Location ,pool, view
The room is too small and bed was not so comfortable! The washroom is seems to small and old
location, marina view, ballpark, 5 nigtlife ,,,,,....,,,,,
liked it all
A great hotel in a wonderful section of San Diego.
Location and view of harbor
Cost of parking
We loved the location and the amenities of the hotel. The pool was amazing and our view of the harbor was awesome.
The hotel was really crowded and we could not get a late check out on Sunday. Even though the bellhop told us they weren't sold out we were still expected to leave the room by noon.
The marriott marquis is in a fantastic location bordering seaport village and five minutes walk to gas lamp area. Situated right on the bay overlooking the harbour. The pool area is beautiful with loads of sun beds. The rooms are spotless and the staff are very friendly. We loved this hotel so much we hope to go again in 2015 even although it is an 11 hour flight from Scotland.
Having to leave the San Diego weather.
Great location, next to gas lamp district. Great staff. Very welcoming and helpful. Fantastic room with a view over the bay. We had read about some noise issues regarding the trains outside the hotel, and therefore ordered room with a seeview, which is on the other side of the hotel. I am a light sleeper, and had no problems sleeping. We were in the north tower, were every room has a balcony. Great swimmingpool and outdoors area. Fantastic gym! Huge, even a spinning - room. All equipment seemed to be new.
Restaurants a little bit pricy, but the food was great.
The location is great
Our room was not very impressive. The bed had a box spring and mattress that rocked from side to side. We were at the hotel for a romantic upscale evening, but the bed felt like cheap night out at a 2 star motel.
The beds were very comfortable and the room was nice. The facility has enough concessions for eating convenience.
Parking was a little expensive. Wi-fi was not included and the cost per day was too high. There are no spa services. We were told that if we wanted a room on the upper floors with a view it would cost another $50.
Spectacular view of the harbor, and Coronado Bridge. And, walking distance to PETCO for Sir Paul's concert! Beautifully kept facility and grounds... Our stay at the Marriott Marquis was absolutely one of our best get-aways! Will go again!
The appearance of the hotel was elegant and upscale.
The parking is an extra charge on top of the room
Price vs. Size of room was poor. Adequate furnishings. Poor selection of tv options.
Location and view perfect. Harbour walkway for jog and walking distance to restaurants on the Marina.
Thought the beds were too soft and don't like the charges for self parking,
Loved the room, the TWO balconies, one with a city view and one with a bay view, the shower was superb, food was excellent, and super close to interesting places.
The constant dinging from the trolley was a bit annoying and while the windows dampened it, I could still hear it and it began to invade my dreams!
Great pool & "Roy's" ~ great food!!
Prime location.Room is spacious and good food
Location is convenient & easy access to marina and local shops, restaurants. My requests to switching room for king-sized bed and extra pillows were quickly accommodated..good friendly staff service.
We arrived at 4pm on a Friday (rush hour for hotel check-in) the environment was very botanical and calming. I love that everything is with in walking distance. Can't wait to comeback. Ohh one more thing we loved the pool and the service was great with street tacos and chips and dip.
Everything . Breakfast , fitness center ,the poolside and the location.
Plenty of amenities
We reserved a room a month ahead for 2 queen beds, as there was 4 of us one being a small child, we were given a small room with one queen bed and a fold out chair. When we asked for the room we reserved they simply replied" sorry we must have gave it to someone else", then we asked for my military discount as it can't be applied online and they said they couldn't allow one because they were too full!? This was my wedding wknd by the way and we were supposed to have dinner at the hotels restaurant Tequila Bar and Grill, there weren't any family sized tables so at the last second while 10 people in our party were standing around hungry we had to scramble and search for another place nearby to eat at. Won't stay with them again.
beautiful, clean hotel and amazing views, great pool. Amazing location. Room was smaller then expected, be still very nice
for such an expensive hotel, no free wifi and asking the staff questions or clarity was like pulling teeth. also, was trying to get two rooms for three people but ended up with 1 room for 3 people due to confusion between Booking.com site and hotel site.
customer service was excellent Since I stay on labor day weekend self parking was not available thanks to them they did valet parking for us very helpful
such an expensive room didn't have queen beds have a big husband and small children no enought space in the bed.
Packed full with families with children; Lines of guests at the elevators; Too expensive; Breakfast - staff is not very attentive, sloppy food arrangements, too expensive; Parking - overcrowded, not enough space sometimes, too expensive; Internet - paid access, too expensive. Everything's overprices and subject to charge.
The view, location, room , pool and breakfast!
Didn't like the high rooms, would have preferred lower to ground.
