Beachway Motel

It was clean.

Some of the facilities seemed a bit old but it was a well maintained hotel.

Convenient--- close to beach, Newburyport, and highway. Staff was helpful in getting Internet access.

Dirty towels, no coffee in room, no iron in room, odor of urine, two bars of soap and a packet of shampoo. No instructions for Internet access.

There was absolutely nothing to like about this motel.

It was grossly overpriced for a decent motel, much less a terrible one. The room smelled musty, the beds were propped up with what looked like wooden boxes, the bathroom door didn't close and had two holes in it, the grill cover of the air conditioner was broken and mostly gone creating a hazard for children, the air conditioner was unusable due to a foul odor then emanated from it, the cabinet below the sink was wet and moldy, there was no clock, the refridgerator was broken, and the room in general did not appear to have been updated since the late 1970s. This was a last minute booking on a holiday weekend, so I wasn't expecting much. However, this was by far the worst accomodations I have ever had at any price. My only compliment is that we didn't see any cockroaches.

The room was clean yet looked and felt dirty. The sheets were dingy in color certainly not white. The bed was very uncomfortable. There was no hot water to shower in also not blow dryer.

Ils n'avaient pas reçus le fax de réservation. Moi, j'avais la confirmation de ma réservation. Pas de rangement dans les chambres. Une pôle dans un espace garde-robe, sans tablette, pas de bureau de rangement. On a dû mettre nos vêtements dans la table de nuit et j'ai partagé 4 supports à linge avec mes amis qui étaient dans une autre chambre. Très long avant d'avoir l'eau chaude et la douche faisait vraiment dur. Beaucoup trop cher pour ce qu'on a eu comme chambre. Je ne le recommande pas.

The owner gave us a room with two double beds for the price of a room with one double bed which was nice, but the prices are outrageous to begin with considering you can have a beautiful room at a Marriott for the same price.

Disgusting room for the price of $179! Blood stained box springs, mini blinds with broken slats and no wands for tilting them, a coffee pot which we asked for was delivered with no filter basket, and one of the cleaning people had a shirt on which said "Me so horny". The refrigerator was in the closet so long clothes couldn't be hung up. This was the only place available because of the Hampton Beach Seafood Festival so we booked it. I would never recommend it or stay there again. We stayed in motels as kids growing up, and none of them were as disgusting as this place was.

It's an old property. The proprietor works and works and works keeping the place clean inside and out. The pool is huge. The rooms are fine for what it is. The value is excellent. There are few properties in the area that are reasonable. I went over night for a much needed get away. Unfortunately we ate at a local rest. (Seafood) I was deathly ill most of the next day. I could barely get out of bed. I didn't check out until after 2pm. The proprietor was going to charge me, which was understandable. However when I returned the keys he smiled and said "no charge". I will be sending him a thank you note. If you are expecting a 1st class place for a low rate " get over yourselves. It's an old place with that 60s feel and look. It is clean and quiet. Not for the more "discriminating traveler". I guess it's a motel for the 99%!!! (:

I booked this trip on line using my American Express only to find out when I got there that they wouldnt accept my card to pay for the reservation? I was not pleased. The room was way over priced for what it was. I called asking what time I could check in and arrived 40 minutes later than what they had said so assumed my room would be ready. They told me it wouldn't be ready for another half hour! I will not return to this motel.

location for getting around the area

The room was small and old needed attention. The bathroom only had a shower that you had to step over the toilet to get to. You could only get hot water if you kept the water on very minimum, hardly enough to even get wet by.
