did not encourage you to spend any time there,
We've founded cockroaches in the room. Staff moved us into another room only after multiple complains. And cockroaches were in that room too.
Good location, beds and linen. Very friendly and helpfull staff and good internet. Everything you need from a hotel where your only need is to sleep 7 hours and keep going.
Shared bathroom, found a cockroach
Location, price, helpfull stuff.Free posibility for parking on the street.
This is a very big building.Functioning as a hotel, hostel and also you can rent rooms for longer period. So diffrent types.I think this is why we saw some bugs in our room.It was bad.But in 2,3 hours they changed our room in a much nicer room which was nicer. This is good.Owerall the rooms are not the some.
I founded one cockroach into the room. The water of shower was cool.
+ Comfortable Mattress + Double Bed Room Available + Clean linen (daily) + Bath and Shower + 24hr reception + Nice location + Near Central Park + 96th Street express subway stop
Although there was nothing in particular I disapproved of, it is worth knowing the following. - The hotel definately has a hostel feel and the decor is a little tired in places. - The bathroom is shared between several rooms, and the bath doesn't have a plug. Bring / buy your own plug if you wish to use the bath. - The shower was very weak, so I preferred using the bath
Great location, close to subway. Nice reception staff.
Cockroaches in the bathroom. One bathroom and one toilet to share with the entire floor. The plastic packaging material on the mattress! Slow wi-fi.
We had a private room with shared bathroom Shared bathrooms clean and always available Bed sheets clean and changed daily Friendly staff Starbucks within 2 mins Good wifi connection V close to Subway which was about 15 mins to Times Sq Safe neighbourhood. Very local, not so touristy Good fast subway line into town 24/7
Rooms are v v basic, just a bed and temporary wardrobe Our room was freshly painted but some had v old and tired decors As long as you don't expert any luxuries at all and are purely looking for a cheapish bed in NYC to literally just sleep in it's a good choice
Friendly staff, good Location, we had bathroom in room, so it was good.
staff were always extremely helpful, and next to a subway station.
1 bathroom between 8 rooms, for the amount it cost per night we struggled to fit our suitcases in the room. Showers were also cold.
