Sands Motel  

The restaurant called Amy's Cafe was in the parking lot, and it had wonderful food and service.

The carpet was filthy. The shower didn't work and the plug for the tub was missing. Mold was growing in the corners of the tub.

There were ants in the bathroom tub and on our towels. We asked for a non smoke room and it reaked of cigarettes.

The only thing that was good was it was by a mall and near my family house.

I didn't like the fact that it had free wifi and we had to get a piece of paper with a code on it to sign into the wifi and we were only given one then we had to call and ask for the other ones. I had to ask for towels they ask for the used ones and we never even he enough for the four of us in the room to begin with. They had very poor customer service. I will never stay there again nor will I suggest anyone to stay there. I had dirty sheets on my bed as well.

The room was spacious and the beds comfortable. The furniture was dated and worn, but functional. The location was convenient to shopping, restaurants, etc. Great coffee shop adjacent to the motel.

The pillows were thrashed and past-due for replacement.. The carpet was stained and did not appear to have been cleaned in quite a while... dirty! In a room for three, there was one coffee cup, one coffee packet and just one towel.... and the staff was NOT responsive to addressing the issue. We were there for three days... and housekeeping never replaced the single coffee packet. When I went to the office to ask for extra towels, I was asked to get them from housekeeping when the arrived in the afternoon. I guess we were expected to have a drip-dry morning shower. I did, however, get a reluctant delivery of the towels by the manager/clerk. We had children stomping and running around on the floor above us...not the motel's fault, but not a great experience. All that being said, it was cheap and affordable and functional.

Insect infestation. The entire room had stray ants everywhere, especially in the bathroom.

It would have been nicer if we didn't find a hypodermic needle in the bathroom when we checked in!

It was easy to find. The bathroom was spotless.

The mattress in room 212 needs to be replaced. They're getting old.

This was the third worst hotel experience I've ever had. The others included dog feces and bedbugs respectively. This was slightly better.

The price.

The air conditioner did not work very well. We were sweating in a sauna all night.

Easy to get to and reasonable prices. Staff were helpful and friendly especially in allowing us to stay in our room a couple of extra hours free of charge when we were locked outside our car.

Pros:There was a fridge and a Microwave and it was located by many shops.

Cons: There were cigarette holes in our sheets and comforter, our cleaning lady never came to make our bed, tidy up, or even take out the trashes. When we were sleeping we got woke up at 2am by someone banging on our door trying to get in.

It wasn't a good enviroment for my out of state guest

I asked for smoking and got non-smoking and the other guest on the same floor were up all nite (loud)
