The hotel is located in a very nice and central area.

Cleanliness was not satisfying. Bed linens were horribly dirty (hairs, stains,...) !!!. Staff friendly, but absolutely not professional. After a 7 hours flight, I had to help doing the room housekeeping to get my own bed ready for use, with clean linens. Unbelievable !!! Will never go there again.

Location

I really enjoyed the location. It was right in the middle of the action on Newbury street. Felt comfortable after a few days.

They have a problem with noise. Being that it is a converted brownstone, they are in an old building. The gaps below the doors allow a lot of sound from the hall into the rooms. In addition, if you have a room that could be opened into the next room, you can actually hear the person in the next room eating chips...I think I could hear that they were Doritos(that's how clear it is). I did like that they moved me to a more appropriate room, and jamming a number of towels beneath the door seemed to solve much of the issue, but they ought to look into new doors in order to save everyone the headache.

The hotel needs serious soundproofing. I was in my room but felt like i was in the lobby as I could hear every conversation, the door open and close, the telephone, the music staff was listening to, etc... How can someone possibly relax in this atmosphere. I told the manager and all he did was change the conversation. This hotel was a serious disappointment.

- Great location - relatively big rooms with microwave and refrigerator ( but no hair-dryer, no phone )

- There is no elevator and lot of stairs to the third floor - no lobby, just an old ugly front desk and nobody is there most of the time so u have to wait or call them on the phone - there was NO DOOR betweet the bedroom and bathroom!!! Only some ugly curtain. Thank God I stayed there just by myself. - dirty floor, please dont rather look under your bed... - lack of management - I could continue...but I think its enough, this hotel is definately NOT worthy of $260 per night, thats ridiculous! I guess $ 100 per night would be appropriate.

Great location and good room for the price. Everything was within walking distance.... I enjoyed my stay.

The staff were very young and I do not discriminate against age although the training for each individual staff was neglected significantly. Iarrived and there was no one to check me in although someone guided me to my room I then had to take it upon myself to check back in with the front desk to pay. I asked for a late check out and wasd told it was more than fine. Then I was woken several times stating there is no late check out I need to leave now. I was calm and tried to explain what I wasd told and the only response was well that girl was new. They shrugged me off. I would not return again.

This hotel was appalling for the money that was charged. Upon arrival (which by the way the taxi had no idea where this hotel was) we were informed there is no elevator. My husband and I are 60 and we were on the top floor. Probably 75 stairs! Incredible for $300 a nite. No cups to drink out of, a little bar of soap, a/c inefficient. Up and down stairs every time we went out. Carried suitcases down stairs upon leaving. How do you put this hotel on your site without informing people there are no elevators! Shame on you!

Amazing room - nothing cookie-cutter about this place. Our room was huge - two couches and a comfy king-sized bed.

Staff was not friendly. Room was basic,no clock,abutted an alley which was load all night long even when the windows were closed.Room was stuffy

The location was excellent, right on Dewbury Street-could not have been better. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was lucky to have the biggest room in the hotel, which was indeed very spacious.

Although I had the biggest room in the hotel on the 3rd floor, there is no elevator,so having to cart up the stairs my own heavy suitcase is no pleasant task. In addition, the room had an odour of humidity probably due to the hot temperatures Boston had been having.

Location was good for July 4th fireworks

A little pricey for what you got. No elevator. Rooms were very nice except there is no door on the bathroom to seporate it from the bedroom. That was not convenient.

It was difficult to park in front while checking in. The bathroom was not very clean. Overall the hotel seemed to lack management. Informaton such as city maps very scarce.
