The place was beautiful! Charming and rustic. Easy to find and close to everything! If you want to see NO ONE - this is the place to go!
I didn't see anyone ! My key was on the table when I arrived with a note. I never had room service - bed was never made up and towels were not replenished. No coffee pot or even a glass for water. There was an envelope suggesting tips - but I was given no service to tip for. It was a little scary not seeing anyone but it was also a little nice too
Being told to move my car with handicapped plates (one leg) to a distant area. 2 spiders in bathroom.
We liked the area secluded from suburban neighborhoods and how much charm it has there.
Breakfast was not served and not noted before booking reservation. Rooms need to be updated with modern decor.
The other guests were very friendly.
No face cloths, toilet tissue, regular tissue or drinking glasses in room. Had to ask for toilet tissue. Had to find face cloths in a hall supply closet (the inn was not staffed during the night because of the Jewish holiday).
Room was the smallest and not nearly as pretty as those of our friends, though there were nicer unoccupied rooms they could have given us. We actually brought our friends to the Inn, so it was more disturbing to receive such a poor room! No clean towels were left for us in the morning, nor was our bed made, yet an envelope was left for us to tip housekeeping.
The location close to killington.
Walls were paper thin. Heard everything throughout the night. The water pressure was a joke. The room was incredibly dirty. I fought with spiders in my bed throughout the two nights there. My door key took 5 minutes just to turn.
it was conveniently located
it is primitive. cramps quarters, poor mattress. do not stay here.
windows didn't stay open, had to be propped; my door didn't shut properly; no breakfast meant we had to travel a distance to find a restaurant. hard to reach the staff (Al)
Used to be the town post office, lots of sweet antiques but modern facilities too. Game room and pool table/ bar that was not attended but could be used likely.
Thought the room we got was advertised w a/c, couldn't open the windows past 6 inches. But fortunately it was cool enough. Lamps were placed where there were no outlets and no extention cord.
Not a B and B as they serve no breakfast. Room not made up the second day.
Lack of service.
Location and style
lacking in amenities (soap, shampoo, etc...). No dining available, not even morning coffee. No staff present at any time.
Manager was friendly, but not visible for most part. He treated us like friends and gave good advice on dining. Price was great, of course.
We did not get any bathroom cups?! We did not like the sink not being part of the bathroom. The plastic knob came off the shower whule I was using it and the water was quite hot- couldn't shut it off without the hot water on my hand.
We were right over the bar and heard noise until it closed. Also every time a door shut the house shook. Would not stay again.
The attached restaurant/pub
The owner, Al, was very informative and gave great recommendations for activities and places to dine. Brand-new, refurbished interior common / recreation room, true to rustic environs. Quaint room, Queen size bed, chair, great book case, with a private full bathroom. Great value, particularly during peak season.
quiet and relaxing
no breakfast ;-( too hot water in bathroom faucet.(need to adjust to minimum hot)
There's a very charming room.
Not at all.
We liked the fact that it was pet friendly. We stayed in the Pico room which had a door to the back yard to take our dog out, very convenient! Loved the antiques all over the Inn. Breakfast was basic but just enough to get you going in the morning. Secluded yet close enough to other towns and attractions. The caretaker was very friendly and accommodating.
I would've liked a restaurant and bar. The BYOB bar was nice but empty..The hand and bath soap smelled gross, I wouldn't wash up with that even if I didn't have any.
Rooms, bathroom, bed sheets. The room stinks and bedsheets needs to be replace.
Clean bathroom and sheets
No hard copy recept. No soap for shower no washcloths nor hand towels. No coffee nor ice or anything consumable. Bar looked nice but bare of any thing to eat or drink. Had to go 10 miles just to get coffee. Went to common area to search for cups to make something myself but went through a stack looking for a clean cup but they all had dried food on them. It wouldnt have done any good because there was no microwave nor ref. When checking in host said to call if I need anything but when I called I got no response. The only time we saw anyone was when we checked in which at that time he charged us an extra $10 for what he said was an upgrade which we didn't ask for. When we got to the room it was extractly what I had reserved. Not an upgrade. I guess the $10 was for the two bath towels we used. My bed had a plastic mattress cover without anything between it and the sheet. The cable tv didn't work half the time because the wires were messed up. We went to the area to see the colors but there was no place outside to sit except for an overgrown area that years ago may have been a garden area. I do believe that at one time this was a nice b and b but I believe it has had it's better day unless more effort is made in managing it.
We had a wonderful stay. The room was clean and very comfortable. The Inn was very nice and if we were there during peak it would be very busy. We had a wonderful stay.
