Great Location Free breakfast which was very good Friendly staff Big room Free parking
Service, comfy beds, friendly and very helpful staff, cost and location
We have stayed here several times & they never let us down. It's clean friendly and convenient to Old Town. We will stay again! Complementary Bkft is good, area clean & friendly attendants.
Arrived late so didn't see much and had to reasn to go out.
Nothing I came accross was bad.
too noise near the highway and you could hear the airplanes
Friendly, helpful staff, terrific bed, good breakfast. Inviting pool area, family-owned, not a chain. Great bargain!
Location: highway & train noise
We were travelling to LA by train from Old Town. It's location was just perfect as we could walk to the station from the Old Town Inn. It had easy access to the historic Park where we got a free guided tour prior to leaving the following day.
there was a sink/area to get ready outside and inside the restroom
there was no conditioner or body lotion
Clean comfortable room, 3 blocks from transit center for green line trolley, Amtrak Pacific Surf liner and Coaster, and 6 bus lines. Reasonable rate. If you are good with walking and public transit. Old town restaurants within six minute walk. Nice looking pool. Good continental breakfast. Great staff.
Immediate neighborhood is just ok. The transit center and freeway overhead are your neighbors.
We had trouble finding the hotel, but that was our fault for not printing directions. Felt as if we might have picked the wrong location at first, but after crossing the busy freeway, and going under the subway, we found we were in one of the best places. Like an oasis in the middle of a Freeway!Old town was quaint, plenty of places to eat, especially if you like Mexican! Would recommend Cosmopolitan Hotel for its restaurant too. Excellent location for Trolley/Busses etc. to get you to all the other areas around San Diego. We paid approx. $12 for a 3 day bus/trolley pass, excellent value. Lovely Hotel, and would definitely go back to Old Town Inn and San Diego again. They were also refurbishing some of their rooms, so you might be lucky enough to get a newly refurbished one.
No other hotels next to us.
Friendly staff, clean rooms close to MCRD.
Issues with the water but were remedied.
The area close to old town since I was interested in the festivities with the "Day of the Dead".
A huge spider web that was by the elevator with the spider in it and it wasn't small. Being 6.2 tall I had to remind myself for 5 days even after telling them at the reception desk twice.
Room size, morning breakfast, room rate. Also Maria the housekeeper was very polite.
Location can be a bit dodgy at night with homeless people
The attractive appearance creates a favorable first impression and is followed by excellent service. We will return in two months for an extended stay. This location, although not scenic, is very convenient for our vacation needs.
We had a little problem with the wifi connection, but the staff cheerfully assisted us. First room had no refrigerator or microwave, but when we asked, we were cheerfully moved to a room that suited us perfectly.
Being bitten by a desert recluse; and getting no satisfaction from the hotel. The spider was in my hotel room. Staff said "we have no spiders, but we bombed your room anyway." I'm thankful I'm not an allergic type person or it could have been bad.
We have stayed here several times. (When ever we go to Old Town) The staff is very nice, prices good and a good breakfast from 6:30-10:00 AM. It is very well kep & clean. Could use new beds, but all in all very comfortable. We will be back.
Good location, nice rooms, good breakfast.
Cleaning supply smell in room. Elevator slow.
Tucked away among industrial buildings this motel was not a motel 6. The cute folded towels new bathroom and carpet didnt make up for the smell and the vwry old beds. Linens bedspreads were worn and had hard use.
I put the negative in the positive box.
Rooms large and comfortable. Bed so comfy. Ideal location for Old Town and transport. Not having a car this was ideal for us. Breakfast excellent. Highly recommended
Once again the old town Inn was a delight, well placed, great value for money, fantastically helpful staff, it's my first choice for somewhere to stay in San Diego
This place is exceptional value for money, the facilities were near as nice as the La Jolla Shores Hotel we paid more than double for. Very clean and cared for. The staff are friendly and helpful.
We were each given vouchers for a restaurant by the reception staff and headed there for breakfast the next morning. Be warned, it is only 1 voucher per table - even though our party were given one each. It didn't help that the restaurant was a little over-priced and the staff rude. Really not the Inn's fault though.
Lack of HD signal to go along with HD capable flat screen TV in all rooms.
The layout of the room was nice and everybody was friendly... We usually would stay at Padre Trail Inn but they have since tore that down.. Very impressed and we'll be staying here from now on
There was nothing we didn't like..
a environment-friendly hotel; great breakfast; thoughtful facilities; convenient location; big room
Access to transit station (buses, Amtrak Pacific Surfliner); walking distance to Old Town; hotel has everything you need! Nice breakfast; staff very helpful, friendly. Anna, at front desk was very helpful!
