Score from 1068 reviews Very good
Very clean and the air conditioning was great but very loud.
Not the best neighborhood
The room was very clean
Very small room, toilet was to loud when flushed.
Room was relatively clean and staff was good. Felt relatively safe for Salinas.
Woke up in the middle of the night to other visitors' bed creaking violently... I think it came from above us. Price was too much for this place -- we paid over $100 because we booked kind of late and nowhere else was available. We felt we paid too much. Also, the room was tiny but the bathroom was big.
The bed was fine.
Ants...lots of small ants on the outside wall and around the sink. No Kleenex-type tissue. Expensive for the quality.
The room was clean, the bathroom was updated with granite. Front desk was helpful.
Location... Didn't want to leave the premises in this neighborhood. Room was very small...literally couldn't pass each other without one of us stepping aside.
Room was clean and modern compared to a motel 6. Bathroom was almost the same size as the bedroom.
Only complaint was the shower head and water pressure was so fine that it actually hurt your skin.
The bed was comfortable.
When I called in advance to request that their cleaning people not spray room fresheners or leave harsh chemical residues (I'm allergic to these), I was told I had to make my request via the comment portion of my online reservation, which I did. I called in the morning of my arrival to remind about this request, when I was told the motel had no control over what housekeeping did. When I arrived as scheduled (8PM), I asked whether the back or the front of the building would be quieter and was told the back would be quieter. Shortly after I went to bed, a dog began barking in the yard of an adjacent property. I called the front desk to request that they speak to the neighbor about the dog being their yard barking, but the person at the front desk said there was nothing they could do about it and refused to speak to the neighbor. Surely they were aware of this dog problem, but still had advised that the back of their building was quieter! (The dog woke me at least seven or eight times times during the night.) Also, there was no facial tissue, there were clots of long black hair on the blanket, and the TV only received one channel, a Spanish speaking one. If there was a way to get other channels (I tried going up and down the channels numerically), there was no explanation available about how to accomplish it. Since I quickly learned the next morning that there was no simple way to get back on the freeway (101S), there should have been instructions about that left in the room. I wasted 25 minutes trying to get accurate instructions from people I saw on the street. The people who run this motel (probably the owners since it was probably their BMW parked parallel to the main entrance the entire time I was there, partially blocking access by other cars) quite obviously couldn't care less about their guests. They clearly count on one night stays only to make a profit since very few people would want to stay a second night.
a cute small dog living next door made us laugh. Just a passing-through motel, don't expect too much.
outskirt of Salinas, small compact rooms, no coffee/tea stuff, thin walls, carpet corners weren't vacuumed properly .. details .. it's all in the details
clean room, friendly staf (behind glass)
too far from city centre (walking distance), in a dubious neighbourhood
Clean appeared to have been recently renovated. Mattress hard and uncomfortable
Extremely small rooms
Clean. Comfy bed. Good pillows(!). Didn't want to get up
Staff was friendly. Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Linens and towels were of good grade and condition. I enjoyed my time there.
teeny room television reception was poor ANTS in room Bottled water was almost empty: how disgusting couldn't use microwave to heat water as no water and no hot cup the location is easy off the highway but not near anything else
It was clean
No coffee maker ANYWHERE, no ice machine, first room they gave us had no ac or pillows, we asked for two extra pillows and they only had one available, the bed was uncomfortable, and its located in a bad part of town
Clean and organized
Clean and mostly quiet. Just needed to stop and sleep while on the road.
It was one of the smallest rooms we've ever stayed in.
