Bed was broken
Staff was very friendly and cooperative. Would highly recommend.
Cute cabins, historic
Not comfortable, cramped, expensive for what we got.
Another reviewer mentioned feeding deer from the back door. They were right! In the morning deer come around and are very curious/friendly, even to our 4 month old Collie. The facilities are great and the price is unbeatable in a town that has a hundred competing cabins. It is my second stay and I'll gladly go a third time. Otherwise staff is excellent and location is first thing into town on the north end. Quaint rustic cabins are great and heater is nice too.
The small cabinettes are duplex style but clean. Just don't flush the toilet while taking a shower because the water temperature changes!
Rustic cabin is ok but not luxury
I paid for luxury cabin and got a really small rustic cabin really really small. Go for the lesser price and probably get the same cabin. I paid 165 for luxury but there wasn't anything that even resembled luxury. The bathroom door had a broken hook (no door knob) so no privacy in a super small cabin
Location and privacy
Located conveniently between convention center and main retail district. Log cabin with woodburning fireplace, lots of deer around, kitchenette well-equipped. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Gas wall-furnace leaked gas; kitchen stove a little too snug against wood wall. Needed a heavier blanket for cold nights.
Ten members of the family (who were in other cabins) made this Thanksgiving one we will always remember.
human hair in bathroom and in bed, fireplace did not vent properly and filled room with smoke, no screens in windows, room needs updating
cute, clean, warm and well decorated. GREAT value for money
Fed deer at our back of cabin
To much light shin in in bedroom
Quiet with lots of wildlife close by
The TV was smaller than my computer monitor.
Other guests were allowed to have outdoor party into the early morning hours. Could get no response when calling management
Rustic cabin; nice kitchen area
Cabin too close to roads were noisy. Not much space to sit outside for 4 people. Plumbing was touchy. Strange smell when entering cabin.
Very comfy and cozy felt like home away from home
There was nothing to dislike
There was sufficient hot water
Ants, spiders and spider webs. Leaky roof that ruined my husband's medication before discovered. Traffic noise. Dirty table and chairs. Too few plug in recepticles, especially in kitchen. No closets or hooks, to hang anything up.
Loud , lot's of little bug's in the cabin sofas were a little dirty . Overall I don't think I will go back .
Loved the staff and the cabins.
Well-located in Ruidoso, wildlife (deer) wandering between the cabins, cabin architecture is rustic and cute. Accomodations were adequate and wish we had more time to spend getting to know Ruidoso - seems like a great destination for a group trip or ski getaway.
Bedroom very small (unable to walk around the edge of the bed and had to "climb over" each other to get in and out), cabins located very close to each other (could hear the campers in the next cabin...awkward). Difficult to find our cabin in the dark (we drove around the property a couple times upon arrival).
Not what it show to be on the intranet
we stayed in cabin #24, my kids love it. kitchen and facilities very clean
The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well furnished and also very clean.
The only thing I did not care for was the location of my cabin. It was right next to the highway and the traffic was way to noisy.
We enjoyed the location, appearance, the staff was great! Can't wait to go back!!!
The bed was comfotable. The porch was nice though a touch small and we used our own more comfortable chairs. Grill worked well though there were no grilling tools. Staff was very helpful.
We paid for a one bedroom luxury cottage. It was too small. Less than two feet of space on the sides of the bed and the foot of the bed was so close to the wall that you had to climb over the bed. One small table and lamp, a two foot shelf with a rod underneath it for a closet. No room for a dresser. The bedroom was too small for a door which defeated the purpose of having a bedroom. The living area had an old sleeper sofa; big enough for two people, not comfortable. There was a trunk for a coffee table. Kitchen area had two foot round table and two metal chairs. No other furniture. Food stayed in boxes and clothes in suitcases. Fridge, stove, and sink small. No hairdryer, iron, blender,or toaster. We had a friend rent a 3 bedroom condo with a pool for less money than we paid. The cabin was a very poor value for the money.
Bed broke on the first night. Shower head needed cleaning only a slight stream of water. Staff always leaving the office so you could not get ahold of anyone.
