I like about its location, closer to train and convention center. It is a downtown type of hotel where you can just sleep and go around for eating and work.
The price for what is offered is too high. The price was comparable to Sheraton for a lodge. The staff on the front desk on Oct 25 was one of the rudest staff that I have ever met in my life. My request to check out at 2 PM was was agreed upon by David (reception) on 24th Oct night and a note was placed for this. This is honored by every hotel staff in the world. On 25th morning, when I came to tell that I should be in at 1.30 PM instead of 2 PM, the lady in the front desk denied the option categorically citing that hotel is fully booked and her language was one of the worst towards a customer. I have travelled around the world and I visit USA at least four times a year but never every in any hotel was I told the rude language that she did. I really felt very very sad. I asked, in that case, they can take my luggage out from the room. However, when I came back at 1:30 PM, I overheard the conversation of another receptionist (in red) and she was saying that 'we have rooms for today and you do not need to worry about it'. The pretext given to me was totally unacceptable and the language was like no educated person speaks to a customer. I kept the luggage until the evening and when I came to take it, David was there and I narrated the whole episode. He said sorry but the damage done by the other lady was irreparable. You do not pay more that 200 $ per night who does not have a basic concept on treating a customer. I am really sorry to have faced such a nightmare.
Very friendly staff, very conveniently located, old but cute rooms
The walls are incredibly thin, could hear my neighbours very clearly. Made it difficult to sleep
position and staff
air condition centrilized in each rooms of the hotel
Friendly place, interesting history. Attractive art and photos of early Phoenix.
Downtown Phoenix -- dead as a coffin nail. Small bathroom.
Location, next to light rail station Travel from airport to hotel by sky train and light fail took 25 minutes and cost $2 each. Hotel ghost history is interesting. 7th floor is the place for ghost visits and we stayed in room #720, but did not see the ghost.Day pass for light rail and bus is $4 each
I love the hotel
Did not like having to squabble with multiple front desk personnel over guaranteed rate rec'd online thru booking.com.
The desk clerk was the creepiest man alive, and made us feel very uncomfortable staying in that hotel
Everything. Staff professional, courteous, and friendly. Great location. Nice room.
Low water pressure for the shower 1 of the 3 days. No parking
The building has a lot of character. The staff was very helpful.
Housekeeping was excellent.
The gym was very limited. Wi-Fi and cell reception was poor in the room.
The location was great
Room smelled like smoke and there was no way to control the temperature of the room
Small bathroom and noisy
Location. Very courteous and helpful staff
Paper thin walls. You could everything going on next door or on the corridor outside the room. Included crying babies and a young couple having an argument outside our door.
Location to sporting events attending. Cleanliness for age of facility. Vintage window and bed coverings.
Inattentive desk clerk. Checked in between 4 and 5:00 p.m. Bell hop and desk clerk were lacidazical. Had to ask for parking?!?
There was construction being done two rooms done from us that started early in the morning.
The staff was great. Nice atmosphere all around.
I could hear everything that was going on around me, the conversations in the hallway and the adjacent rooms. Parking is a mess. Only one valet at check out, waited over 20 minutes for my car.
The location was great and close to Conerica Theater.
For the value of the hotel, the stay was not the same. At $200 a night, the shower did not work and when brought to the attention of management the response was "should have told me earlier."
loved the building, the ambience, the location and the history.
everything about it was more than satisfactory.
Clean, comfortable, close to convention center and places to eat.
Small bathroom but wouldn't trade it's "old world" charm for more size either!
