Score from 160 reviews Good
Rooms nice, antique flavor, great breakfast, good location
Could not work TV
Everything is good .Just the room is too small.I remember I booked a big room at that time .But it still very small .
There is no elevator
Great breakfasts except one morning there was no veggie option
Air conditioning - room too cold and noisy. Staff did turn it off when we asked off but other guests wanted it on
Beautiful house. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed and good amenities.
A little pricey.
The room was very clean and comfortable. The receptionists were so helpful in everything. Coffee is served all the day long for free. Breakfast was so nice with handmade blueberry pancakes.
Generally speaking, hotels in Boston area are all too expensive. There is no elevator installed in this hotel. Be careful if you have very heavy luggage. The receptionist helped me carry my heavy bags to the second floor.
The staff was amazingly helpful during our visit. The homemade breakfast and snacks were outstanding. We would return to this Inn in the future.
The dining room was quite small but there was an outdoor area that provided additional space. The sitting room in the lobby was limited.
ambiance, the pretty, quiet neighborhood so close to places we wanted to visit
The fireplace in the room was a special treat and because it was still a bit cold it was welcome after a night out walking about.
There were no matches to light the fire and I had to really work hard to procure some!!!
Staff was very nice. Rooms comfortable, good value
The staff were at the inn were wonderful! Always willing to help with anything in order to make our stay a great experience. We would never stay any where else when we go to Boston.
We were in town for medical appointments. The inn is walking distance to the Longwood area, as well as Coolidge Corner restaurants, shops, and entertainment. The inn is immediately comfortable and inviting. Snacks, coffee, and tea are always available. The clerk on duty was SO friendly and answered all of our questions-she even printed walking maps and gave us restaurant suggestions.
That we couldn't stay longer! :)
Closeness to transit, neighborhood, amenities in area, breakfast, staff friendliness
Great location for watching Marathon. Pleasant and attentive staff, which got us free passes to MFA.. Good breakfast.
It was Marathon weekend, so prices were high . . .hence I can give it only a "good" for value. Heat wasn't turned on, so a bit chilly in the morning.
Breakfast maddie helped us wonderfully
Need better control of heat
Staff was excellent & loved the breakfast & room
Room was quite elegant
Room got way too cold at night (winter)
I liked the staff. They were friendly and very helpful. The location is wonderful. The food was great and it was nice to have parking on site. The beds were very comfortable and the inn is charming and has character.
Our room was so hot! We had to use a fan when it was freezing outside.
The Seewall Inn is very well located, 1 minute from the St. Paul's T Station. It is a nice victorian house well adapted for today's needs. The breakfasts are plentiful and excellent. From there, you can easily go by foot to the Museum of Fine Arts of Boston or to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, two really fantastic museums to visit.
The only thing we did not like is that heating was working too well! Also, these beds in New England are very high and you litterally have to climb on them. They are quite comfortable though, once you are up! The price is a bit steep, but that Boston is a big city and one has to pay in order to get quality service, cleanliness and good location.
Employees were very friendly and helpful. They were willing to answer any question we threw at them. It is a block from the T which made travelling in and around the Boston area a whole lot easier that driving.
There wasn't much that we didn't like.
Charming inn with warm, friendly staff. We enjoyed ourselves at all times. Very comfortable bed and recently updated bath. The hot breakfast was delicious.
The room and amenities were great. Free snacks and beverages during the day, comfy bed, good shower, a fireplace in the room, nice TV if you wanted with a DVD library of movies, cheap parking ( for Brookline). Charming place and kind, friendly staff.
The temperature of the inn was just too hot. Heard other guests complain about it - one man even left the breakfast area because of the heat. I ended up opening my window in the room. Wi-Fi - in room was free, but the connection tended to fade in and out. Breakfast was good, but not a full breakfast. An upscale continental breakfast is what I would call it.Pastries were fresh baked and good - only hard boiled eggs - the one hot entree was only so-so each day. On balance, a small negative on an otherwise great place.
Loved the friendly staff that me feel very much at home. Great breakfast and wonderful cookies. My room was ready early and I was able to check-in after arriving on the red eye.
There wasn't anything I didn't like. It met all my expectations.
Charm, location,. staff,
Had a third floor room which required a space heater. Bathroom was very cold.
very helpfull and friendly staff
