Loved the design and the staff were wonderful.

The location next to amtrak was loud but the trains stop running at 9:00 pm so it's not horrible. Although the bathroom design was cool and modern.... I think they should've made the shower larger...

The location of the hotel near the beach. Everything was essentially new and fresh. The food was great and the bar excellent. Staff was great and accommodating. The rooms were quite small, but there was little the hotel could have done to provide larger rooms. They were nicely appointed.

The size of the rooms left much to be desired. It reminded me of some hotels in Europe we have been in that were quite small. My wife did not like the lack of a bath tub.

    the cleaniness

The squeaky beds, tiny rooms for the amount spent. The hotel restaurant closes too early. The parking should be included with the hotel price.

Everything was very clean. The staff was courteous, professional and helpful.

Noisy!! Next to the Amtrak station. Rooms were extremely small, and the bathroom was so small it was a joke. You could sit on the toilet and take a shower at the same time.

The hotel was new and in a great location. Staff were very friendly and restaurant next door was convenient.

Bathroom was very small but this is the only thing to complain about, everything else was truly great.

This hotel reminded me of a small European hotel. Basic, yet adequate. Very small rooms with creative storage space & bathroom layout. However, most importantly it was clean and convenient.

The train is very loud. It runs right next to the hotel. If you are a light sleeper, you will hear it. The hotel does provide earplugs, and definitely helped!

The staff & restaurant was excellent.

The room was tiny & looked like the furniture was bought at a discount store. No room to move or put our luggage. The bathroom/shower was a joke! And it's right next to the train tracks.

I loved the staff and how accommodating they were. It was out first trip to Santa Barbara and we had a wonderful experience. It was my birthday and the staff upgraded me to a beautiful room with a patio and delivered a bottle of wine with a birthday card! It doesn't get any better than that... The hotel was so clean... They had bikes for us to take for free and the hotel was in walking distance of state street. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect weekend

I wish the hotel had a pool or spa... But rather than that it was perfect!!!

Excellant location! Quaint size and loved the decor. Bright, light, very clean. Bikes available is a nice touch. Nice to have a restaurant/bar on site.

Mind-numbing techno music heard in my room, that started at 0700 and went until restaurant closed. Even in the restaurant, the music is loud. I had room 211, right over the restaurant, which was supposed to be a better room, when my room was not ready even after arrival after 3pm!? The desk staff seemed inexperienced, until Hoa came on the scene. Excusable as they were young and probably training. I was told that this room would be better than a "train" room. Actually, one train going by at 1145pm would probably be better than the hallway noise, the garbage collection in the morning and the Peruvian funk. All in all, I want to love this hotel, as I will make several (4-5 visits) to Santa Barbara per year to see my son. Some of which will be extended stays- I would like to establish a relationship with one hotel and its staff. Is there a better room for me and some sort of preferred customer discount? Help.
