I liked the location as it was close where we needed to be and close to the Fisherman's Wharf. The bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious enough.
Poor lighting, very small bathroom, no in-room bar or refrigerator. The carpeting was old and dark. We were on the fifth floor and we needed to take 2 elevators to get to the room, while walking across the roof level to get to the second elevator. The price was very high for this type of accomodation. Very disappointed whe we arrived as it did not match the description as depicted on website.
Good location, it's walking distance from almost anything, pretty close to Lombard street, Russian Hill has some good spots to have dinner and drinks
Parking fee Pet fee Refundable hold of $50/day "incidentals" fee ("in case of theft")
location(near fisherman wharf, nice restaurant, good staff and facility, also nice transportation.
just poor breakfast.
We are very happy with the hotel location. Velichka is very nice person, who helped us to orientate better in the sity. She gave us so many suggestion what to do in the city. Thank you for the nice room in the hotel and friendly.
The location of the hotel was terrific. We could walk to most places. The hotel was really clean and quiet. Breakfast was far better than expected. We were given up upgrade and from our apartment on the 5th floor we could see the Golden Gate Bridge. Terrific.
The only downside was the hot water in the shower. Eventually it warmed up and was great, but being water aware we hated wasting good water.
The room was excellent. The view was fantastic.
The breakfast not ok. I wish there was more. But it was healthy choices.
Friendliness of staff. Comfort of bed. Price.
Good ubication, very nice people.
Breakfast, same food everyday.
Helpful, courteous staff Spacious, comfortable room Lovely touch of fruit and chilled water available to guests in Reception
Noise from street traffic
the stuff was friendly,helpul
too much nioce
Staff was excellent. Room very good size. Clean. Because of a large convention in town, hotel rates were astronomical. The da Vinci was an exception and was quite reasonable.
It's an old '60's motor lodge built around a courtyard with a pool that has been rehabbed.
LOL! Just kidding about the bed, but man was it comfy! I usually travel with my pillows (don't mock me!), but no need here. The young folks at the desk were so helpful and accomodating as well. Couldn't ask for better customer service. Angel and the young lady who's name starts with "M" (sorry, I can't remember exactly), were just sweethearts.
My one, and only dislike was the traffic noise on Van Ness. I would likely trade the view of the Golden Gate for a room off the 101. However, loved the ear plugs in the nightstand! Popped those in and slept like the dead!
Location was perfect to head to the Bay Area and Polk Street had some amazing restaurants (And lovely coffee at St Franks!)
Wifi didn't reach our room on the top floor on the far side of the pool - however the common room by the lobby had good, quick connection.
Great for family with a 9 and 11 year old. Pool was lovely and warm. Location handy to all public transport.
Staff, location, proximity to bus, wifi
Slow lift, older property
- the bed. - the cleanliness.
- no power outlet for coffee maker. - toilet paper placement in relation to seat is not practical. - no facilities to boil water. no refrigerator. - the slow elevator.
cost of parking
A great help to us while we were in San Francisco. A big plus for the front desk staff
Location and the hotel was very comfy
The parking is 30 bucks a day, way too much since you'll be near everything
The Check in staff were vg only
the staff at breakfast were a little sad & miserable and the breakfast restaurant could do with a referb as it looks a little bit tired .
super fast internet comfy bed, nice warm shower
slow elevator restaurant is sub par
The location was great! I liked the entrance of the facility. The staff was nice and informative.
The hallways and elevators need work in order to match the ambiance of the entrance. The doors to the hotel rooms should be changed to a more attractive color/material. They look like doors one would see in a correction facility.
The room was clean and location of hotel was good. The staff were relatively friendly and the continental breakfast was decent.
At first I was disappointed that my request of golden gate bridge view went completely ignored, then I realized that there couldn't have been a single room that had this view, false advertising. My main issue was with the bedding, we had a duvet that was simply covered by 2 sheets. Even the most basic of hotels have full duvet covers. There was bin liner in the trash can, no kettle or microwave. No bath. Poor WiFi. Freezing cold hallways and lobby areas. Extremely overpriced.
