I have been visiting Montauk my entire life and will continue. Now my grown kids come on their own. A fishing/beach town that has amped up its game..boutiques, 4 star chefs, great lodging. But at the end of the day it is the beach. If you stay in a hotel on the beach side, town is right there & you dont need to ever move your car till you go home! Grab a coffee from the Bake Shoppe, and a wrap from Joni's..wander over and spend the day in the sand & surf. Shop at Land Shark for you sweatshirts or Kai Kai for flip flops, blankets & Ray Bans, head over to Duryea for sunsets & the best salads & lobster dinners..end the night with mini golf & ice cream at John's Drive in. Writing this makes me want to jump in the car and head back there.

Montauk is great. A Wave Inn not great.
Montauk is great. A Wave Inn not great. The rooms while clean are for husband and wife used to sleeping in a tiny Hard bed and 1 kid. I was with my 2 older sons, none of whom wanted to sleep close to each other or me in a tight bed. Therefore I ended up sleeping in the car. Also, to make sure they make up for unsold rooms they have some undesirable tenants living on premises. There is no way to get in tough with anyone who works there after 6 or so. If you have a problem you are on your own. I wouldnt go back there if the room was free.

Motel ran out of pool towels and coffee pods. We had a view of pool and could see the sound too. 👍 Our neighbors were fighting and very loud. Had to drive into town. Nothing walking distance. Ate at the Inlet, one of my favorite places!

We have been going to Montauk for 50 years and this is the first time we have seen so many small shops and restaurants near Gosman’s dock closed. When we asked a local fisherman on the dock what has happened to the businesses he said that the town has gone down. Famous Salivars restaurant is now only open on the weekends etc…
We went to John’s Pancakes for breakfast and it was empty. Anthony’s across the street was packed??

end of October is very quiet, the ocean is my first need with ocean breeze
three days at the Royal Atlantic and I am 10 years younger
I feel more relax and ready for the sirens of New York city again !
The shuttle bus from East Hampton to Montauk is only 75cts !
I went to the Harbor and the Docks...to eat plenty of mussels.
Lovely
The property was located at the north end of lake Montauk and my room had a view of the LI sound as it was one of the FEW corner unit with a common balcony. The hotel did have a heated pool that i didn't have a chance to use given the day trips we took. The hotel is located near Grossmans shopping and restaurants - and fishing / boats to Block Island - both of which have LARGE parking lots if you don't stay close by. So no need to really stay in the area.
Perfect location in the middle of town, walking distance to everything and right on the beach. The pool was perfectly clean and HEATED!! It was a chilly day and we were still able to enjoy the pool. The bed was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve slept in. Thick memory foam, no springs, so comfy. Loved how there were tons of chairs and tables outside for guests. Really nice staff too. Pleasantly surprised by a lot of things here!
The location was awesome. King size room, upper deck, ocean front room. The best Grucci fireworks on the beach. We made a bon fire right there on the beach. The staff here are truly what make this hotel what it is. Super clean, friendly, helpful. The location right in the heart of the town, walking distance to shops, breakfast. Uff I can go on and on. We will be back next year. July 4th 2022 a vacation to remember.
Extremely over priced for the room we had and the service provided by the staff was very slow. Everything we ordered in the hotel took ages to come including breakfast both mornings when there were very few people in the restaurant. We stay in quite a lot of hotels in Europe for business and pleasure and this hotel did not meet the standard we generally expect for the prices we paid.
Price is always on point. One of the most decently priced hotels out in montauk that still has a pool. My husband and I always stay at Kenny’s, probably visit about 4-5 times a year. This summer we came with our new baby :). Staff is always wonderful, Carolena!! The hotel itself is pretty, covered in beautiful plants and flowers. Pool area was clean.
I had a beach front king size bed. had a balcony looking over the ocean. I loved the property, it was relaxed, offered anything you could want, but had a chill vibe compared to Gurneys. Not a "scene", not pretentious. Small enough to walk around, quiet, comfortable seating everywhere. Best place I've stayed in Montauk, will definitely return!
We had the best room since I started going to the Montauk Manor.
It overlooked the lake and the view from our balcony was amazing! Beautiful sunset.
I wish I could get this room all the time. The food in restaurant was delicious. The pool was great.
I would highly recommend the Montauk Manor.
It's a great location. Unfortunately the series of storms recently have eroded the beach area directly in front of the hotel. But it's only a block in either direction to access the beach to walk on the beach. The bathroom is very small but clean. the patio is a bit dated but comfortable.
Received amazing service from Maureen. She was welcoming and beyond wonderful!! Thank you so much! Will plan to go back to the hotel when visiting Montauk again !
The property is so clean. The hotel ground is serene and secluded. I had the best sleep ever living in a hotel.
The hotel is soooo overpriced, it has almost reached absurd levels. I paid the same for a two person stay that I would have paid for four persons, they did not accommodate any changes in numbers of guests, even though I announced these changes two weeks before my arrival.
You can't beat the location. Oceanfront with chaises out on the community deck to soak up the ocean views. Access to pool and grills when in season. And within walking distance to the center of town as well as IGA.
I have stayed at many resorts and the hotel in Montauk for over twenty years. Here at the Haven, the combination of cleanliness and exceptional staff of everyone at any time was great!
