Staff was very helpful and the location.
First ever motel with no shampoo. Rented room for 4 women and only 3 towels. Asked to get more, did not. Had to go get more. Cleaning staff did not remove our dirty empty plastic cups or throw away our used ice bag, just left it on the counter, did not throw away our used soap and wrapper. Not happy with the maid service.
Good price for a place to sleep.
No fridge or microwave.
Mildew on the ceiling, air conditiioner not working. Didn't feel clean. Outdated
The staff who I believe was David was really friendly and informative
the ac vent was so close to the bed the surroundings seemed scary and not safe I would recommend it due to the friendly staff
It was quiet. Bathroom and room was clean except for a knot of hair in my bed. Staff was friendly at check in. I would recomend this hotel in all fairness for the price and comfort.
I didnt arrive in salem until 11:30 and Check out time was at 12 noon. I was woke up by cleaning staff at 9:45 AM then again by a woman checking on their work at 10:15. I felt very rushed by them to get out. If you want to make sure people are gone by 11:00 AM then change your check out time. I found one hair in my bed and you couldnt miss it because it was a knot full. There is not a microwave or coffee pot, so bring your own. If they would obey their own do not disturb signs i would have been a lot more pleased.
The mattress had stains, there were swarms of flies, the bathroom was not clean and the whole place smelled like smoke and wet dogs. Not a pleasant experience at all.
Located by the freeway, it was easy access. The room was clean. It was also walking distance to places to eat and an OTB lounge.
Very engaging staff, friendly and helpful.
Property very run down and in poor condition.
This motel was full but not loud. We slept great.
The pool area was dirty.
staff courtesy and friendliness room was fine price was great compared with downtown
having to leave to go home
Front desk clerk
neighborhood no shampoo/conditioner smoky noisy people drinking/chatting/smoking outside of rooms
Staff was friendly, clean and value for money.
Noisy from air condition whole night
Friendly and kind manager.
Too noisy too late in the night.
Price is right. Staff is friendly and helpful. I left my pillow there and they had put it up so I could come back and get it. Maids were very nice and doing the best with what they have to work with.
Upon opening the door the smell was overwhelming. Smelled like mildew. Carpets were very stained and because I worry about bedbugs I always look at the mattresses and mine was gross.I ask the front desk lady if we could change rooms and she said the only one that was available was next door and that I could check it out. I did and it was worse. We had stayed there the previous weekend and the room we stayed in then was much nicer. We stayed 2 nights this time. We went and bought 2 different room deodorizers but every time we went out and came back in you could smell the mildew. I'm assuming it's the air conditioner and the carpet. I didn't even go barefoot in the room because of the carpet. I heard they are making some changes later in the year like no carpet and much needed new paint. Hopefully some new mattresses too. Anyway if we could stay in the same room each time that would be fine. We come to Salem at least 3 times a month. I asked if on our next visit we could have that room and was told they couldn't make any promises so I'm cancelling our reservations for August. We'll try again after renovations.
I liked that they refunded my fees so that I could stay at another hotel.
There were; long term "guests" that had animals in the rooms, drug deals happening in the parking lot, and maid staff yelling from the upstairs walkway to the downstairs across the parking lot tenants that hadn't paid their rent and were hiding out in their room, the homeless guy at the front door looked like a greeter at Walmart. The two different police cars going to two different rooms than the "I didn't pay my rent" room was the icing on the cake. I had just finished unpacking, and I turned around and packed right back up and left.
the beds was comfy and the room was clean!!!
the noise from the pool. i was sick and the kids were screaming so loud i couldn't get any rest during the day.
Excellent, helpful, friendly staff Affordable room rate with nice sized rooms Kid and pet friendly Close to shopping malls, diners, freeway, activity options
Be aware that shampoo/conditioner is not available. Small fee for internet use per device
Liked that it was easy to book through booking.com
Opened door & immediately smelled of dirty animal, debris between beds on carpet, pulling back bed spread noticed even more crud on floor, paint chips from ceiling & walls on bathroom floor, shower drain very slow. Bottom line, Tom Bodette needs to leave all the lights on for housekeeping to see that it needs a vacuum cleaner.
Cleaner than expected, nice pool, friendly staff, comfortable beds.
Smokers in close proximity, some stains on bed spread.
Affordable price, friendly staff, quiet and comfortable. Good coffee in the morning.
Quality and size of the bath towels.
it was clean
no glass for water 1 speaker on tv no shampoo/cond or hair dryer
Noise and carpet stains sheetstains and banging on door 3am
The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. We had booked two rooms and had asked rooms next to each other since we were traveling with teen kids and younger. We had booked a king room and a room with two queens. Guess the layout of the rooms at this location makes that request impossible. The lady at the desk bent over backwards to accommodate our request. She also was a great help when our room was less than exceptable.
The room and location were horrible. The one night we stayed at this place was the scariest night I have ever spent away from home. First, the rest of the hotel was filled with drunks and tweekers that stayed there long term. These people made for a very sketchy atmosphere and plainly scared my wife and two teen daughters. They were up all night and disrupted our sleep with their rude and illegal activity. The rooms were as scary and disgusting as the other patrons. First the rooms were supposed to be non smoking, but upon entering it smelled as though there had been a chain smoking convention in them hours before our check in. The rooms were very dated and run down. The bed spread was the most god awful ugly thing I have ever laid eyes on. The bedding was the scariest thing about the trip, even more so than the other occupants. My pillow had what appeared to have a huge, old blood stain on it. I mean like baseball size. I thought that was disgusting enough until my oldest daughter pointed out another, even more disgusting body fluid on her pillow. Needless to say we all wrapped our pillows in towels and slept on top of the sheets. If we had ANY other choice we would have went elsewhere. This was just a pit stop over night on our trip though and nothing else was available. I would NOT under any circumstance stay at this place again. We would have been cleaner and safer in our car on the side of the road or at a rest stop. There is no redemption for this hotel. The owners only option would be to burn it to the ground and start from scratch from the ashes.
