Room 1206 is very loud and could here everything from ice machine to staff near check in. I would never stay in that room or area again.

Structure seems to be older. Thin flooring. Suggest staying on 3rd floor.

Our room did not match the picture in the brochure; We saw another visitor walk from the pool area to the lobby wearing nothing but see through panties & a bra in stiletto heels (thought she was a hooker); we hard little warm water (hot was not working); no water pressure and sink was backed up; fireplace did not work properly. Also on arrival I was informed my credit card was charged $40 for *incidentials" for which I was not told would happen prior to my visit, and my acciunt also shows $41 debit. All & all, not a great Valentines visit.

The hotel room was very clean. Decor was tasteful.

No sound barriers !!!! Could hear peole in rooms while walkjng in halls.Large gap under door is part of problem.

The room was spacious, well maintained and comfortable. The staff were friendly, courteous and informative. We ate in the hotel and the food was very good, the chef came out and spoke to us and explained what he was trying to achieve with the restaurant.

We had to go out of the hotel to access the spa/pool area, but apart from that not much to fault.

We had a bit of difficulty finding the entrance door to the section we stayed in. Perhaps a sign of some sort would fix that.

The staff were friendly and very helpful.

The area has some early morning noise, like trash collection trucks. That is very loud and very early in the morning!

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were very clean and hotel was very well maintained. Loved the heated pool. Would stay here again if and when the opportunity arises.

It's a renewed motel, the location is very bad, on the road to carmel, far away from downtown.

It's not comfortable at all, you can hear everything, it's like plastic wall. It has a very bad location, and it's ridicously overpriced, $200 for nothing special. Not recommended at all.

A group of 4 people, a mother of 2 kids and my oldest sons girlfriend, arrived at the hotel, a decent spot and easy to find, and there was a problem with our reservation, they didnt have our double bed room, but luckily the staff was friendly enough to give us a second room without charging it, very satisfying.

We enjoyed our stay at the Abrego, Very clean rooms, helpful/friendly staff, it was near to the beach, near to Fishermans wharfe, Good roads and easy to locate. Daytrips were followed by a dip in the pool and a lounge in the hot tub----GREAT.

We liked the look of the dining area, however thought it lacked atmosphere so we chose to take breakfast and evening meal out.

Super clean and comfortable. Tastefully decorated. The double queen room was very spaceous. Excellent room service and great front desk staff. When we asked if there is a microwave in the hotel we could use, they sent us one to the room free of charge. Fresh bowl of fruit in the lobby all day is a nice touch. Organic products in the bathoom is a big plus! Clean pool and jacuzzi, pool towels available right next to the pool. Coin laundry is very handy too. Trader Joe's grocery, restaurants, Fisherman's Wharf, Kids Museum, Park, pretty much everything is a walking distance. Great!

The breakfast is great, it just gets a little too pricey to have it every day in the hotel. Family of four (two adults and two kids) will spend close to 40 usd including tax and tip (it is basically regular restaurant providing breakfast). Too much for a breakfast in my opinion. Btw, great French bakery with tons of pastries, bread and great coffee within walking distance, right across the street from My Museum.

The bed and bedding was very comfortable. Room was clean and decorated nicely.

Staff were efficient and friendly. The food was fabulous and the buffet breakfast fresh and delicious. Rooms were very comfortable. Clean and well maintained daily. The bed was very comfortable and although near a main road, virtually no traffic noise at all.

Rooms were well themed. Nice & modern. Bed was nice & comortable. The breakfast was so delicious & surprisingly inexpensive.

The dinner had no real options. It was basically one item for $23/ person or nothing. There was also no pet area (grass) for your pet to go on.

I liked that it was a quiet atmosphere. I also liked the decor.

The shower smelled of mildew. I was excited when I booked and it said that the hotel had L'Occtaine bath products, however, that was not the case. There was some other bath line. I really enjoy using L'Occtaine products.

It was hard to find. It was our first time in Monterey and arrived at night. We had to call for directions because there are no signs and very few street signs that we could even find.
