We were surprised how small the place was but the rooms were very nice and comfortable.
This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Unbelievable, considering the cost. I've paid 4 times as much for something nowhere near as good. The room was huge, and equipped with everything I could possibly need. Iron and ironing board, refrigerator, microwave, a nice big TV, aircon, and even USB ports on the bedside table, so I could charge my devices. Huge, cosy, fluffy bed, decent-sized bathroom, great shower. The staff were really friendly and helpful too. The area is kind of ugly, but it's only about a mile from downtown, so I really didn't mind, especially considering that for this price, you're usually about 10 miles from downtown.
I love that it's a non smoking motel. The beds were tall and very comfortable. The staff was super nice. The carpet was pretty new. My son walked barefoot and his feet stayed clean. It had a very homey feel to it. It was very comfortable. I was told that it wasn't in the best part of town, but we loved it! It was a great price for being so close to downtown.
It is a tiny motel with small rooms, but very cozy. I wish their breakfast was served a little earlier. We left on a Sunday at 7am and nothing was out yet. The tub had the glue from one of those bath mats and it was pretty unappealing.
Room was great! !
I stayed at the la hacienda because the price was great and it was located down town so that I we would be able to walk to the river walk. The place was fairly clean and the staff was nice.
The neighborhood was pretty rough and the walk was quite lengthy. Also, no one ever told us about when we were to be able to eat breakfast. Next time, I'll just pay extra and stay in one of the others.
It was close to the train station :) but I did not feel safe walking around later in the day. The rooms were nice, good comfortable beds, and coffee making facilities ...
The microwave had been missed with the cleaning as was the floor, I feel it could do with a good scrub :) Breakfast was poor.
Room style, cleanliness of bed
Really good value for the money, especially since it is so close to everything (Alamo, Riverwalk, Market Square). It was quiet and quaint and I will definitely stay here again!
Very unique place unlike none that I've stayed in. Very clean, love the atmosphere of the rooms.
Need more parking so guest won't have to worry about their vehicles, or some type of security to watch over them.
The decor of the room.
The water pressure wasn't great in the shower.
I liked that the location was so close to the river walk and the touristic locations of San Antonio
Didn't have a pool didn't have a dining room or washing faculties breakfast bar was bare
How clean and organized the place was....
There was nothing to not like...
This hotel was like a diamond in the rough. The location was a bit scary but once you got inside and especially in the room, the Patel's had it polished clean and the room was fabulous! The furniture was beautiful, bed was comfortable (a bit small, but very nice) and the bathroom was very clean and well-kept. The location was a bit lacking, but it was very close to everything downtown. I am not certain I would walk anywhere at nighttime, but daylight would probably be okay! Will definitely stay here again when in San Antonio.
There was a dirty pair of underwear behind the curtains, they're probably still there. There were hairs all over the sheets when you pull the blankets back. The hotel location in regards to the riverwalk was excellent but it was entirely too close to the bad side of town and it was a little uncomfortable to go outside after dark
Staff were very friendly checked in early without a problem. The area was not the best because there isnt anything walking distance but other than that hotel and staff were great!
Area...wasnt anything within walking disrance.
The management that was under the owners. A pleasure
The owners customer service was horrible and rude
Location from down town attractions!
the location was very close to the Alamo and Riverwalk - which made it very nice..
we didn't have bath towels in our room-- and when we returned very late at night - no one was at the front desk.
Rooms were pleasant
The front desk- Sign clearly stated breakfast @ 6:30a.m. Front desk said she would not have anything(Coffee, Water, Toast etc;)ready until after 7:00a.m. When everything was ready Danish, muffins and coffee only, with no apology for the delay.
Great Room, Awesome people to deal with. So close to downtown. Great stay!!!!
No pool. :(
Urine on the bed that soaked through
There was a distinct smell of urine on my bed in my initial room. In fact it was wet and soaked with it. When I informed hotel management I was told that they could either change the sheets or I could find a new room. We then had to scramble to try and find a room but were not able to. Eventually another member of my group took the bed and switched rooms since it was his belief that there was nothing wrong. He then got upset when they changed the sheets and the entire mattress was soaked. There was human hair all over another bed. Second, the Continental breakfast ran out at 9:15 when we were told it would be longer. Third, safety....we were told the front doors lock after 10pm. Around 11:30 after coming back from going out we were all talking outside. A random person asked us if they could get in the hotel. We told them no they must have a key, that person then opened the front door without one. Walked in and then walked out. I do not recommend this hotel and I don't know how they have won so many awards.
Bad blankets No tea maker!
We stayed for 4 nights, even thought it was in a rough looking neighborhood we felt safe. Our nights were very peaceful and quiet, the beds were very comfortable. The location was great. We will definitely return.
Water pressure was a little low.
Great location short walk to Downtown and excellent customer service. The room was great with comfortable beds.
