The hollow door had punch holes in it. Deadbolt did not have the actual bolt. Flimsy lock that could be opened by a toddler with a credit card. Furnishings and bedding from the 70s. Burn holes in bedding. Stench of smoke. I can deal with cleanliness issues. I cannot deal with safety issues. I felt I would have been safer sleeping in my car.
The room was tiny, the furnishings old and cheap, but everything was fresh and clean as a whistle and the bed plenty comfortable. It even had a mini-fridge! No frills and no problems.
I like the price and location.
The rooms were old and had drapes and curtins that were hanging off the rods. The box spring cover was dirty with stains and gray. The drawers had dead bugs in them and the tub was old with rust stains.
The location to different ammenities and to Salisbury beach & Center. Close proximity to the highways, Newburyport, Ipswich etc.
The shower was just a spray as opposed to a flow of water. The walls separating the units are very thin so if people are loud in the next unit you don't get much sleep. Maybe they should pool the guests to see who wants to sleep and who wants to stay up all night being loud!
loved the bed, king size with a very comfortable mattress.
we did request a smoking room, but when we walked in the room it smelled really bad like a pipe or cigars had been smoked,it could have been aired out more, and afew burn holes in the blanket.
Wifi barely worked. could hear the person in the next room snoring. no coffee pot. Those smelly plug in things are so strong I could taste ut. Cigerette burn holes in comforter.
While it was old, they did make an effort to keep it clean.
The TV in the room didn't work correctly and I reported it to the desk. They did not have another room available and offered to replace it, but it wasn't worth it for one night. The TVs are patched together with old cable box adapters.
It was well taken care of. clean Loved the water pressure Very friendly people
Needs a new ice machine--Important
location--just over a mile to the State beach; reasonably comfortable--AC was excellent; beds soft and cozy; easy parking on newly-paved drive
condition of room--falling plaster and peeling, garrashily painted walls room smells; little air venting including the bath; no coffee maker; pool locked and no hours posted ROOM RATES ARE WAY TOO HIGH FOR THE QUALITY OF THIS FACILITY; Gets only one star (out of five), if that; perhaps among all the posted signs there should be one that says: "Stay at your own risk."
Location was good if you wanted to visit state parks, Newburyport, restaurants or boardwalk in Salisbury by driving just a few minutes.
Very small room, homeless living in many rooms, pool water merky, cigarette buts all around the pool from the homeless. But the worst was the owners cleanthe rooms themselves. They DO NOT change the sheets and use cleaners to clean the bath rooms. Please believe me as I watched them clean 3 rooms in 10 minutes from my lounge at the pool and NO dirty sheets came out and NO clean sheets went in.
Everything. It was very small, unclean, unkept room. It stunk of stale alcohol, ciggaretes etc. The refrigierator in both rooms we rented were all iced up with no capacity to hold anything. We had an issue with a neighbor, tried calling the office, no answer. For the money we paid to stay here I expected a little bit more. I would never ever stay here again and ask everyone to listen to the bad reviews. They are not lying. Do not stay at this motel.
It was easy too expensive. It was dirty and the room needs to be updated. The shower head was old. I would never stay there again.
The picnic tables and field, the volleyball net, the pool area(sitting wise), the pool looked nice but I didn't go in.
It's a section 8 motel meaning ghetto people live there, there was a fight outside my room at 3am, nobody was in the office to check me out(some little girl told me to just leave the keys from behind some door)...
Noisy neighbors, cold room, window a/c installed poorly. Floors not level, very old, not kept up. Very not worthy of $130.00 a night! Better accommodations down the road. A rip-off for the price. Look elsewhere
This motel has joined units like a 1950s style Mom 'n Pop motel that you might see in an old travelogue. It was quaint, very well kept, and included a very clean pool. It's also close to the beach & to food places. Some units have adjoining doors that can be opened.
Walls are a little thin and you can sometimes hear loud talking, but the TV next door was no bother at all. Bathroom has a shower stall and no bathtub but that's a personal preference. Doors only lock on the doorknob (no bar & ball locks).
Bed, pool, nice atmosphere
My boyfriend fell out of shower and hurt his sholder no money off or something for hurting himself.
I liked the reasonable price...walking distance to a great breakfast place, big clean pool area. Big comfy beds, and 5 minutes from the ocean.
The room we stayed in could have used a little more tender loving care.
Curtain rods were pulled from the wall. Curtains were hanging off rods by threads. Mold in bathroom. Lamp shades torn and had dirty graffiti drawn on the underside. Holes in doors were patched up (someone must have kicked the door in). Not worth half what they charge for this motel.
Close to beach and downtown. AC worked well not only was room cool on entering but block nearby road noise.
Room small, bathroom smaller...needed upgrade on almost everything including towels
I couldn't connect to the wifi despite multiple attempts. The room had Mosquitos and flies even though we kept the door shut. The bed was very uncomfortable.
Friendly staff and a great location with great grounds.
Needs some updating. I think the rooms are left sealed up too long and get that weird "motel" smell.
It was a good location...one way the beach, the other way was places to eat and do things. It was set back behind bushes so you were hidden from a main road. Nice, clean pool. Very pleasant staff.
I did not like the standup shower. Was very hard to not completely soak the whole bathroom floor.
Location near all resort areas. Ok for 1 night stay-over.
Room smelled, plaster fallen off wall in bathroom, no fan in bathroom, hot water took forever to come on. This motel needs a serious remodel.
EVERYTHING. WILL NEVER GO BACK.
bathtub didn't work. it was pricey, given that the bathtub didn't work and the room was so tiny, I have paid less for much nicer spaces.
