1 Their place is so quite; 2 Could park in front of your room, like a Motel; 3 Beautiful environment.

Not many people there. Room was old,old furniture, carpet old-dirty and torn. Food was not good (we ate out the 2nd night) Dining Room was closed on Mothers Day evening. Very disappointed.
The scenery and the people

Professional staff, Betsy our host was phenomenal, also took care of our issue with a barking dog.
May 5, 2015
TV was dark and unwatchable; coffee maker was broken; carpet and overall quality of the room was not even close to what we paid for.
Location; in room fire place; pet friendly; Beth Willis band

The bed had to be one of the least comfortable beds I've slept on in any hotel.
My wife and I loved the peace and serenity of the resort. We chose a view of the woods, nice balcony to drink morning coffe from.

The room was poorly cleaned. The beds were poorly made. Staff has an "I don't care attitude". The restaurants do not serve fresh food. I ordered a new York steak, medium rare. I received a piece of prime rib heated in the microwave. I was very disappointed in the facilities.

Breakfast restaurant had too long a wait, seemed disorganized.
Landscape, rooms and view.

It was a no stress happy weekend, it's been needed for a long time.

Really liked the atmosphere

Sheets would not stay on mattress. Facility could use some updating.
Mini-putt with the grandkids.

Pool was out of towels, front desk was called several times with no result. Also had to call for room towels. Checking took way too long because of the long line.
small buildings are very quiet, nice woodsy location, beach access which is across the hwy but very private.
March 23, 2015
Our room had burnt out light bulbs, the sofa bed want bed after I made a note that it would be used, almost got stuck on the patio because of the door knob was stuck. With that it seemed expensive based on that.
the staff in the lounge were very nice and helpful but the cost was I bit ridiculous being the issues we dealt with upon arrival.
March 17, 2015
Staff at front desk were very rude, like ok I'll help you if I have to, staff in bar same way, had to chase me down to get service. Which was surprising since there were only 4 people in the whole bar.
March 10, 2015
I liked the room service and the way the people treat you.

The kitchen was a bit overwhelmed by the demands of four venues even with few guests, I can imagine that service might be frustrating in busy times. However, renovations are scheduled in 2015 that should take care of any problems.
Constructed in 1965, this signature lodge of the Oregon Coast is gorgeous. The lodgings are spacious, there are many fitness choices, and the scenery is spectacular. Expensive, but worth every penny. Pet lovers: the place really is pet-friendly, the staff was very welcoming to our Westie.

There weren't many things we needed in the room. Maybe a set of silverware, a freezer, and if we needed anything it was kind of a trek to get to the main lodge...all four times my key deactivated. Also would have loved a car/shuttle service to the casino on the weekends.
I loved the smaller more private houses, the fire place in the room and the very comfortable room.

Plumbing in room didn't work so well. Could not get water hot Sunday morning. $7 bagel from room service burnt(he offered replacement but didn't want to wait another 1/2 hr. 'Steamer'Clams in lounge were so overcooked with sausage and stew they were unidentifiable as clams
Room very comfortable, fireplace nice, keurig coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge were welcome items . Bathrobes were awesome to have, especially after the cold shower.
February 20, 2015
There's only one restaurant with limited choice.
February 18, 2015
The restaurant was understaffed and not at all trained. Our service was a 1 on scale of 1-10. The mood and tone of all staff was somber as nobody knows who owns the resort, when it will come out of receivership and don't know much about the upcoming remodel. More than anything this resort felt like it wasn't being managed by anyone and there was no welcoming tone at all. It felt like a cheap resort experience which is different from any of our prior visits.
Salishan has been a classy Iregon resort, been there many times over 25 yrs. the spa is wonderful as is the location and the rooms are large and comfortable.

Keurig was broken.
Everything! Loved it & will be back!
February 17, 2015
These actually suited me to a tee but some visitors may not be as enthralled with the more rustic edges of luxury that Salishan provides. The emphasis in more on classic stylings of luxury that may not be suited to those who expect more modernistic approaches.
Though 50 years old, facilities are well maintained Decor is tastefully appointed to match the forest feel of the setting. Common areas are classic luxury styling Staff are friendly at every turn, from check-in counter to housekeeping Views of the surrounding areas are spectacular, with rocking chairs on every deck aimed at the prime viewing spots

and this was my first outing with my girlfriend. I was very embarrassed. I would not recommend this place to anyone. And wish I could get my money back.

The Sauna did not wrok.
January 12, 2015
I was under the impression that we would get to use the "spa" facilities which are shown in the picture. That is not the case. You have to pay $50 to use the facilities shown. This was a big disappointment since that is what attracted us to book the place. We did have access to the lodge pool (which was freezing), and the hot tub, (the water was murky). The locker room had dirty towels everywhere and standing water on the floor. There was a drunk guy in the sauna who wasn't a guest and "comes in every night." This is not a luxury resort. Oh, and there was NO wifi in the rooms. Totally overpriced.
Room was comfortable Location was good.

Front desk staff could be more professional
Excellent food in the "Attic" Bar, so assuming that dining room offerings are equally well-executed. Spacious rooms, apparently recently redone, with travertine marble bathroom. Very quiet and relaxing.
