Not really q negative but free wifi would have been nice and the parking is expensive.

the staff was not accommodating. They sounded very irritated when I would call with a question or request. The room was small for the price we paid. we called beforehand to make sure that they had a pool and we were told yes but turns out that they didn't have a pool. we were promised breakfast vouchers and never received them and when we told the front desk and they made us feel stupid. when asked about our stay we simply stated how disappointed we were and the girl just said "ok. have a nice day." the parking was also pricey and not included
cleaning ladies were really nice

Prefer free Wi-fi for the price we paid for room.
I loved that we got to check in early. I loved our room with water view. Room was nice. Staff nice & helpful.

Bad service. We have breakfast included in our offer, but they charged it again, after many conversations with different people, they decided to give breakfast free for me and my husband, but to charge for kid's buffet. Parking organisation was bad also.

Expensive room price for one night stay.
I liked that there was a great bar on top of the building. Didn't have to go far unless you wanted to.

Whatever you do, DO NOT EVER STAY at the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter... We booked our rooms 2 1/2 months ago for a King Suite, due to the need for space with a baby crib... We checked in and they tried to put us in a room with two double beds and a room that wasn't a large suite... I called downstairs and asked why we didn't get the room we booked, only to be told there are NO KING SUITE available... After speaking to a manager they moved us to a room with a King bed, but the room wasn't a suite and way too small to even open a crib... I again asked for the room I booked and was finally moved to a King Suite, which was supposedly not available to begin with... I was then advised we would have to move to another room, as "The Owner" had booked the entire floor for his visit and stay... So again we were moved to yet another room that was a King Suite.... During this move our room keys were never programmed correctly and we frequently found ourselves looked out of the concierge lounge we had booked as part of our booking... We were also locked out of our room as the keys were not programmed right. Don't even bother ordering room service... It shows up over an hour after you order it and ready for bed... They tried to give us $100.00 off our rooms for each night... It was either that or a free night stay... I would never stay at The San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter again... It is quite disturbing that the owner books a whole floor and forces customers who booked their rooms months in advance to be Jerked around like this... All my cop buddies, professional and personal acquaintances, and family members, stay at the Omni Hotel instead... If the owner of the Marriott shows this lack of customer service to guests, you can rest assured that all trained staff is the same way... They could care less about you the customer!

The room was small, windows were dirty, and for the rate of more than $300.00 per night I would have expected 2-ply toilet paper. There was no makeup mirror in the bathroom (which was very, very small). I've stayed at other hotels with much better rooms and amenities for half the price.
We stayed at the Marriott because of its location next to Petco Park. The bar and restaurant are 1st class, and the rooftop experience is great for baseball fans.

No pool. Expensive parking. No refrigerator.

Price was a little high, don't think it was worth the $300 + dollars per nite.
Location was awesome. View from rooftop was best I have been in.

This is a great place to stay if you are going to any event at Petco Park. We stayed here for Supercross and it was very convenient. The bar on the roof has a great view of Petco Park as well.

Booked a king room for Valentine's Day but ended up getting two double size beds. Was told they where sold out of kings and to read the fine print on my reservation through Booking.com. Fine print states king or double bed which ever is available. Thanks booking.com
Rooftop bar is awesome.

No pool or even roof deck or leasure area where you could just sit or lie on a sunbed after exploring the city. Roof top bar, 2 cocktails and a beer during HAPPY HOUR $32. Not a very happy hour.
Nice hotel and great location.

I would be nice to have a USB charging outlet in the room. Many lamps and other common appliances build them in.
Walking distance to convention center.

I'm in the military, so I'm young and have steady pay, I felt like the hotel clerk judged me completely by my looks and age it was as if he didn't think I could afford to stay there he was rude, up until we booked the room. Also it is strange how much cheaper the rooms are online than they are in person.
I like the location cleanliness and maid service.

Their gift shop was the size of a closet! I like a good hotel gift shop and this was small and not stocked with very much merchandise.
The hotel was beautiful, the rooftop bar was beautiful! We had a nice breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and modern, very nice getaway!
