Score from 1964 reviews Very good
Location was very bad, rooms dirty, breakfast bad, expensive parking.
Staff are okay.
Outside environment.. Scarry. Lift is old type and small. Old and dated...
Nothing, this place sucks...the people were terrible and the hotel was awful.
Customer service was terrible. The front desk clerk was a jerk right when we got there. The location is an area full of homeless people and drug addicts. Drug deals were occurring right in front of the building. The security of the building was extremely poor (there was none). Got to our room and the bed was unmade and looked like someone was still occupying the room. We got a different room and there were stains on the sheets, the room was neat but not clean (dust everywhere, blinds were destroyed, smelt like pee, and etc.) After all that, the hotel would not give us a refund. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
The room had a sign for privacy and cleaning.
The continental breakfast only had sugar as an option for a sweetner and no substitute sugar. When asked if they could provide the staff said no.
Breakfast was included, the 31 bus line is directly outside the door and runs to the tourist areas, windows look new and can be opened, the frig and microwave in the room is great, fresh towels and toiletries, good value for SF.
Sketchy area, homeless people yelling in the night, felt unsafe outside after dark, poor wifi connection.
the location was good
lot of street noise , lift was not very convenient, room rate seemed over priced in regards to the services
It was cheap.. Close to downtown sights.. There is a parking spot for check-in to spare having to pay for metered parking..
There is no parking, so you need to pay $35 for valet, which is recommended because car theft is high in San Fran. Continental breakfast space is so small... Get there early as possible!! There are only single beds... It feels very old, so you better like old.. No A/C.. Like being in a bedroom in a house...
The free breakfast was definetly a plus
The location wasn't good. Surrounded by homeless people and people blatantly selling drugs
The location was unsafe. Staff were unhelpful. Breakfast wasn't too bad but not good for the price. Hotel needs updating. It is clean but the bathroom is put of date.
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Our room had a large closet which was nice.
The hotel is older so it is dated. Even with that being said it was clean. We didn't realize ahead of time that we had to pay for parking so that was a bummer.
Very costly for a budget hotel
The hotel was fairly up to date with furnishings, linens etc. Room was small but clean.
The website listed there was parking on site. When we arrived we found out there was NO parking on site. The closest garage was a block and a half away. Not located in the greatest area. Lots, really a lot of homeless people (that harrass you) in this area day and night that we had to step over & walk around going to & from the hotel to garage. In addition, the Regency does not contract with the parking garage like the fellow at the front desk told me, in fact those people are very rude, it's highway robbery with what they charge but your in a spot so you do the best dealing with it. We will not be staying here again. Better deals are out there.
The room and bathroom was clean. The king-size bed was comfortable. Sheets and pillows were soft and clean. Nice view of the city street from the wraparound bay windows.
Toilet seat was loose. Noise from the city street, but expected since the room faced the street. Being in the Tenderloin, there are homeless and drug addicts wandering around outside at all hours of the day and night.
The price. Bathrooms were clean and stocked with essential bathroom supplies. Need was comfortable.
No ice machine, it smelled really clean but over powering. The view was of other people living next door rather than the city side. And we couldn't figure out the heater.
They fail to say that this hotel is in the worst neighbourhood in San Fran. There a are homeless, drunks and druggies on every street. We did not feel safe at all! I would NEVER stay here again.
The value for money was good and it´s in walking distance from the city center (10 min). The staff was overall friendly.
The area surrounding the hotel has many homeless people, and it does feel secure to walk. Not the best area in the city. The breakfast was very basic and the same every day.
Location Friendly receptionists Parking possibility
Breakfast is terrible Bad smell through the hotel Bathroom needs renovation
WiFI was horrible. Hotel charges upfront for the entire stay, but does not refund any amount if you want to check out early. Even booking.com cannot help in this reagrds.
Close to central areas
A smoking room was booked, but none were available. Airport shuttle listed as available, but not free of charge.
the location. It is located in a shady neighborhood.
- расположение (гоп-район и много бомжей) - нет своей парковки - нет кондиционера (может быть холодно) - нет кофемашины в номере - очень бедный завтрак - непонятный запах в номере - location in not good district - no parking, no condition in a room (could be cold) - no coffee machine - very poor breakfast - any bad smell in a room
Our stay here was part of our honeymoon. To start off, the hotel is located in a horrible area absolutely swarming with homeless people. We had come back from dinner and a show so we asked the night receptionist where to park (there allegedly was a valet service offered by the hotel for $25) and he had no idea what we were saying (did not speak any/much English). We were going to pay for valet at the hotel but he had no idea where the lot was or even what we were saying. We were told earlier when we checked in by the original receptionist, the parking was double for a small suv even though my car fits in a compact spot with room to spare. So we drove around for an hour trying to find this lot and finally settled on any private lot in the area but by that time all the lots were full or closed. We parked on the street in front of the hotel and in a period of 4 hours some one broke into our car and stolen a bunch of our stuff. While I was making the police report some one came up and tried to sell my Husband some crack. Literally. We left as soon as the report was made, as we had no desire to stay for the second night we had booked. Worst experience with a hotel we've ever had. We wanted a refund for the second night but they said to contact Booking.com but could not find any way to get a hold of you guys.
I liked the refrigerator and toothbrushes provided.
I think the location makes the staff forget to have respect for their customers. The price was reasonable but not some cheap "no tell motel". Clients should be given much better service and a lot less attitude.
Location was close to many things
Bathroom door didn't close, there was a leak on ceiling in bathroom
