needs updates if you want these rates
The rooms are very nice and spacious. They are not over the top fancy but that is good because you do not want to be stuck in the room all day. Also, there was plenty of room with two Queen beds and a pull out Sofa. There was also two TVs in the room.
The staff was friendly, the room was clean, it was an easy walk to the park (5-7 minutes), and the most important thing to me was that I felt safe while staying there alone with my young daughter. A lot of reviews complained about the price but I found a fair rate on booking.com
The beds could have been more plush.... but I slept well.
The room we got smelled like pee covered up weth cherry flavored perfume. The smell gave both of us nausea and headaches within 5 minutes. We asked for, and got, another room. It too had the cherry smell, but not the pee, so we reluctantly stayed and then left at 5AM to get away for some fresh air.
Convenience of being close to the park. Scenic area. Walking/Jogging path right next to the hotel.
Woke up with sound of the guests above me walking around. Not very soundproof.
Location was great. We were within walking distance of Cedar Point but used shuttle service to park and it dropped us at the entrance by marina and promptly picked us up when we called hotel to let them know we were back at marina and ready to return to hotel
The hotel does need updated. It was clean but could use a remodel. A little expensive for what you get.
Convenience of the access to the park - this is a big plus! Loved the beautiful view of the lake. Liked the suite separate sitting area.
There was a hornet's nest on the balcony!! Wasn't able to sit out on the balcony. Should have mentioned it while there, but had too many things to do; slipped my mind. Not a major negative but I feel a full dining room would be a good idea. The existing breakfast buffet is just too expensive. We went into town for meals.
Quick check in
The beds. The price. And the noise. Very uncomfortable
Overall a good stay, great location if you are going to Cedar Point.
The walls are very thin and we could hear kids running and screaming int he halls and above us in the early morning.
Location was great.
A toaster would be helpful.
that the rooms were pretty spacious and even tho it was not a 5 star hotel, they were clean..
That the lobby area was not up to date and that the hotel had no beach area to walk out to.
Within walking distance Very nice view of lake Grounds were clean Staff was friendly Got to check in early. That was a plus! Early entry to park!
Beds weren't comfortable Very pricey. Bathroom is so small. The door hits the toilet when shutting it. TV's were tiny
Nothing. I cannot think of anything, particularly in the 200 characters required of the "what did you like" category, that we liked. Sorry. We were terribly disappointed.
Poorly managed. Check in clerk on Labor Day weekend starting her first day of work. Manager should have been out front to keep things moving smoothly and coach new employee on such a busy day. Room was functional but stark. Turning on the TV in the bedroom caused the TV in the living room to turn on. Chintzy towels and wash cloths. Entire facility about 40 years past due for updating. I read that Breakers next door was worse. Oh well.
I like that it was within walking distance from everything.
The shuttle service needs more work. one driver for the entire route. Not acceptable.
All the bugs that were around the entrance s to the room wings
I didn't like how the pool had little dead mosquito-like animals in the pool
Closeness to the park. Poor area closes way too early
Poor area closes way to early
Access to park is huge bonus. Your early entry lets you ride the major rides before the general public.we were able to ride 3 coasters in 45 min
They really soak you on the price for the quality of the room
stay here every year last week of August past 5 years. can't beat location and value. plan to be back next august
Discounted cedar point tickets, friendly staff, clean rooms.
My kids were excited and happy to be there. We loved that there was a separate bedroom that had 2 queen beds and a sofa bed for the living room. 2 TV's We put the "do not disturb" sign out and but we did have a note at the door stating that if we needed anymore towels let them know. The pool and hot tub areas was very nice.
TV's did not give same channels Patio had no light, was taken out. Could not exit patio Smelled like a damp basement and the carpet felt damp Use of some type of plug-in did not take away the smell just added to it. Lack of info on hotel and services, not even info on the shuttle bus in our room. Long black hair on clean sheets we had not even sleep in. I have blonde hair, my husband has very short black hair and my two boys have brown hair cut very short. 100% the hair did not belong to us.
Liked the location. The staff were very helpful. And having a suit for our size family works great. The room was clean- which had me worried because other parts of the hotel were not.
I did not understand from the website ( & could be the only one who missed it) that parking was paid for. And if you could get discounted park tickets. The pool hrs. 9:00-9 seems silly with the hrs if the park- & the pool needed some cleaning. The stairways & elevator needed some serious scrubbing as well.
While we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the part and resort, I over heard other Guests complain a lot. Missing things in rooms, rooms had odors, wrong tickets... Its an Ohio resort, not the Caribbean.
We love the convenience of staying close to the park.
The sleeper sofa is not a comfotable mattress. Would rather have a FUTON!
Very strong deodorizer smell, smell from AC units made balcony/patio unusable, extremely understaffed at restaurant, found slug in my room
