Score from 38 reviews Very good
Great value for the money. The rooms were clean and comfortable but on the rustic side. This Inn is older but nice. The landlady will make you a hearty breakfast for only $3.
If you expect a Motel 8 or alike you might be disappointed. It is not modern and it is rustic, like a hunter's cabin. Didn't bother me because everything was clean and comfortable.
Very helpful staff, went out of their way to insure I was comfortable. Nice little park right across the roadway. Reviews mention that this is an old-school roadside motel- yes, it is- and that is what we could use a lot more of in this country. Local, value, friendliness- not corporate approved doughnuts and weak coffee for $25 more a night.
tried to collect 10 more dollars than the rate was shown on the receipt showed. and I had an exterior door to my room slam open and shut from 1 to 4 o'clock in the morning. I had to get a patron from next door place a garbage can against the door to keep it shut. no rest.
I liked the breakfast served in the morning.
Walt and Barbara are exceelent hosts and try to accomodate your needs. They are friendly during your interactions. She remembers us from one year to the next.
the first night, we had a room with a kitchenette and two beds, small eating area, etc. - great room, bed was comfy, we were very happy with this room! The managers were great and friendly, very accommodating. both rooms were very clean.
second night, we had to move to another room as the other had already been reserved. VERY tiny room and bath, barely room to get around, floor felt like it was on a slant, TV reception was poor, all in all, if I had to stay in this room alone, would not recommend the hotel. The bed in the second night's room was very squeaky and not as comfortable as the one in the first room.
Loved the owners and staffs hospitality. Clean rooms with a home cooked breakfast for $3. My wife and I loved the theme idea for each room. We stayed in the raccoon room and would go back again to try another theme room. Something cute and different and a good deal for the money.
TV reception could have been better but not a big deal.
Comfy bed and cute decor.
No coffee maker in room.
We love little mom and pop motels like this one. Clean and comfortable. Parking right outside your door. Great breakfast for a small extra charge. Owners are very sweet and helpful.
WiFi spotty; fine for email, wouldn't be good enough for working. Parking lot pretty soupy after rainstorm, but navigable.
The staff was especially friendly while i was making the reservations and when we got there. It was a nice homey motel with interesting rooms as the rooms were based on an animal theme of the area. We stayed the the Moose Room. Breakfast was great for the price. Nice king size bed and also had a microwave and refrigerator. Was a great area and a beautiful ride getting to Salmon.
Nothing. It was great especially for the cost.
Reminds me of roadside motels of my youth. Definitely a 1950's era motel, but extremely clean and comfortable. Bathroom was tiny, but for $50 I could live with tiny. Loved the unique decor.
Tiny bathroom and shower
The staff was outstanding, the facilities were very nice, the $3.00 breakfast was unexpected, but good and filling, and the cost very reasonable. The location was right on the highway and close to downtown. The whole experience reminded me of traveling with my folks in the old days (mid-'50s) an all together enjoyable stay.
The people were very friendly and nice. The incredibly cheap breakfast was very good. The room was very clean and decent.
Strong smell of air freshener when we first entered room. Opened windows and it was fine.
Would totally recommend this place! Very friendly staff (like family), comfortable, clean and very affordable!!! The $3 breakfast was an amazing addition and worth more than the price!
Shower size was a bit limited but not a problem. Actually made me laugh.
Easy stroll into Salmon centre. Great countryside all around. Breakfast available at extra. Nice open central area with firepit.
Fairly small room - especially with bike gear.
very friendly staff good cooked breakfast (although an extra $3)
Great price, excellent breakfast for a very reasonable price. Close to town
Even though a bit dated in time, its room was confortable, good nights rest, great price, excellent customer service. $3 great breakfast cooked to order!
The staff was awesome. The breakfast amazing and the beds were so comfy!
Very friendly and excellent for the money. Great breakfast to go with our pleasant stay.
This a great place to stay. Staff are nice. Room clean.
The staff was very friendly and even offered clean towels to wipe down my motorcycle when I arrived after a rain storm. We stayed a little later the next morning to avoid rain storms in the direction we were going and the staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs to do this. Very happy about that! Also to have a fresh cooked breakfast to start the day was very nice.
The rooms are charming but could use a little repair along the edges and some updating.
Great little hotel, family owned, made you feel like family the moment you checked. I hope I have a reason to go.
can't think of a thing
This is an older motel that has been done up in local themes. Each room has it's own mural and all the room accessories match. Fun and charming. This isn't new or he Ritz but it more than makes up for it in character. The staff is great and serves a home cooked breakfast the way you want it for 3.00. If you are looking for a unique slice of the west, this is your place.
