Staff and rooms very nice
We like a small hotel and this is a clean affordable one. Decor was Mexican w/o being too cute. An active person could walk to convention center and save parking fees and avoid traffic
The staff are wonderful, the rooms are cozy and fresh, location is good since you can walk to the Riverwalk and there's a HEB store just 10 minutes walk away. And again, the staff is amazing. By far the best place I've ever stayed at at this price range.
It was my wife to be anniversary and we had a great time. We got the king room. The bed was huge room was cute and nice. Restroom clean and floors were clean. Everything was nice. Breakfast was to early so we never made it. It was close to everything. Downtown. The neighborhood around there was very sketchy but my car was fine. And they let me stay a couple hours after my stay was due cause my flight got delayed so it was all well worth it. It says motel. But it is a way better then some hotels I've stayed at.
Management was a little poor with customer service. But they did what they could. Sheets were thin. So had o get extra. Didn't clean my room the last two days.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean. We got the rooms we reserved with no hassle.
The location is not in a good area. The house right across from the window of my hotel room had a party. From 2-3am there was a fight with police and yelling and people beating each other up. All about 2 feet from the window. Pretty scary.
I saw ants in bathroom! They made a line and went to somewhere.
Fairly close to downtown area & alamodome
Breakfast pretty non existant. Need to offer a real breakfast in a breakfast room.
Stuffs are nice and location is good. A very good place to choose.
On two occasions the staff went out of the way to help me. On the first they persisted in forwarding a telephone call from my wife. On the second they talked to "Go" Shuttle who were late picking me up -- 47 minutes late, but I got to my flight on time.
There was absolutely nothing to dislike.
Walking distance (ten minutes or so) to the Riverwalk and downtown attractions (Alamodome, Tower of Freedom) Close to major roads, easily accessible Extremely friendly staff; very helpful Rooms are even nicer than the pictures Very quiet Price
The neighborhood at first seems like it could be unsafe. The surrounding properties are a bit rundown, making it look shabby. It IS safer than it seems. I do not know of any problems during may stay, nor during the days before/after it. Of course, use caution: do not walk alone.
Beds were comfortable, place was clean.
not enough pillows (too small), location was a little scary.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was also very reasonable in comparison to others.
It was a little ways from the river walk and Alamodome. We did not feel comfortable walking to those locations from here. Also the front desk employee was very slow and was not present when we walked into the inn
Everything! There was clothes under the bed (look like a stripper outfit) , 2 pair of shoes in closet, towel in the closet & a broken bottle with 10yr old spilled liquor in the refrigerator &&your in the hood!! Take CAUTION!!!!
closeness to the riverwalk
lacking on some items that needed fixed, but caused us no problem. could replace the big chair with a smaller one, it took up a lot of room and was not very usable.
Close proximity to the train station and restaurants. Cleanliness. Wish there had been a guide channel on the TV to know what was playing, instead of just an outdated list of channels on a piece of paper..
The receptions desk attendant did not communicate well with us. We gave our name and he just pounded keys on the computer for minutes until I asked if there was a problem and then he said there was a problem with the computer. There was nothing wrong, but he wasn't outgoing or helpful as would be appropriate in that role.
Location, room, staff, And value. I'm blown away by how well they take care of this hotel.
location and value for money.
breakfast can be a little better and parking is too small and tight.
The door wouldn't completely close unless I slammed it shut significantly hard.
The bed was comfortable.
I saw mold on the shower curtain. The bathtub was poor quality. We had no choice for breakfast, only too sweet pastry.
We were surprised how small the place was but the rooms were very nice and comfortable.
This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Unbelievable, considering the cost. I've paid 4 times as much for something nowhere near as good. The room was huge, and equipped with everything I could possibly need. Iron and ironing board, refrigerator, microwave, a nice big TV, aircon, and even USB ports on the bedside table, so I could charge my devices. Huge, cosy, fluffy bed, decent-sized bathroom, great shower. The staff were really friendly and helpful too. The area is kind of ugly, but it's only about a mile from downtown, so I really didn't mind, especially considering that for this price, you're usually about 10 miles from downtown.
I love that it's a non smoking motel. The beds were tall and very comfortable. The staff was super nice. The carpet was pretty new. My son walked barefoot and his feet stayed clean. It had a very homey feel to it. It was very comfortable. I was told that it wasn't in the best part of town, but we loved it! It was a great price for being so close to downtown.
It is a tiny motel with small rooms, but very cozy. I wish their breakfast was served a little earlier. We left on a Sunday at 7am and nothing was out yet. The tub had the glue from one of those bath mats and it was pretty unappealing.
Room was great! !
I stayed at the la hacienda because the price was great and it was located down town so that I we would be able to walk to the river walk. The place was fairly clean and the staff was nice.
The neighborhood was pretty rough and the walk was quite lengthy. Also, no one ever told us about when we were to be able to eat breakfast. Next time, I'll just pay extra and stay in one of the others.
