Peaceful setting - wonderful variety and well prepared meals. Spa incredible.
We had one bad experience with a very rude staff member. Fortunately ALL other staff were very pleasant and accommodating.
indoor pool, mini-golf, fitness center, view from room, lobby.
room a bit "weathered". no easy beach access.
Great views, super food, private beach, golf, friendly and close to everything. We have been staying at Salishan for 20 years and always enjoy our stay.
Large room Fireplace Best spa experience ever Breakfast was great Minigolf Grounds Golf course Fridge Greeted with wine and cheese in room Price Lodgey feel
Worn out curtains Unprofessional staff at breakfast
The resort is showing it's age. Maintenance is required in a number of areas and refurnishing of the rooms is overdue.
We loved staying here! We wished we had more time to spend at the hotel.... who ever said that? volleyball, tennis, swimming, game room, golf, spa and a private beach!!! If your looking at this hotel it's a must stay!!!
The staff were welcoming and pleasant. The hotel is well marked and easy to find.
No view of the ocean, old building and every time the people in the room above us walked across the floor it creaked and the lamp in our room rattled. Bed and bedding were uncomfortably hard. Room had a strange arrangement with the television in the wall to the side of the bed. Breakfast was packed with families, small children and babies.
Location, the views, . We were also fortunate enough to meet two young bright members of the staff, one in the pro shop, Nathan and one nice young waitress upstairs, Rebecca.
Lack of attention paid to details by the staff, whether on check in/ check out or any other interactions. The place is an outstanding property much in the need of a face lift. No AC in the rooms, no screens, or opening windows.
I liked how the hotel guests had easy access to the beach. The staff was really great and the bar tender with the blonde hair (chips show look-a-like) made us desert late into the night. That was exceptionally awesome. The band was great and had a great crowd.
No AC in the room. The sun room wait time for food was over an hour so I will not return to that restaurant.
Nice rooms, and great pool & hot tub.
No ac & to expensive for what you get. Also the golf course isn't worth the money to play.
I appreciated the location and it was reasonably clean. Check out staff was accommodating in resolving the poor quality restaurant service.
The general vibes from the staff wasn't welcoming and the service did not match the high cost.
staff worked super hard to try to accommodate guests. Property was lovely. Food was really good. Good relaxing atmosphere. Has the potential to be an awesome stay if it had adequate staff to service facility.
Waited for 2 plus hours to check in! Had to wait over 25 minutes for breakfast seating the next morning. We were told they were understaffed due to the recent management change. Didn't get to visit the pool or hot tub or do anything we had planned do.
Unique setting and gorgeous scenery. Access to more secluded portions of the beach.
You get very little, other than a place to sleep, for the exorbitant price. Was afraid to use the coffee maker for fear of being charged $20. Couldn't get the front desk to pick up the phone when I had questions. Putt putt course had dead grass everywhere.
Food, when it came was good. Pool was warm, beds were excellent.
Check in took a long time. Some people not getting rooms until 8pm, room service forgot an order - billed for it anyway. Traffic noise was... noisy. Other rooms with this level of service could be had for half of what I paid.
The staff was inexperienced and slow to anticipate customer needs,
the setting, the golf, the food
sad that some of the hotel was closed down, though the staff compensated well such as offering full service dining even in the fancy restaurant.
The golf course was nice
Noise from facilities on exterior wall. Noise from scrambling young children on second floor and staff not accommodating. no beach front access. indoor pool only
poor condition in need of a facelift everything is old and in desperate need of repair.
good location, comfortable rooms and clean, nice/peaceful setting, really nice linens, very nice employess (helpful & pleasant)
exterior needs alot of cosmetic touch up, while interior rooms where very good and clean, furniture was (style) weird, back wood decks rotted in places, shower curtains to short (but management already knew this and wasn't just our shower)
It's a relaxing place to stay with several activities including a wonderful spa.
Took a bit long to detour room services and one day the results were less then 100%.
Management was great . food was wonderful
had food that was growing things found in closet. maids were argumentive and insulting
We wanted to have access to more kids shows.
The view from our room was fantastic, the put put golf course was very nice and the golf course was spectacular.
No air conditioning, we had to leave the door open most of the night to cool down the room. The food was good except they forgot about my meal and I waited 45 minutes and then got up to leave and they brought my meal. Not what I expect for a highly rated place.
The room was lovely and we enjoyed the music at the lodge. The putting course was fun.
The hot tub was filthy and green. I was charged for a phone call to a restaurant in the same town as Salishan.
I liked the feel of the property, very woodsy and I liked the separate buildings.
From the moment we arrived the staff performance was disapointing. Check in was a little chaotic and less than warm. The room looked like it needed to be repainted, with greasy fingerprints on the wall. The sign in the bathroom with prices on items that might be stolen was cleverly worded, "due to the popularity of these items, they are for sale..." but the message made me feel like it was a warning not to steal, something I've never seen in any facility much less a luxury location. Service in the restaraunt for breakfast was terrible with a long wait, hair in the food, forgotten drinks and subpar food once it arrived. We are usually very easy to please and have never written a review like this, but I have to say we were very disapointed in the stay.
