The Sainte Claire Hotel    

Historic hotel with lots of charm. Beautiful hand painted ceiling in the bathroom. Walking distance to HP Pavilion and downtown restaurants.

I was in town to attend the production of "James and the Giant Peach" by pty in Los Altos. My nephew was one of the stars! I liked that I could stay for one night without having to pay million of dollars.

This probably no surprise to you folks, but parking is so expensive. $30 for one night, plus room was expensive. Oh, I really missed the coffee shop. What happened?

The Idea of staying at a very nice hotel.

I was very disappointed that I saw a price of $109 (3rd party booking Hotwire) for a one night stay at the hotel (4/12/13) and went to book it but the only thing that continue to come up was $119 for that night.

Fees for Convention center. $30.00 to park car for one night mid week was a rip off. I will stay elsewhere in the future. My room over looked a 1/4 full lot, at least 25 parking stall available.

The convenience and the charm of the decor.

The valet parking charge very steep. The room lacked comfort.....the comforter on the beds were extremely heavy and not necessarily warm just crushing. Ha We good hear the poeple in the next room...walls were pretty thin.

I enjoyed the service of the staff. They were all very friendly and welcoming. Check in and Check out was fast and easy.

I didn't like that our room was a bit dirty when we arrived. The coffee mugs had not been cleaned and the floors needed vacuuming. Our neighbors were very loud, they did not sleep at all during the night we stayed there and we could hear their every conversation. Therefore, we did not sleep comfortably. 150 for one night was also a bit ridiculous considering all I have mentioned.

The Victorian Decor was charming.

Only option for parking was valet parking.

A very nice hotel. I liked the older building feel with all the luxuries of today. Staff was very helpful. Location was very convienent.

The location was good. The staff was very attentive and very helpful with anything that I asked. They have a dvd vault that is a very nice "plus".

The room was extremely small and when the rate went up to $149 a night it definitely wasn`t worth that price.

That we had to pay for valet parking. We should be given the choice to park our own car on the facilities.

I love the St. Claire! I have stayed here more times than I can count on two hands, and I always leave relaxed and happy. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the rooms are very clean and neat. The hotel itself is very luxurious looking- especially the lobby. The St. Claire has that "old hotel" smell which I actually find to be a bonus. I love feeling like I am surrounded by luxury and staff who enjoy their jobs. Give the hotel a chance if you want a comfortable and clean place to stay with a friendly staff and beautiful decor.

The only complaint I have about this hotel time after time is the state of the bath rooms. The huge mirror and wood sink are a plus, however the bathtubs all look so dilapidated. While clean, it is not aesthetically pleasing and is a major weakness.

Parking with the hotel was expensive and the lots nearby did not seem very safe, lots of broken glass.

I unfortunately did not have a good experience with the hotel. There was a loud group right outside my room and it took forever for security to get it under control. There were also 2 fire alarms that went off in the middle of the night. One around 2:00 am and the other around 3:30 A.M. When I called the front desk no one answered my calls. I got a horrible night sleep. Very dissapointed. I would be hesistant to stay there again.

Location and ambiance. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent.

The beds were hard, the heating was impossible to control and the complex set of blankets made it almost impossible to find a comfortable combination. The pillows were old and, I believe, feather. Our first room smelled so bad of cigarette smoke that the manager apologized and changed our room.
