We loved it. I had some high expectations and they were met in every way and I was surprised at the relatively low cost. Thank you!

The Spacious room size, the ergonomic chair, the cleanliness, the friendly staff, the proximity to shopping mall, the restaurant. Only a shower, no tub in room. Can hear noises through the door so it could be quieter.

Room was nicely decorated and quiet. Staff was very nice. Well located right on river. We got a good price for a double room with a river view. Reasonably close to our kids college. Shuttle service on a schedule. We did not eat at the hotel.

Location is quite good. A mall is just on the opposite side of the road. Public transport is still within walking distance (10min). Room service did not clean the room one day. Instead, I found a "do not disturb" sign on my door which I didn't place there myself.

Royal Sonesta offers full service to its guests. They have valet parking, 2 restaurants on site, room service, indoor pool, business center, assistance with tours and luxury rooms. Our room had a view of the Charles River and there is a walking trail by the river right behind the hotel. The bathroom was very small and only offered a shower. The Italian restaurant, Dante's was very busy trying to impress you. I felt the food was overpriced and not really that good - we paid for the presentation.

It was the last minute decision to go to Boston for us. Royal Sonesta was the blessing for us to have for that decision. It has the great location right next to river trail, convenient mall across the street, Museum, and river cruise. Each morning, drinking a cup of coffee while looking down the river was such a sweet experience. We enjoyed Boston so much. We definitely stay there again if we visit Boston next time. I wish I got the room I expected in the first place. But, staffs were very accomodating and changed a room as I requested. After that, I was very satisfied.

Rooms with view over the river and Boston city are fantastic. Quiet and business-like neighbourhood, but still close to the city and Harvard. Superb pool and fitness. Mall is just across the street. Many art-objects everywhere in the hotel, but they seem te be placed just criss-cross without any theme or plan. Free wifi. During our stay there were free bikes and boat tours but we didn't use them. Restaurant Dante is expensive, extremely slow service and bad price/quality value. Persons at the reception and concierge desk were not too friendly, rather cool but correct.

The room had a great view of Boston across the river Point 1. We decided to have breakfast in the Art Bar on the 2nd morning we were there, this was at 9.45am when breakfast was served until 11.00am, However there was no scrambled eggs available and had to informed the staff of this a couple of times, the area where the food was was not tidy also the floor had food on it which had been walked in and no attempt had been made to clear it up. At our table outside that we were shown to, had bird dropping on them and had to ask for them to be cleaned. We decided to go to downtown Boston each morning after that for breakfast . Point 2, One of the reason why we booked was the swimming pool and sun terrace, we used the sun lounge area on the Thursday of our holiday which was a very nice , hot day and then when we asked about food & drink we were informed by the staff that no food or beverages were allowed on the terrace area !!!!! did not help it to be a relaxed area, never used that area again during the holiday. Point 3, We found that the hotel with its extensive art works which is a great feature of the hotel does not make it a friendly /comfortable hotel for a family holiday but more of a business hotel, felt like walking through an art gallary at times. Point 4. Upon checking out found that a mini bar cost and cost of bottles of waters on three different days had been charged to our our room when this was incorrect , these were credited back. Just make sure you check your bill upon departure !!!

Location was fantastic and I loved looking out at the water each morning and evening. I was upgraded to a larger bed and room when registering, which was greatly appreciated. We enjoyed shopping and eating at the Galleria and the close proximety of the Trolley Tour stop. The free shuttle service was also a bonus when it came to site seeing, I would come back and would recommend to friends. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Cambridge.

Great hotel, would highly recommend it. Great price and option if visiting Boston or Cambridge. Free ice-cream during the afternoon and free boat tour of the St-Charles river is a plus. Clean rooms, friendly service and good restaurant recommendations from the people at the front desk. Beautifully renovated - rooms have a modern look. Ideal location whether visiting Boston or Cambridge (shuttle tour bus stop across the street). Across the street from a shopping mall and many restaurants nearby - the front desk recommended The Friendly Toast for breakfast (10-15 minute walk) and it was delicious and a healthy breakfast option. Although I did not use the pool, I visited and it was very nice, towel service available. Great for families, business, young/older couples and families with children as well. Will definitely return.

The location of the hotel (close to Mass Transit, mall and a number of colleges/universities) was the best part of the hotel. The outdoor bar overlooking the Charles was fantastic. The summer days deal was awesome (boat ride on the Charles, free bike rental and ice cream). Room service was expensive but the quality of the food was good. Free wifi in the room was a plus as well. The room was very small although was well appointed. We didn't stay in the room all that much but if we had to it was tight for 2 people.
