Score from 105 reviews Very good
great view of Siletz Bay
Mattress sagged in middle. Pillows uncomfortable. Menu choices were limited. Crab cakes inedible. Stair lighting inadequate.
Beautiful setting, quiet and relaxing. Good music in the lounge.
It is advertised in the in room info that the pool is open 24 hrs. We found out after a long day and wanting to relax that it closed at 11pm. Requested clean towels at the pool, one hour later still NO towels. Gift shop never opened. Restaurants have odd hours.
fireplace and spacious room, comfortable beds, bathrobes and beautiful grounds. Similar to a national park lodge setting, where service is not a high priority. The grounds are lovely and accessible with trails and breezeways.
waiting to get into room at 5:30 pm because rooms not ready. When we got to room, no outdoor lighting for our building on a dark rainy night, so we had to drive back to the office to get them to turn on lights. Restaurant understaffed for breakfast, even though the service was pleasant and food was excellent.
Nice, large room. Good view (forest and some ocean). Bathroom tile and slab counter were well chosen. No sign of mildew anywhere. The food was very good (B+/A-) and the staff was very accommodating.
While the toilet was standard height, it would be nice to have a taller version (they exist) for us older folks. One bathroom wall had paint peeling off. The TV remote channel guide didn't work and the TV picture was poor. It would be nice to have a standard size eating table. Without elevators, next time we'd request a ground level room.
The room was spacious and had a beautiful view. The bathroom was spacious with good counter space for two women and their needs. It was warm without having to turn on the heat. The fireplace was for ambiance for sure.
The picture of the room and my request for what was pictured was not honored. I asked for the windows as pictured since we were quilting and needed that natural light. It was advertised for a microwave and i had to request it. It had to be placed on an end table and the lamp had to go on the floor. I was surprised the couch was frayed on the cushions for the price.
November was a great time to visit. It was very quiet, and I had the place to myself. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. Since they had rooms available, I was upgraded to a bay view room for free, and all guests may use the private (residential) beach access.
Comfortable beds. Helpful staff. Great beach.
Quiet location. We have stayed here many times in the estuary and usually love it.
When we booked online we were expecting a corner unit, windows on two sides in the estuary. Unit we were in was not an end unit, nor was it in the estuary. Comfortable, but not what we were expecting.
love the location and the facilities were very good...food in the restaurant was very good
can be a little pricey...best way to reserve is to do it on line prices are much better than calling directly
The Spa if fabulous! This Spa is top of the line and so are the services and products.
The rooms are dated and so is the lodge itself. I did not like being put in a room right over the main highway when there appeared to be other rooms available. When we checked in around 5pm the front desk host was not too friendly and it took what seemed to be more time than necessary to get help when no one else was there. In the morning at check out there was a lot of confusion at the front desk and problems with the application they were using to check people out. Both lines were six deep and only one front desk host who seem competent. Furnishings and fixtures are all very dated.
Peaceful setting - wonderful variety and well prepared meals. Spa incredible.
We had one bad experience with a very rude staff member. Fortunately ALL other staff were very pleasant and accommodating.
The place is decent and I'm sure was nice when new. The staff, for as untrained and inept as they were, were at least trying.
Place needs updating...point blank. They know it, the guest knows it. That anyone would pay the kind of rates they charge more than once is a miracle. Staff is untrained, and you can tell are used to making a lot of excuses...which no one wants to hear.
Property and layout was great
Manager (Herb) bordered on rude. Original room was hot plus phone and other electrical didn't work for our travel companions. Nothing on site indicated no A/C. When move requested, Herb stated it gets cool at night and reluctant to help
The golf course was very nice with great views. Everyone was very nice and pleasant to us! The wait staff was especially friendly and helpful. The restaurant had plenty of gluten free choices which I found helpful! The desk clerk was very helpful when we realized our room was overlooking nosiy route 101. She actually upgraded us to a larger - and more quiet room! For no additional charge! Great place!!!!
Rooms and resort in general is a little "worn" but it is in such a beautiful setting we really didn't care!!!
indoor pool, mini-golf, fitness center, view from room, lobby.
room a bit "weathered". no easy beach access.
Overpriced for the condition this property is in, not worth even half the price
Everything was comfortable and convenient, and the grounds were beautiful.
We are not golfies, so the emphasis on golf was lost on us. On the other hand, all the golf-related activities didn't get in the way.
Arrived at room, no soap, no towels, 1 roll of TT, clock radio did not work, fireplace did not work, toilet did not flush, called maintance twice to plunge, still did not flush completely. Came for birthday weekend, was not happy or satisfyed with room. Expecations were not met!
Great views, super food, private beach, golf, friendly and close to everything. We have been staying at Salishan for 20 years and always enjoy our stay.
Large room Fireplace Best spa experience ever Breakfast was great Minigolf Grounds Golf course Fridge Greeted with wine and cheese in room Price Lodgey feel
Worn out curtains Unprofessional staff at breakfast
Quiet, scenic grounds
Stepping on dirty french-fries in bare feet upon arrival, cafe understaffed or indifferent about seating guests, missing room items that they charge you for, robes, etc.
The resort is showing it's age. Maintenance is required in a number of areas and refurnishing of the rooms is overdue.
We loved staying here! We wished we had more time to spend at the hotel.... who ever said that? volleyball, tennis, swimming, game room, golf, spa and a private beach!!! If your looking at this hotel it's a must stay!!!
The staff were welcoming and pleasant. The hotel is well marked and easy to find.
No view of the ocean, old building and every time the people in the room above us walked across the floor it creaked and the lamp in our room rattled. Bed and bedding were uncomfortably hard. Room had a strange arrangement with the television in the wall to the side of the bed. Breakfast was packed with families, small children and babies.
Location, the views, . We were also fortunate enough to meet two young bright members of the staff, one in the pro shop, Nathan and one nice young waitress upstairs, Rebecca.
Lack of attention paid to details by the staff, whether on check in/ check out or any other interactions. The place is an outstanding property much in the need of a face lift. No AC in the rooms, no screens, or opening windows.
