terrible part of own. alot of homeless people and beggars. the whole area generally smelled like urine. No air conditioner or fan. no onsite parking
it was a decent old hotel...nothing special.
1. Wifi signal is mot strong enough in some area in the room. 2. No power plug in near bed.

Everything, it was dirty. The area is horrible.
Lot of homless around, we scared a little bit at first :))
Clean and comfortable and so quiate
Showerhead didn't work at all, radiator heater was way too hot at night and was not evident how to adjust it (no thermostat)... having gotten in late we just crashed asleep instead of troubling to ask the desk how to adjust. Between that and very loud people on the street, it was just good we were very tired and so were able to sleep. Breakfast was not quality.
The staff is kind and very helpful.
Location wasn't great. Lots of homeless people hanging around. Not the greatness neighborhoods to be walking to get to shopping or the trolleys.
Okay for the price. Staff was very friendly and rooms were clean.
The hotel is central but the area is full of homeless with drug problems. That made our coming back uncomfortable, above all at night.
The staff was friendly. We stayed in a queen room, that was big and confortable.
The neighborhood is very noises too many drunks outside the area
The bed and the serve yourself breakfast
Couldn't go out at night to go for a stroll with friends and famiy because of common drugged individuals and harassing. It is better if you travel with men if you stay here just to be safe. Didn't really like the location because of the behavior homeless people. When I wake up and look out the window the first thing I see is a homeless man trying to break into a car right outside my window. There is no garage to park your car you have to walk across the street to Park your car however the prices are reasonable and they are there 24/7
Really like that the rooms were really clean as well as the bathroom. I like that we had a great view from our window. Overall hotel was really clean there is an eating area as well which is really nice and the staff was really friendly and really informative when he came to tourist attractions and services!!!
Bums outside but san francisco what can you expect : )
We loved the old elevator the staff was helpful and friendly
When I booked the room it was for the wrong room, when I went downstairs to talk with the gentleman I explained that that wasn't the room that I was looking for so he changed it but before doing so he said "if your friends have touched anything in the other room then you'll have to pay for that room too" when I asked him why he said because there cleaning lady is gone for the night. The building also smelt like animal feces as we were going up to our room.
The beds were very comfortable and we had a nice view.
ROUGH part of town. Hot water and WiFi don't always work. Homeless people yelling at each other during the night kept me awake.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Comfortable bed and plenty of space.
Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Room was nice and quite. Excellent TV connection and screen. Like the Refrigerator and microwave also.
We arrived to the hotel thinking there would be free parking and then the sir upfront says there isn't and we would have to pay. He didn't tell us it was free if we found at least a parking post considering we were there the weekend, we had to learn that from a homeless. After that once we unpacked the room didn't look anything like the picture online, it was squished. You can hear everyone screaming and squeaking everywhere. last but not least, when I tried cancelling before even entering they were gonna charge me 186 just to cancel, that's a steal! I did not enjoy this stay..
They brought up some more towels, and the tv.
Not a good location. Had to pay for parking.
Breakfast and price ok.
The bed had bed bugs
The neiboughood is not so safe. Not safe to walk alone, specially girl.
Over all is very good
terrible free breakfast menu and area around hotel was run down
staff and room was comfortable
There were more homeless people sleeping on the street within a block of the hotel than rooms in the hotel. It's an old building that's been recently painted over - with glossy paint, so it feels like a hospital (just not a clean one). The building was very tired and worn and the renovation the cheapest imaginable. The mattresses AND box springs were wrapped in thick plastic and the bathroom, while clean, was dilapidated, outdated, cheesy and cheap. The free breakfast was worth every penny and the breakfast room downright ghastly.
My room had a 50" HDTV and HD TV service - a nice surprise. I also got two free bottles of water. The property is conveniently located and was one of the only hotels I could find with available rooms.
Smell of lobby and rooms.
Not the hotel in general but mainly the odd people who loiter around the hotel area especially when hearing constant altercations outside at night and was a bit noisy too at night time with all the ambulances, fire trucks, police cars driving through.
I like the fact that the location is close to Union Square, Fisherman's wharf area and the access to those areas from the Hotel location. I like the architecture style of the building which fascinates me. The breakfast i really like the waffles.
