Exit 5 Motel & Cottages

Nothing, except the location. The heat did not work in the room and I was asked if I would use an electric heater. Toilet paper holder was pulled off the wall and lying on the back of the toilet. I should have known-you get what you pay for!

Very friendly, 1st place I have stayed with free nationwide and canada calls. It made stay more enjoyable and easyto contact friends, family and business contacts. It was also with in 2 miles of the event we went to attend

It is slightly out of date, the kitchen equipment was passable, but not brilliant. The towels were a little less than white I some cases.

Not up to our standards.

Despite being stated on their website, they do not clean rooms everyday. I witnessed a housekeeper clean the adjacent room with her cell phone stuck to her ear, no wonder they forget to clean rooms!!! A good manager would check up on employees to see how and if they are working . Despite this place having some positive traits (indoor pool, a pond with waterfall, swings for kids...), the negatives outweigh the benefits. Furthermore, a good manager would try to remedy a patrons complaint instead of trying to find excuses for their staff's poor work ethics. Because of this, I would skip staying here and would recommend the same from other travellers.

location- the kitchnette in the room. I was fully aware of the negative comments made on this motel and I went anyway because it was a last minute vacation. My hopes where not very high for starters. It wasn't that bad. It's old but clean. An effort was made to patch the holes in the wall and parts of the walls where painted recently. (there was a paint smell in the room when we arrived but it didn't last.)

This motel is nothing but luxurious. It is Ok, if you only need to sleep. The price was high for the quality of the room, but I understand that it is in high season.

The owners were absolutely phenomenal -- very friendly and helpful whenever we needed something. They really went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. The location is also great; it is not on the sea but is only a 5-min drive to the beaches of Ocean Park and Old Orchard Beach.

was traveling with my grandson (3) and the playground was good for him and the pool area seemed fairly clean.

the room was tiny and a very small table with two chairs can hardly be called a dining area. will look harder for someplace to stay next time i'm in the area

We choose it because it was inexpensive compared to the places closer to the beach. We were really just passing through for one night. The manager was very nice and helpful. This could be a very nice place to stay with some major updating.

The entire property needs updating and cleaning up. The room was a little shabby. There were broken plastic chairs on the deck by the pool. The laundry room was very dirty.

We loved having the porch to sit and relax. We also liked being so close to the beach.

We were not given clean towels and had to ask for some, we also ran out of toilet paper and had to have them bring some to us.

The exterior looks great but the interior is a diferent story. No towel racks in bathroom, no hooks to hang cloths on in bathroom. Screw holes in walls that need to be repaired. Overall maintenence needs to be done. Could be a real nice place if someone took the time to do maintenence. Each room should be redone over a period of time. The place needs a plan.

Pool was not heated as described

Close to shopping malls, not too fat from beach and/or water park about 5 min drive to either one. Nice rooms although they can use a little renovations. Nice staff very friendly. Indoor pool should be opened longer. It closes at 9.

Location and price.

Room had an order, baseboard heating unit were rusty, no easy chair to sit in, not enough counter space, rugs need to be changed.
