The location of this hotel was very convenient with basically all the amenities nearby. The Room we stayed in was very nice with excellent bedding! With our 3 year old, there was more than enough pillows for him to make his fortress. Very nice! Even with no fan or microwave inside our room, when requested; the staff carried both items to our room for use.

Room was nicely furnished, staff were good and it was just a 15 minute walk to the marina.
No air con in the room, this made sleeping difficult in a really warm room in October. Given how new the hotel was, we were really surprised by this.
Location and room layout
If daytime temps are 80 or above, room will not cool off enough at night for sleeping. Even with a fan furnished by management, it was not enough
Small but quick and efficient reception The food in restaurant was lovely Small pool plenty of pool towels Ideally situated for walking into old town or nearby piers or bus routes to Carmel and wine regions.
Biggest fault no air conditioning in the bedrooms. Fan supplied by the reception however this was not sufficient.

The hotel was fantastic! From the moment warm welcome at reception, to the comfy beds and delicious breakfast followed by a jacuzzi. Wished we could have stayed longer!

We were given a Handicapped room next to the ramp that everyone needed to wheel their luggage up. The windows had to be opened, due to no fan or air conditioning. There was noise from the DJ across the street at the Mexican restaurant.

I did like the pool and spa area, although it is too small for the size of the facility. Also, the Wi-Fi functioned well enough without buying offered upgrades.
The staff had not made note of the fact we were bringing our dog and were confused at the front desk. They were obviously busy, but they were inappropriately dismissive. We had to call for cleaning in spite of being gone for hours with the please service card on the door. We were told staff were busy preparing for a group coming in later. We had been there for one night and were staying over again-We returned to a room with no fresh towels, clean glasses and the room had not been straightened in any way. I guess they already had more concern for those coming than those staying.
Rooms were nicely decorated and clean, pool area was nice, lobby and dining area were nice enough (maybe not the setting for a romantic meal).
At first we were very impressed with the hotel. The staff in the lobby we friendly, the room was lovely, we sat by the pool and enjoyed the hot tub, it was great! The location makes it difficult to walk anywhere, its too far away from cannery row to walk and to far from the nice restaurants of the downtown area, but that wasn't the end of the world as we had a car. The problems started when we returned to the hotel. We went to bed early (10.00pm) as we had an early start the next day to do a skydive. Whilst in bed trying to sleep, all we could hear were the family of 4 next door, who were crammed into a room the same size as ours (barely big enough for the two of us). Although they were not shouting, they were talking quite loudly (considering the time of night) and we could hear every single word they were saying as well as the television! I put up with this for 2 hours before putting on a robe, walking across the car park to the lobby to speak to the night porter (midnight). He assured me he would call the room next door and ask them to keep it down. He did not call the room and the noise continued. I eventually banged on the wall and asked them to keep it down, to which they banged back and carried on. The next morning i requested to move rooms for our 2nd night stay, so we packed our bags up and moved to a room in another block. Due to the lack of sleep and early start, i was ill all of the next day and ended up in bed at 7pm on the evening feeling like a day of our holiday had been wasted. On checking out the following morning i explained to the staff on reception i would not be paying for the 1st night stay, at which point they became less helpful and made me feel like an awkward customer they just wanted to get rid of. After a call to the manager i was offered half off the first night. I explained that they had not heard me correctly as i had already said i wouldn't be paying for the 1st night at all.

We have booked well in advance and asked for quite rooms, both rooms were facing the street, couldnt keep the windows open due to noise.
