The location was excellent, very nice neighbourhood with easy access to public transport, Fisherman's Wharf and other attractions. The staff where friendly and very helpful. The hotel is very well maintained despite it's old school feel If your neighbours are noisy you will definitely hear them |

Rooms great - individual n a bit quirky (not like a bland, anonymous holiday inn or similar). Glad there's no tv. Spotlessly clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Will always choose the San Remo. |

Cozy hotel in a quiet, safe location. Lots of charm, narrow staircases and halls with plants hanging all over. Small rooms, but very clean. Great Italian restaurant under hotel. Unlike other parts of the area, free of other tourist hotels and noise. |

Couldn't have asked for a better location! The rooms were as it says, just a bed. This situation while at first is unappealing ended up being fine because we literally only needed a place to rest (mid afternoon nap and night sleeping). The staff was also willing to hold onto our bags which helped a lot at the beginning and end of our trip. I kind of wish I would have known about the bed frame. I am 6'6" and typically sleep with my feet off the bed or diagonally. The bed frame made it almost impossible to sleep without being able to extend my legs fully. |

It's very close to everything in the area. We like the history of the area kind of sprinkled around the walls in old clippings, news stoties, etc. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Love the cleanliness, and willingness to help of the staff. Most of the beds (we have stayed here many times) are getting very old and creaky, maybe even more creaky than my wife and I. |

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were definitly small with no frills, but the location is amazing. The shared bathrooms were clean and almost always empty. Try to get a room on the second floor with a sink. If you need a budget priced hotel in a great location, with a staff that is fabulous, then stay here. It is unbelievably noisy. I live in downtown Chicago, so I'm used to noise and chaos... but this was insane. Doors kept opening and closing, windows rattled... it was crazy. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper, but from 6am to about 10am it was impossible to sleep. Bring earplugs or a noise machine. |

Location, location, location. It was near several major attractions: Fisherman Wharf, Cable Car, Railway Museum, Downtown SF, etc. There are many cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby. The noise level is noticeable. Then again, it might've been the July 4 festivities. |

The hotel was quiet. No noisy clients, no tv, no telephone, very cosy, international clientele. The garbage pick up in the street early morning (our window was facing the back alley) |

i book the hotel for my step daughter and husband as a newleywed gift not knowing that you are were not an actual hotel but mofre like a hostel i was very dissappointed in the false representation and was shocked to find out about it being more like a hostel i was very careful in selecting something close to pier 39 so as per their request to be near the pier 39 had i known this before booking i would not have booked in your hotel as it was not a very pleasant honeymoon experience for them. not having thier own bathroom was not the ideal situation. i think you need to either pull out of the hotels booking section or be more descriptive and up front of your establishment. i think you purposely advertise in the hotels section as to capitalize on this falsness. i evan requested a king size bed and was given a full size bed for 2 full size adults. |

The hotel is quiet and warm. I like the absence of TV. Like the decor, the plants, the rooms are warm, the history posted on the walls, massage chair. Showers; very clean, good water presser, disposable floor mats very handy. Toilets; separate room, old style, very clean – all very accessible. Excellent location! I would like to see a small tea and coffee nook. |

Das Hotel ist ein Schatzkästchen. Sehr angenehm altmodische Einrichtung, alles gut in Schuss (auch die Badewanne mit Füßen), individuell eingerichtete Zimmer. Sehr gemütlich. Schönes Stadtviertel, sichere Gegend. |

perfecte ligging, schone gedeelde badkamers. Ik heb het hotel geboekt op basis van de posistieve beoordelingen die ik las. Ik moet zeggen dat ik het zeer overgewaardeerd vind. We hadden een kamer van max 6m2 met een bed van 1.40m incl een geplastificeerd matras tevens was het zeer gehorig. Ik kreeg het gevoel alsof ik weer in een studentenhuis woonde. |
