From the exterior, it is not as nice as portrayed in photos. Located on busy street corner, next to a liquor store. Did not feel safe in my room. Very large gap between door and door jam, letting in light. Felt others could see in. Very noisy with people activity outside of my room and in room above me, well into the night. There were long hairs on the bath towel and debris in the corners of the floor. Staff rushed me through check in process, not really wanting to answer questions. Check out staff was better.
The room rate versus other area hotels is the only thing going for this place. The chains in the area were pretty high priced. I was hoping a one-off hotel might have an advantage. Remember the saying, you get what you pay for...
The Frontdesk staff.
The price and the location
It wasn't as it was advertised- a picture is worth a thousand words and the picture was an upgrade of what the hotel actually was- I had to search for an outlet in the room to make the coffee because it didn't reach where it was originally! I just thought it was way to pricey for what they offered!
Wifi was easy to connect- near the freeway-
The price was increased from the agree price on this website. The rooms towels bed sheets ect were not clean & very old the facilities need major updates and are in violation of code
The proximity to many stores
Zero wifi. I could never get online. The carpet is so dirty, that the bathroom tile was filthy from whenever I walked on I tracking the dirt. They need to professionally steam clean ALL the rooms carpet. Furniture is really dirty too. I would set a bathroom towel over the chair before I eve sat in it or set my camera bag on it. Utterly filthy carpet & furniture.
Location. Comfortable bed.
There were many disappointments. 1st was being told that the shuttle to the airport would be an additional $13. While not a big deal, it is not mentioned anywhere on their website that this fee exists, they just tout an airport shuttle. Being disabled, I had requested a 1st floor room if at all possible (reservation was made 2 weeks in advance). When I got there I was on the 2nd floor, I asked about an elevator as I had 2 pieces of luggage, and the girl on the desk rather rudely said, it's only 1 flight. Reminding her I was disabled and couldn't get the larger of the 2 cases up the stairs by myself, she shrugged and said I guess I could keep the big one in the office. When I got to my room I found that the TV would not turn on. I called the desk and she proceeded to give me instructions about checking cables and power outlets and setting the TV on channel 3. I had already checked everything except the channel as it was the TV that would not turn on. She grudgingly said she would call someone. (No one came until staff change at 11pm when the new desk clerk came up and found that I had the wrong remote). I then left for dinner and stopped to ask her where the nearest of my favorite chain restaurants was. She looked it up and gave me the address. Since she was on their web site I asked if she would please print the driving directions. Again, rather rudely, "just put it into your GPS". I didn't have a GPS and was told "Why, you're supposed to". She did hit the print button, but grudgingly. All in all, while the hotel is fairly quiet, clean and in a convenient location, the staff with which I was greeted left a very sour taste in my mouth.
Breakfast was a carb fest, but still yummy.
Staff was great, room was clean and big, location nice, close to downtown.
Bathroom in need of a renovation. What we really did not like was to be told we were "upgraded" to a couple of double beds instead of the king bed we had reserved. Desk person was rather rude upon check in when I said we wanted a king. Other desk people we met were great. One bad apple........
Most of the staff was kind and courteous. Decent location for attending conference at the SAP Center. Lots of places to eat within walking distance.
Tried to use the heater, and blew the fuse for the room. Doors have only a deadbolt. I didn't feel safe staying there alone.
At least there was plenty of hot water! My room was clean, and smelled fresh.
Our tv did not work when we first checked in. My boyfriend went down and spoke to the front desk for help. They explain he wasn't doing it right, I tried to turn the tv on and it still did not work. I called down to the front desk she told me there was no one there that could help right now but if we let them fix if later when we were gone they would fix the tv, we were ok with that. We got back later that night and the tv was still not fixed. We went down to the front desk again and a young man was working, and he was the best service we received during our stay. He came up to the room agreed that the tv was broken tried bringing another tv to the room which also did not work. There was nothing else he could do, so we had to spend the rest of our stay with no tv and a promise of room credit for the inconvenience. We received $10 off our $100 room. when we were told this at check out the girl working did not seem to care about our problems and explained only management can get the discount and brushed us off. We will never stay there again.
Receptionist was incompetent and staff were really unwilling to help resolve any issue. Breakfast - below any expectations.
Even though I paid with cash, they charged my credit card! The staff was extremely unwilling to resolve the issue, including the manager of the hotel. As a result I paid twice for my stay and I'm very dissatisfied with my choice overall. Additionally, the breakfast was very poor.
Good location is probably the only upside of this hotel.
Internet connectivity was nil in my room. The traffic noises were quite apparent.
The staff person first night was very pleasant. So was the person upon check out.
Bedding. .look very plain.
The room was dirty and outdated. It smelled like smoke even though it was a nonsmoking room. There was a layer of grease on all of the wood furniture. The carpet was filty and after walking around with socks on the bottom of them we're black, had to be ware shoe in the room the whole time.
courtous of staff
breakfast, a little bit old place.
They received my packages, it is near the train station (gish), good price, calm place.
Staff was very helpful and pleasant!
Good service. Attentive staff.
TV did not work, only one wash towel, one hand towel. No extra toilet paper. Promised wake up call never happened! Shuttle was not included.
Most everything is standard Old. Need standard New/upgrades.
Location location location
Not great part of town, noisy, cold water in bathroom sink was off, cable tv didn't work, not clean. Due to allergies we had to keep window open, which was noisy and questionable. Stayed one night, they are trying to bill us extra $310 they said for "lost key", in addition to $92 for the night.
I booked three room all were separated also receptionist at time of check in was kinda rude not friendly at all. Wished I knew they only took cards no cash
You should not even say you have breakfast. Facilities old and uncomfortable. Three tiny pillows?!?! Why can't we get a big pillow? So cheap. So cheap. I honestly believe the motel 6 would have been better.
It was clean.
