Facility bed bathroom. No soap
I must say I was very impressed the moment I stepped in-- it felt like home and I had everything I needed there.. Even a can opener ! You can't beat what you get for the money.. WAY BETTER than a hotel with excellent value.. I will definitely be back.. Thank you!
This is an apt. Complex and the room is literally an apt. Fully furnished, quiet and very comfortable
The person who lets you into the room is off site. Make sure you call when you are on your way! There was heavy traffic at the time I arrived and had to wait an hour for the manager to show up and let me in.
We did not feel safe and the accommodations didn't look like the pictures online. The pillows didn't have covers on them so you could see the ticking through the pillow cases. There were no pictures on the walls and it looked like a half way house. The door frame to the front door looked like it had been kicked in at one point. Neighbors were sketchy as well. Avoid at all cost!
Had everything we needed inside the large gated community. The residents were friendly and the staff were nice! Washer and dryer (plus detergent) was included!!!
Beds were basic. Couch was worn.
The view was wonderful, and so restful. That made anything that may have been negative unimportant..
Internet access in my condo was very slow, so I really couldn't use it. I had to use computer / internet access at the Doubletree where I was attending a conference. Not all of the lights appeared to work. There were light switches that did nothing. There was no light over the dining table, however the fan worked.
Kitchen facilities. Everything was there. Outside surroundings were beautiful. Close distanse to restaurants.
To far to buy grocery. We have to drive a few miles. Nothing in walking distance. Also old downtown is very close, but you can't walk because of very busy highway.
This was our first time booking with Sacramento Guest Services. They were very pleasant and the location was perfect. Will definitely consider them again in the future!!
Wow, for the price you can't beat this location. It was less than a hotel room and we got: 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a full kitchen and a living area. We had family over for an afternoon it it worked out great. They have 2 pools and even have paddle boats you can borrow to cruise around the "lake".
The only thing I would say it that it was a little noise because it was a corner unit at the intersection of 2 streets. I slept fine but my wife is a light sleeper and bothered her a little. Overall, we will definitely use this again.
Loved the location and spacious rooms. The wifi, the laundry facilities in room, the kitchen and overall value.
Too many cobwebs, we also had an ant invasion and the comforter was not exactly clean (we washed them again), the bed mattress/foundation were VERY dated and could use some upgrading. The mattress sunk in and the mattress could have been a king size for the room.
The location and the staff were great and everything you can think of was in the flat. So comfortable and spotless.
Nothing everything was Great. If we return to this area we would for sure book again
I liked that it fit all 6 of us comfortable and there was two bathrooms. Great place would stay there again.
It needed more condiments like salt and pepper and maybe some coffee. It would be nice if it was a little closer to down town.
This was a great venue at a great price We chose this venue instead of napa although it is 1 hour away. We preferred to stay here for 7 days rather than be constantly on the move. great kitchen, good to have washing facilities and the pool was so relaxing.
It was easy to book. We had everything we wanted. Simple short trip to Sacramento River, dining, activities. Swimming, fitness room, park like surroundings with beautiful trees and fountains. I loved the full kitchen with options to cook and washer/dryer was unexpected bonus!!
would have liked a later check out. Cleaning staff was waiting outside the door at check out time.
Our flight was delayed but Ed worked with us to make sure we could still get into the complex even at 2:30am. Exceptional customer service!
Nice full kitchen, well equipped. Convenient to Old Sacramento.
Could have had a bigger TV in the living room.
Being in California for work, this was a fantastic place to stay! Being fully self-contained with kitchen, washing etc was a great addition to these apartments. Gym and pool on site and easy access to great restaurants in Sacramento was perfect for a relaxing stay. Highly recommend to anyone for holiday or work.
It felt like home away from home. We felt completely comfortable there. Love the atmosphere. The quietness. The amenities such as the kitchen, living room and laundry room in the apartment. It seriously felt like a vacation home away from home. I would totally book my next stay there if ever traveling back to Sacramento.
clean, perfectly adequate rooms. Pool was convenient. Manager was available for questions or problems.
Some confusion over getting Wi-Fi going. Password was incorrect on information sheet, which seems odd if the property had been rented regularly.
The apartment was a home away from home. Perfect place for families as there are swimming pools, ponds with ducks, and everything close by (grocery, gas, restaurants, etc.)
The apartment was roomy and quiet.
This place had much higher ratings than I thought it deserved. Our apartment looked like it was in the process of possibly being redone. The surface of the apartment was clean but the carpet was filthy and smelled, probably from old kitchen odors. Nails were showing in the walls. There were hardly any decorations to liven the place up even though decorations were shown in the advertisement. The bedding was poor with nothing over the box springs. The shower door in the master bath didn't slide and the other was hard to open. It is very unlikely that we will ever stay there again since it was so misrepresented in the advertisements..
This was my second stay in less than a month. I like the setting and the location. This Condo had more in terms of supplies (salt/pepper) laundry soap etc. It has a washer and dryer which is very convenient for someone who has been travelling for some time. The air conditioning was excellent and the location is handy to the Sacramento Airport and driving to San Francisco. It was clean and the living & dining room furniture was modern & comfortable.
I feel it I must give a low rating for this stay. There is major construction occurring in this complex. It is noisy and worse my access (& the cleaner's) to & from my upstairs Condo was essentially blocked and the terrace unavailable from 8am-3pm on two separate days. The porch between the door and the stairs and the entire terrace were being resurfaced. Eventually I was told if I needed to get out they would lay down a hastily built & fragile looking wooden pallet to get across the porch. This looked only workable or desirable if you needed to get out in an emergency. The Manager of Sacramento Guest Surfaces offered me a 50% discount for that day and I accepted as I thought it was a 'one-off situation' but the workers returned promptly at 8am the next work day to repeat the process again. The discussion with Manager Mr Rojas the second time was not as agreeable. On the 6th & last day of my stay I planned to have my family visit before flying back to NZ the next morning. The water went off due to a construction accident. Some hours later with no water I had to cancel my family plans and instead find a hotel at short notice where I could spend the night. The resurfacing work was not an act of God, it was scheduled and lack of water quickly became a sanitary issue. Clearly Sacramento Guest Services did not know about the scheduled work and apparently given wildly inaccurate information about the length of time the water would be unavailable but the dispute was between them and the management of the complex not me. In the end I was given a 50% discount on the cost for the two days of porch resurfacing and a full day refund as compensation me for the lack of water. I would not recommend staying at the Harbor Oaks Complex booked through Sacramento Guest Services until the major construction is completed and it appears that will be many months if not longer.
The lake, the geese, and the ducks. The enclosed closed community, l felt safe when going for walks in a city that I didn't know. The beauty of the swimming pool area.
The noise and the clutter of the ongoing construction work.
Sheets were old
Everything! If you're looking for a home away from home, this is the place. Lots of space (we had living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, balcony, storagespace), nice bed and duvets (loved the fresh smell of the sheets and towels), well working wifi connection, washing machine and dryer with detergent etc available, clean and safe gated community with nice pond, own parking space, close to the highway but not so close that you would hear noise from the highway, friendly staff that is very accommodating (we arrived late, but we let them know in advance; they contacted us and we could check in late).
Nothing! I write tons of reviews on booking.com and I don't think I have ever been more pleased, considering price/value. If you have problems with walking stairs (only to level 2), you might want to mention it to the owner; maybe they have apartments at floor level 1?
